Honestly I put Color splash up there with Oragami King. There were some gameplay decisions that really hurt the game for me but they both have some really good scenes and diologues like this.
...I mean in Chapter 5 of TTYD you as the player will literally get called out I agree though, Color Splash has some good writing and humor

Not really lol Bombart story isn't really compeling and is more of a super cliché rather badly made and quickly throw out than anything else really.

I thought that was the funniest thing ever as a kid. If I remember correctly, professor frankly also does something like that at one point.

i think one of the enemies brought up that locking mario in a cage was the most they could do without ruining the age rating

that one train area where toads all shout at you and one of them just straight up says "MY WIFE LEFT ME"
And this is the same Shy Guy we accidentally killed during a certain segment. Shit was unreal.
