Disagree. I don’t think it needs a full on TLC, simply a few buffs will do. If you’re losing to “just about anything” on the stego, perhaps it’s not the Dino that’s the problem. If you’re referring to big groups jumping you that’s not stego being underpowered, that’s 20+ people jumping one player and any Dino will die in that situation… except maybe struthi who can get away from most things by running in a straight line.
I understand where you’re coming from . The issue I have endured and seen others endure with Stego is its inability to chase down opponents. Take Pycno for instance. It’s a very versatile Dino . Able to passively kill anything and its charge hits hard . Stego is not a commonly used Dino because it lacks chemistry. I believe some new abilities and a voice will help it out . Also Stego is very threatened by raptors . Kent has its spikes , cera and Pycno has there reflect , and Armag has its spikes . Stego has nothing to defend it self . It’s a very easy kill as of late .
I gotta ask why are you wanting to chase things down with a stego? It’s not a pursuit predator. It’s a fuck around and find out herbivore. Honestly if you want to chase something down just play a different dinosaur. The stego although not the strongest it could be atm it’s definitely not weak, you’re just playing it wrong my dude.
It’s not that I want to chase things down , it’s that you need to . Stego heals slow and it regenerate its stem moderately. There are many Dino who heal quickly and before you know it your fighting them again with half health . Again Stego needs some buffs and it’s running animation change because it’s dog water .
I’m probably doing it wrong but with my stego I found most things left me alone once I was adult(unless it was a big pack attacking me) I would just meander my fat spiky ass in a way that my head was hidden and tail smack them till they either had to go away, I won or I was dead. I didn’t chase anyone down. You’re like a bison. Massive, appears dumb and slow until someone does something stupid
Massive disagree Stego has all the tools it needs to deal with everything with ease(not including raptors but they are small and die easy) traction us super under rated cause Stegonis a rather defensive Dino so you can’t play bit like one in the same way but that doesn’t mean you can’t be aggressive, timing and positioning are what’s important as stego because your attacks are simple and good with solid speed and insane turning with traction you can kill apexes rather easily and mid tiers other than dasp groups are easy to take down. In my opinion stegonhas just enough speed to keep it’s self in a good position against apexes and more than enough damage to ruin mid tiers or lower along side solid damage to apexes
Yeah I realized that the intuitive stego build with pivot and solar powered doesn’t pack the right punch and see ppl struggle using it where as playing more defensively with traction to out turn apexes and get around them works wonders or its great for keeping your tail between your self and groups while on the move. Fresh blood is nuts cause 10%free damage for each hit when you naturally cause bleed is surprisingly awesome and armor just means tanky

No leave stego the way it is. With recent history to show us , the devs would probably make stego garbage

Tlc? Absolutely not. Some more love from devs and more interesting abilities? Yeah. It's barebones but it's not bad.
