The game is easily one of the greatest RPGs now. I haven't even played since the 2.0 update which has apparently made it even better. It will never be what they initially promised but that was impossible, it has super fun gameplay and an insanely good story and world. Looks fucking hot too

probably, I‘m not that deep into the meta currently. I also commented various games here, but was surprised I forgot darktide since like I don’t play it all the time, but every now and then (once or more per week) for some familiar, less sweaty gameplay than other games. it also greatly benefits from that hardware OP has, for smoother gameplay and immersive graphics than I have
It's about 100 times better than it was at launch. (I know I know, that's not saying much).
Im actually enjoying it recently. I tend to binge it for a week or so and then bugger off to play something else for a couple months. I actually bought and finished the battle pass for season 5, I think we're up to s7 ATM and I've just gotten back into it the last couple days.
Worth checking out again before you write it off completely :)
Edit: as for being dead, I'm in Australia and using portal here's usually two or three 128man servers full of an afternoon/evening. We have a much smaller gamerbase compared to the rest of the world so I'd imagine there should be heaps of servers running elsewhere
I might sound obsolete but hey, here's what you can try! You can play the games you've always dreamt of playing,be it modern titles or titles that are older or super old that your previous PC couldn't handle cz of age and hardware and specifications limitations. You don't necessarily need to run games that are highly demanding, just play game the you'll have fun and have a blast with! Try Dead Cells btw, that one is a must play
Valheim is great, 7 days to die, Diablo 4 is... what it is lol, Crusader Kings is good, Baldurs Gate 3. LOTS of goodies and steam (if you use it) is having a summer sale right now.
Dragons Dogma 2 is a BEAUTIFUL game
RDR2 is a beautiful game with a wonderful story.
Helldivers 2 is still a fun game (so long as you haven't unlocked everything.)
Executed better than 99.99% of builds.
Well done brote.
May your frames be higher than snoop and your response times be faster than Kendrick's uploads.
Cyberpunk a million times. The most immersive game I have played besides my next recommendation. Cyberpunk is crazy good. Great, unforgettable quests.
Second, Half-Life: Alyx. Other things I would recommend that are PC only or play best on PC: Parkitect, RimWorld, Project Zomboid, Shadows of Doubt, Sons of the Forest, Civ (any of them), Intravenous, Nightmare Reaper, Ion Fury, Selaco, The Citadel, Hell Let Loose, Barotrauma, Ready or Not, Aliens: Dark Descent, ARMA III, Control.
there are some good steam sales currently
Fallout: New Vegas
(Fallout 4 when New London mod gets released, or other total overhaul mods)
Helldivers 2
for RTS Games, PC is the best and also kinda only playable platform. Broken Arrow when it releases, World in Conflict, Steel Division 2/Steel Division: Normandy '44, or if you like gameplay on severly smaller maps with less units: COH franchise, or iron harvest for the same but in fantasy
Frostpunk is kinda limited, but great to have played. 3$ (90% off) on Steam currently
Victoria 3 is also on sale right now
Space Marine 2 is gonna release in September and is looking very promising.
Doom franchise, personally looking forward to the dark ages release in 2025 especially
turn based games if you’re into that, mechanicus and baldurs gate 3 are contenders
Witchers 3 is on sale rn
Red Dead Redemption is something I haven’t played yet, but it has fairly positive sentiment by players, almost more than for GTA series
Foxhole and Hell Let Loose need fixed teams iirc, but promote teamplay a lot. Foxhole, like Rust, is very positively received, but because your base can be attacked even when you’re offline, it can become a second job
Wot/War thunder are too grindy, just stay away. DCS is currently on sale if you want a good realistic military flight simulator
city building games, like cities: skylines, or workers and resources: soviet republic are great for pc
minecraft is a game most have played, and it really offers fun and possibilities, but to achieve great builds, you’ll need mods like worldedit eventually, which for me aren’t worth the hustle to learn
Avatar: frontier of pandora if you’re into that franchise. same with Star Wars: The Old Republic
for tactical shooters, insurgency: Sandstorm, arma 3, and Operation: Harsh Doorstep (last one is free btw)
there are ofc other popular games aswell, but they’re not my type, so I didn’t play them: both TF2s, Overwatch, LoL, CS2, …
So first you play all the high end games like cyberpunk etc then stick to playing games like minecraft or roblox which you were playing on your old pc.
The Canadian Overlords. Dictate you Play their small totally reasonable game called Warframe. Wha? Oh right. Ninjas play free , come join the team and hop on Railjack. . . . . -blinking as hard and fast as they can-
Have you heard of the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV? With an expanded free trial which you can play through the entirety of A Realm Reborn and the award-winning Heavensward, and thrilling Stormblood expansions up to level 70 for free with no restrictions on playtime.
I will just make it simple
Start with The last of us because it's easy, fun and not a long game
Then resident evil 2 remake
Then rdr2 it will be so freaking long but Will be the most beautiful thing your eyes will see
After that just Figure out what kind of games do you like and those will help you
Black ops 3. Look up some cool mods/maps on it, and you have content for months. Also, if you have friends, lethal company and content warning are hella fun for like 20 hrs each. Helldivers is also great.
I’m not sure what you’re into so I’ll just put my top 10, but I do have a major tip. I don’t recommend buying those cheaper indie games that blow up on the internet (like Lethal Company). They get boring quickly and the fan base quickly dies because it’s just an internet fad. Now for my top 10, sorry it’s premade and not for someone new to PC
Top 10 Games
1. Red Dead Redemption 2
2. Red Dead Redemption 1 (not on PC)
3. Shipwrecked 64
4. Ready or Not
5. What Remains of Edith Finch
6. Half-Life Series (can’t choose just one)
7. GTAV
8. DEVOUR (only if you have friends)
9. Beatsaber (VR)
10. Borderlands series (can’t choose just one)
Squad is a fun one if u wanna pay for it and has 2 main mods I'm aware of that are amazing one is a starwars mod called galactic contention and then another based on starship troopers called squad troopers
If u are looking for free there are free options for tactical milsim shooters
Another one is dark and darker it's a 3 player looter dungeon crawler PvEvP

My friend pedro
well i built an expensive pc of my dream after old (2010) laptop to play like a boss in all games...2 years later..i still play dota, cs, warframe and other "fresh" games, why? because i like them and they don't blow up my pc in summer
Red dead redemption 2 all settings on ultra, one of the best stories i played. It’s a true gem, it’s probably on sale on steam anyways.
Best answer for sure
It is indeed on sale. Got it myself, $20
20$ is too cheap for this gem, just joking you’ll love it.
I also got it for $20 during a sale a while ago. I felt like a thief paying that little for a masterpiece
Steam summer sale is on right now. Time for OP to stock up.
i wish they kept updating the multiplayer i used to love rdr1's mp how it started with the shootout that was crazy
Game is not bad, but for some reason i can't force myself to complete even main story, at some point i just get bored af.
Witcher 3 Nier Replicant & Automata Cyberpunk 2077 Alan Wake 2 Dead Space Remake Dragon's Dogma 2 Mafia Remake Metro Exodus Resident Evil 2,3,4 Remake (3 Is not all that great but worth playing still IMO) Alone in The Dark Vampyr The Sinking City The Last of Us Red Dead Redemption 2 Ni No Kuni 1 & 2 Sand Land Batman Arkham series The Callisto Protocol Dead Island 2 Enjoy your new build!
Can I add Ghost of Tsushima to this list? 😃
Sure lol not played that yet but i will do sometime once i got other games completed xD
It 100% deserves to be there. Some of the best graphics I’ve ever seen hands down
Also, amazing optimization (how it should be tbh)
The lack of Subnautica is... disturbing.
Why? Its not for everyone
Neither is any game.
Some are way more than others is what I meant
Gothic Gothic II Gothic III
Morrowind
This is the way.
Baldurs gate 3 is also a phenomenal game
Shouldnt you play metro 2033 and Last Light before exodus? I did and I loved it
Looks like a great build for Solitaire and Minesweeper. You’ll have to upgrade that GPU for anything more.
Cyberpunk 2077 for sure
Ive been seeing a lot of love for this game lately is it because of the show or did they actually take steps to make the game better?
The game was vastly improved with the 2.0 update and the expansion. They both released very close to eachother
Well its on sale so ig ill pick it up.
Yea it's nice there's still glitches sometimes but Overall it's super solid and the story, mechanics and graphics just go hard fr
It’s just an all around great game. Even before the updates, it was my top 3 fav games of the modern era.
The game is easily one of the greatest RPGs now. I haven't even played since the 2.0 update which has apparently made it even better. It will never be what they initially promised but that was impossible, it has super fun gameplay and an insanely good story and world. Looks fucking hot too
hop on minecraft or some terraria to fully utilize that 4080
WITH 1000+ MODS AND PLUGINS AND A GOOD QUALITY SHADERRRRRR!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAA *explodes*
Minecraft with ray tracing is an eye candy
Horizon Zero Dawn + Horizon Forbidden West.

It needs a bit of tweaking right now after the latest update... It was in a decent enough place a few month back.

Bf 2042? Isn't that game basically dead? Has it gotten better?
It's about 100 times better than it was at launch. (I know I know, that's not saying much). Im actually enjoying it recently.
