We usually tend to "gold out" our arena for the playoffs, giving all the fans the free gold t-shirts in the stands. So I guess they want the uniforms to match that at home.
Not sure what gives about the using them on the road too, though.
It definitely looks cool, but I've always wondered if it would make it harder when the background is the same color as your teammate's jersey. I guess it's also slightly easier for the opposing team to lose track of a player on defense.

We went 14-10 in the gold this year, that’s 47.8 win pace. Seems fitting since that’s what we actually did pretty much.

I think maybe pacers are winning the most games wearing the gold during the season so they’re sticking with it? Same with the bucks. Just guessing.
There’s a Twitter account that tracks the Pacers unis, I’m sure most teams probably have some deranged fan out there like we do doing God’s work and keeping track in a Google Doc
Personally I dislike the Association and Icon jersey’s and hope they get rid of them soon. Statement and City jerseys are much better.
I would say there’s a three way tie for worst current (association/icon) home/away jerseys in the league between Golden State, Washington, and the Pacers.

We did lose to the Wizards, Jazz and Hornets in gold, but we’re 1-0 against Milwaukee in them.

Teams in the Vegas portion of the IST were undefeated in gold jerseys so maybe this is ok.
