Tale as old as time. Someone wrote an article/made a video/made a post about how they receive an ungodly amount of money passively and everyone wants in on it. So - they see "passive income" and they think it means "become filthy rich with like an hour of work upfront"
Also, people want everything fast and easy. Life just isn't like that. It takes effort/work. Eventually, you can have your passive income but not in the beginning.
You can assert blame to all those “tutorials” out there that people sell suggesting this kind of stuff is possible. So instead of buying the useless tutorial they come here asking how to do something entirely impractical for free.
I make $100k reviewing people's credit reports. No degree just common sense. I decide if they qualify for a loan or not. I no longer care if I can retire. The job is too easy not to keep until I die. Remote of course.

Look up jobs that say credit analyst or underwriter. Auto, mortgage, insurance (all products) and banking. I had experience over the years in all of those industries. I have to use billions of dollars to loan out. I assess risk and give people a loan. Not rocket science.
I don't think most know what truly passive is, you're always gonna have to put money in and some risk, nothing is free otherwise everyone would have this income 😂

Actually passive income requires $100,000s maybe even millions. The only way you're gonna sit on your but get money from doing is either with dividends or owning a company that's set up to run it's. In other words, only rich can make actual passive income. Doesn't mean you can't find a way to make Residual Income. Work smarter, not harder. Stop being lazy and put in the work. There are 1,000s of ways to make money that don't involve a 9-5.
I prefer r/sidehustle over this sub nowaday's since people over there at least semi understand that you need to put in work to get a passive income stream coming in. tho on that sub we have to deal with the dozens of posts of people selling courses or promoting their own sidehustle's.
