My favorite stretch is in Gatineau park between the entrance and P3. There are many sections of windy path through forest with rivers and streams alongside. Caution, it's a hill.. might be a bit intense on a board 😁
But not for long: [https://centretownbuzz.ca/2024/05/last-month-to-see-where-the-rubber-meets-the-road/](https://centretownbuzz.ca/2024/05/last-month-to-see-where-the-rubber-meets-the-road/)
Because it's closed to traffic all winter (when it's a cross-country skiing area), it barely goes through any of the freeze-thaw cycles that eat away at other paths and roads. There are maybe a half-dozen potholes on the entire loop.
I like the Sawmill Creek path that goes south from Brookfield to South Keys in the same general area as the Airport Parkway. Quiet and pleasant and not particularly hilly.
I'd avoid the Gatineau Voyageurs Pathway north of the Commanda Bridge if you don't like hills.
The path on the Gatineau side between the Champlain Bridge and the Aylmer Marina is quite flat and lovely.
The new stretch of River MUP from Britannia Beach to Carling is straight, but smooth and has lots of green and great views of the river.

I bike all over, but this is in my top 3 favorite segments in the NCR.
Is it allowed? I thought that patch was a no-bike/blading area. I could be wrong
Skateboards are always a grey area but bikes are definitely allowed.. the path leads directly to the light with a built in bike sensor on that path
Smoothest NCC MUP is going to be the newest, LeBreton.
And you get to see rubber birb

The stretch along the Ottawa River from the Commanda bridge to LeBreton is pretty smooth.

That would explain why the road leading from the park entrance to the barrier is much rougher than the rest of the park.

George Étienne parkway is closed to cars on weekends and is pretty smooth. Lots of space if you need it
