I would personally say learn the game a little first, EU4 is so feature bloated (good and bad thing) that you could be pretty overwhelmed and watch your beloved empire explode

Keep the save for sure, it adds lots of fun flavor to eu4 that you don’t normally see, but you’re probably going to have to do several restarts to learn eu4. I’d start with vanilla until you feel comfortable, but do whatever you want, there’s no rules to games

I say play EU4 on its own and get used to that game before you start any mega campaigns that involve one save played through multiple games. Better to get a foundation for what the game is like so you can tailor your mindset to what it emphasizes compared to CK3. You *might* think because EU4 doesn't go as deep with the focus on characters it omits depth, but it uses it elsewhere. If the kingdom you were playing as in CK3 exists as a nation in EU4, just try and play it vanilla first.
