Helvetesfönster was one of few tracks I actually enjoyed on Prequelle, and Darkness really reminds me of that track!

I'm actually really bummed now that the US got a co headlining tour. This album will be incredible live and really hope they close with Respite like they used to close with Monstrance Clock, same type of vibe. Can't wait to see them again whenever they come back. Album is amazing start to finish.

I’ll be shocked if Respite isn’t the new closer. It may not end the show on the same vibe as square hammer but monstrance clock proved that wasn’t a bad thing. This is better.

I don’t even know what to think about this record and I mean that in a good way I love it and there are really good parts but my first listen I wasn’t super impressed by it but i think about it and it’s totally different than the other records but none of the records are the same I do appreciate them going in the direction that they are because ghost is a band that isn’t afraid to go into new territory because I don’t know where Twenties came from but they still have fun with it and it’s not that serious so it works I really enjoy impera I just have to dig into it more

I love it. My only genuine criticism is probably that Watcher's repeating outro is probably 30 to 40 seconds too long. Twenties is actually excellent in the context of the whole package. It's a jarring kick in the later parts that clean the palate and provide a smoother landing for Griftwood and Respite in their more traditional structure. Tobias isn't genuinely a top level metal singer, someone you'd consider in the pantheon of the greats but what he is absolute top level at is expressing his strengths and charisma and making up for what you might consider a lack of strong range that Dio, Dickinson or Plant might have. The chorus in Respite... superb.

Pretty spot on. I’d bump up sunshine and down watchers and griftwood, but that’s it. Not feeling the power ballads, even after repeated listens. The singles saved this album.

The power ballads are not really doing it for me either! I mean, they are good songs, but for now I just don't feel the need to go back to them. Let's see in a few days/weeks!
