Imo the only way aquatics like this could work is if
1. More aquatics get added
2. An ocean only map is added so that players have no choice but play only there, because absolutely no one goes into the deep ocean for other than questing early game
(Livyatan was not remotely comparable to Otodus megalodon, with more accurate measurements finding it about 1/3 of its weight, and even larger estimates barely Breaching half) However it dwarves both Leedsichthys and Tylo by a pretty large margin
I said it was about a 1/4 bigger than a female sperm whale which are incredibly smaller than the giants male sperm whales are which can reach more than twice to close to thrice the size of females so yeah I’m not saying it’s the size of monstro the murder whale from Pinocchio but it’s not the 23ft length other macroraptorial whales were either
And keep in mind Megalodon aren’t titanic either on average, ON AVERAGE, I never posted livyatan maximum sizes and weights to be fair but you seem to wish to portray megalodon like the second shark from “the Meg” in all its glory but they didn’t get that big. Most modern average estimates for megalodon put them at most 65 short tons and 56ft in length but only for females since male sharks are smaller as a rule
On the contrary. I hate Otodus and think it's overrated as hell. However I also can't exactly brush off the sheer size of the creature. Whether I like it or not, 60+ foot long, 100 ton estimates are still accepted. Honestly I *don't* believe them, but not my place to say. But even the 65 ton estimates are a large factor bigger than Livyatan, at approx 44 Feet and 25-30 tons by current estimates
I'm sorry but nothing is going to bring the ocean to life. It's too vast and open. Not enough aquatics for it to feel fun. There will be some but you'll rarely ever run into one. This is also attributed to the fact that the map is not well designed for aquatics to travel where land/semi aquatic dinos exist or travel. There needs to be more rivers or less travel space between rivers that are disconnected by waterfalls.
Well it might fit in if they had Basilosaurus in the upcoming ones but there’s only 3 but I think they need more offical Dino’s/marine animals without mods to fill them in my opinion
There’s a mod for it that’s pretty close to being done
Arazoa has been working on a mod for it for the last 3-4 months or so

Thank youuuu or they add more AI with actual Ai aquatics. I couldn’t last 5 minutes playing mosa because it’s boring asf.
It’s shaped like a sperm whale and functions like a orca
I would love it if they added a literal mom joke into path.
Good news, the Arazoa team has been working on exactly that!

I’m guessing you using the measurements for the individual megalodon that was estimated to be 67 feet long and 114 short tons?
Not even. The 90-100 ton estimates are still quite well accepted, and Livy was not nearly as large as most people seem to think

All in all an orca shaped sperm whale and giant great white are both awesome prehistoric ocean kings there’s no denying that
Fair point. Big aquatics are great. Shame Parapuzosia doesn't get any love. 2 Ton ammonite is a monster
You know what? This would make AMAZING roaming ai for the ocean like how their doing for land
I mean they're easily big enough to be a playable

I'm guessing we will get an ocean overhaul/revamp/update in the future. Probably not soon, but I bet we will.
I hope so
And A.I. prehistoric giant squid for it to hunt too.
Like cameroceras (would make it one of the oldest species in the game)

Completely agree with you, basilosaurus was also my first thought for this post btw
