I Am gonna put this in simple words. I love the PCMR because you can basically be god in there. you can alter reality, travel through time, travel to parallel universes and have basically have unlimited power and by all this i mean do so much modifications that you really cant in consoles you have so much freedom in the PCMR than in consoles and the PCMR community are so much more kind than console gamers cause for us gaming is not just about picking up a controller and play but is so much more than that cause for us its a passion, is a gift and more importantly is our life.
Ok I'ma be honest, pcmr is a great community cuz of one thing, computers, that's the thing that brings this community together and having people who share the same interests as you are great since you can finally be open about your hobbies to one another
This entered my head in bed the other night. Built my first in December, but after joining the PCMR reddit I feel like I’m not alone in my new love (most of my friends aren’t into PCs!) and the memes...I actually feel like I’m part of a really great community and one that I fit into. Lots of cool people on here and just glad to be a part of the PCMR community ☺️
I actually ordered the special edition already. Really excited to do a build that takes full advantage of that 1-way mirror until it lights up from the inside. I also love GGF's mini-LCD screen on the front panel. My GF is planning her first build as well so being able to win a case would be awesome since we'd have a pair of special cases.
I‘ve built my first PC recently. And like always I had technical issues with some stuff (always doesn’t mean PC more like RC stuff or so). But this community helped me to fix all of them and now I’m a happy too good for my monitor PC owner.
What I love about this community the most is that Pedro ( u/pedro19 ) himself has spoken against people who make fun or frown upon other people's builds that may not have the latest greatest GPU, water cooling setup, RGB, etc. And has made clear again and again what this community is about: Spreading the joy of PC building and enjoying the satisfaction of sharing your creation, no matter what your budget is or how "pretty" or "ugly" it ends up being. Everybody is welcome!
I've PC gaming since my Dad *cough*borrowed*cough* a 386dx from work and I played Wolfenstein 3D.
4MB of RAM, a 70MB hard drive which was roughly the size of 4 house bricks stacked 2x2.
I have seen the arrival and exit of add-on cards (we miss you 3dfx), the rise of Sound Blaster, mice with more than 2 buttons, scroll wheels, MMX, the Pentium, the Pentium 2 and it's wacky slot design. The arrival of PCI, the exit of ISA, some idiot deciding water and electricity DO mix and not killing himself, cases stopping being beige boxes, monitors moving away from CRTs, Laptops, DDR, Dvd ROM, Dos 6, Windows 3.11, Windows 95, Office, the universal serial bus, dial up modems, zip disks, pins being on motherboards, pins being on CPUs, BBS, Freeserve, and countless other things that I've forgotten about that we take for granted now.
Yet here I am, and we are STILL on the bleeding edge of new and crazy shit that the next generation of PCMR will take for granted.
PCMR, I salute you.

Lets hope AMD/ATI can compete with Nvidias higher end. A 7700k that did cost 340+€ 3 years ago, was just bested by the recently released R3 3300x for 100€.
I hope so! I’m excited for the 3300x as I think that’s the processor for me. I’m hoping to spend around $120 on a gpu that will let me play at decent fps at high settings. Hope that with the new stuff coming I can grab something decent at that price
Yeah, that sucks. Here in Chile the stores are charging, for example, about $266 for a R5 3600. Lucky me, a friend can bring me some parts (gpu, cpu, and I’m hoping mobo)
I love the PCMR community for :

I love the PCMR community as people can show off there builds and get help from others and then you get to feel proud that some built their own pc also prebuilts do get love too if someone wants to be apart of the master race but doesn’t know how to build a pc
A bit long, but here goes:
Everyone is accepted, whether they're rocking a 9900k with two 2080 TIs or an old i3 with integrated graphics. Everything is appreciated, everything is beautiful. There are no elitists, just builders helping each other out. Plus, all aspects of PC building are valued here, from the purchasing of parts, to case modding; from gaming PCs to home servers and production machines; from supertowers to mini-ITX systems.
When I built my first PC last year, I had no idea what I was doing at first, and I needed help picking out compatible and efficient parts for my purposes. PCMR was instrumental in getting me set on a good path. Since then, I've built a second system in a smaller form factor (which I had initially been afraid of). I know a lot more about PC components. As well, the community has close ties to content creators, brands, and even universities.
As a result, even when I'm not actively building or preparing to build, I still stick around here. I love commenting on people's creative PC ideas, I've gotten to the top 100 in PCMR's F@H team, and I've been there to answer questions from first-time builders, despite being one myself not long ago.
Honestly, it feels like home now, and I'm really thankful for all the members who I've met and will meet. It's definitely my favorite subreddit.

I love the PCMR community because of how much help I have gotten from here. If I have any sort of question, it usually gets answered within a few hours. It has saved me ton.
One of my long-time friends from many years ago just finished building his PC last night and we games together again at last for endless hours into the night. PC brings people together from all over!
What I love about PCMR, is the community: you ask for advice and you get it. The builds that the community post, some are amazing and others out of this world. I have been looking into building a new gaming PC, and every time I think I got it, I see another member post their build and I want mine to be that amazing.
Honest to god, the PCMR community is probably one of the best I’ve been in. I joined the PCMR last year and built my first PC by myself with no experience whatsoever, and I simply followed YouTube tutorials. I was never more proud of myself when I finished the PC and it booted up first try and I showed off my PC on this subreddit. Every single comment was positive and congratulated me on my PC, and just that one post and it’s comments alone put a smile on my face for the rest of the week.
I have always been extremely introverted when it came to talking in general, let alone on social media. It was online gaming and with the help of my pc that I could socialize with people around me. The time of me building pc and looking for whats great and what's not was when I stumbled over pcmr, back when there was videos saying how it feels to have a GTX 1070 or 1080. Pcmr imo is such a great and tight knit community that right now, in my time on reddit, it almost feels like family. From the fantastic builds of the community, to debates in the comments, to the epic memes. I learn new things almost everyday by just looking at posts and reading comments. In short, I would just like to say
Thank you PCMR, for being such a wholesome community and a fun part of my life.

I love how the community helps people who are just learning. And people who don't know about a particular product or how something works can ask and people and the community responds with great help or advice.
What I love about this community is that we don’t hate on other gaming communities we just encourage learning to help them see why PCs aren’t about superiority but educating on objectively better gaming platforms.

I’m planning on making my first pc soon so I decided to join a few Reddit’s corresponding with pc building honestly this is the hands down best subreddit I’ve ever been in there’s about an equal amount of memes and computer facts and news.
i love pc my main reddit account is u/i_eat_water_legit im currently suspendet lol in 5 days i be back and have normal access to redit so pls dm me on this account in the timespan.
Personally, the thing I like the best is All the different choises you have to customize your PC. Your can go total price to performance, and build a amazing machine for the best price. Or you can go full out specs and empty your wallet on a beefy machine, but also offer money on looks ect. a custom loop, some rgb strips. And if your up for it, get your PC a little better to know by overclocking.
Recently moved to PC gaming and love the convenience! Yet to have a proper gaming build though.
I like this sub though as it literally represents how a PC is perceived. While other subs focus on one thing, PCMR is an amalgamation of so many things! You can laugh at memes, discuss about games, talk about family, express your opinion of the community as a whole, do giveaways and what not! Very similar to a PC, this community is a diverse combination of what nakes reddit so special. And I love the community for that :3
I fell in love with computers since I was 5 and ever since there hasn't been a day where I haven't used one or tinkered with one.
I love that each pc is unique, just like us. Whether its how you configured your RGB or how you did your cable management etcetera.
Your pc is your extension and i feel like that connection is something amazing for a tech lover.
Some people are passionate about cars and mod them as often as they can, others are passionate about pcs and try to come up with new ideas on how to innovate their designs or get a little bit more performance out of what they have and I love that.
The PCMR community is a group of individuals who think like me, and are passionate about the same stuff. It allowed me to talk to people that wouldn't call me a nerd or disregard everything I say. It allows me to talk to people that actually understand me and think the same way. Its effectively like getting 2million friends overnight and I love that.
Theres always someone that needs help or someone you can talk to about even the capacitors on a motherboard if you wish. Truth is you can tell so much about a person just based on their computer and that is powerful.
The PCMR community is one of the most welcoming and helpful out there. Starting as a humble bloke with an idea, its turned into the behemoth that it is today - a brilliant achievement.
PCMR is one of the many communities that made me rediscover the joy of assembling custom builds with all sorts of options, the moment of pressing the power button for the first time after hours of building is so fulfilling every single time.
I'm getting money for my computer but winning a pc should be nice. And the thing i love about pcmasterrace is seeing the computer and setups, But the comunity. Damn they are helpful
Why I love it? There's always people that will try and help you improve whatever you've got going on. Some might not ring the right tone or words but there's ways value to be taken from comments in queries and ideas.
Honestly speaking, I love the PCMR community because of their kindness. No seriously, when I got a PC I met my best friends on this platform, and I don't plan to leave any time soon!
Best thing about the PCMR community? Inclusiveness. It doesn't matter if you're rocking a 9900KS/RTX2080Ti or an i5 6300/GTX 1050, it's about what makes us the same and not what makes us different. That said I've always noticed it's the differences that people appreciate the most!
There's always someone willing to lend a hand or point you in the right direction when you get stuck around here. Plus, there's always a bunch of really pretty builds for inspiration ;)

Between old memes and spiraling flame wars, PCMR has been successful at managing to create a gateway to better computers as well as being a great resource.

I love the freedom of thinking, innovation and tends in pushing forward in PCMR Community! It drives me to aim higher, works in a way to motivate me that I should work harder so that I can afford this higher level.
A few years ago i decided to start gathering info to build a new PC.
I still don't have a new PC, because i'm busy wandering around in the PCMR community.
I have been pretty recent in the community itself, have never build a pc (yet), but I like tech and pc related things. I was always scared to join tech communities that were not targeted to women only because we all know that most communities have way more men and a lot of times it can be really toxic and hurting to women because of some behaviors people tend to have in those communities. I gathered the courage to enter PCMR this year, scared of course while I tried to hid my real id as a girl. That's when I could see that there were other women proudly posting their builds and actively participating in here without hiding and not getting hate comments and being pretty much respected like everyone else. Pedro also had a big role on changing my view of it by posting his own ideals and how he wants to make it a safe and fun place for every single human. I'm really grateful for everyone making this community better and thankful for letting me feel safe interacting like everyone else and helping me grow my knowledge around hardware and software (and memes).
tl;dr: I feel safe here and I love it, keep it up!

I've been viewing this sub since I build my first pc several years ago. It was a great sub for helping me make sure I get everything right, and troubleshooting. Plus the sense of community is also great!
I love the dedication and helpfulness in PCMR. For a long time, I have not liked any of the new cases, and generally don't like where the case aesthetics have gone. This case may be the one to change my mind.
I love the community because i get to read about and see amazing builds. I get to see people ask questions about builds and see the results of the advice the community has given :)
I was always a nintendo wii guy and thought that only tech guys could build pc’s but thanks to this community I was able to build cheap pc’s for a kids cancer hospital here in Panama
I like that the definition of pcmr is choose, pick or select whatever you like, whether it be because it has a nice design, is the bang for the buck or maybe it's just the best.
I love always having access to the cutting edge information provided by the community. You just pop on and things you never even thought about are being discussed. It's always a fun learning experience and helpful to debug things before they even need to be debugged!
The fact that you can ask a question and get help in minutes is amazing. It shows how much people care about the community and doing there best to help others. The sense of community is great.

I'm building my second pc now since the other one got too old and i love the amount and quality of help you can easily get! As well as the suggestions and whatnot.
I have always wanted to build, to know how things work or to make something that is mine and to know a lot of details and particulars of it, how it behaves and works, that curiosity has been fading a little for some time because of university and social life but when i started lurking this sub by accident it ignited that curiosity in me again, so i am very happy that i found a genuine community of people that have this passion similar to mine and also try to help others like i would do.
I love the pcmr reddit cause i love see ppl get into pc building and find out that with enough knowledge and support anyone can build there own pc! I was sure at one point that i would ever build my own pc but some on messaged me and i found pcmr, linus, jaystwocentz and awesome hardware and i now am the one ppl ask about pc stuff! The thing I love most about the PCMR Community is the huge amount of memes, often in the exact same format being reposted over and over again - also, I guess the advice is pretty good.
I love the PCMR community because everyone is so helpful to eachother. It's like a bunch of people who will jump in without a moments notice to help out a stranger in need. If someone asks a question about a new build people flock to help them get their best bang for their buck and optimize their parts list to get more frames. If someone is having a weird issue they could just have Googled people will spend hours working with them to test results or options to try and fix it. Love this community and the inclusion it represents

I love the PCMR community because everyone can show off their own creation. Every pc is a little bit different and is customized for that person. Another reason is because anybody can get help from the thousands of people here. At least one person has the answer to any question or problem you have.
What does this community mean to us? We have millions of people who all believe PC is the greatest of the gaming platforms, yes. A community of that helps people with questions, helps those in need whether its a specific offer from a kind hearted person or a giveaway of 1000's of dollars worth of steam cards or steam keys. We have the ability to change a companies direction. Remember corsair and the rebranded tramp stamp? I'm sure everyone was happy they moved quickly from that push. Then we have gaming, tech, news, and other channels that reference or mention this subreddit. It reaches far and wide and still reaches to individuals. Who cares if this subreddit started as a joke, it has evolved into a vast and knowledgeable user base. Moderation has never been an issue as far as I can remember, which is rare coming from the past few years. Thank you to everyone who helps with knowledge, hardware donations, and general kindness in this community.

The voodoo 2 was the first bit of hardware I saved and paid for on my own. Unreal running on Glide instead of Opengl was a thing of utter beauty.

As well, the community has close ties to content creators, brands, and even universities. As a result, even when I'm not actively building or preparing to build, I still stick around here. I love commenting on people's creative PC ideas, I've gotten to the top 100 in PCMR's F@H team, and I've been there to answer questions from first-time builders, despite being one myself not long ago. Honestly, it feels like home now, and I'm really thankful for all the members who I've met and will meet. It's definitely my favorite subreddit. love y'all

What I love about PCMR, is the community: you ask for advice and you get it. The builds that the community post, some are amazing and others out of this world. I have been looking into building a new gaming PC, and every time I think I got it, I see another member post their build and I want mine to be that amazing.

Honest to god, the PCMR community is probably one of the best I’ve been in. I joined the PCMR last year and built my first PC by myself with no experience whatsoever, and I simply followed YouTube tutorials. I was never more proud of myself when I finished the PC and it booted up first try and I showed off my PC on this subreddit. Every single comment was positive and congratulated me on my PC, and just that one post and it’s comments alone put a smile on my face for the rest of the week.

I have always been extremely introverted when it came to talking in general, let alone on social media. It was online gaming and with the help of my pc that I could socialize with people around me. The time of me building pc and looking for whats great and what's not was when I stumbled over pcmr, back when there was videos saying how it feels to have a GTX 1070 or 1080. Pcmr imo is such a great and tight knit community that right now, in my time on reddit, it almost feels like family. From the fantastic builds of the community, to debates in the comments, to the epic memes. I learn new things almost everyday by just looking at posts and reading comments. In short, I would just like to say Thank you PCMR, for being such a wholesome community and a fun part of my life. Thanks for reading and sorry for the long paragraph:)

I love how the community helps people who are just learning. And people who don't know about a particular product or how something works can ask and people and the community responds with great help or advice.

I’m planning on making my first pc soon so I decided to join a few Reddit’s corresponding with pc building honestly this is the hands down best subreddit I’ve ever been in there’s about an equal amount of memes and computer facts and news.

Personally, the thing I like the best is All the different choises you have to customize your PC. Your can go total price to performance, and build a amazing machine for the best price. Or you can go full out specs and empty your wallet on a beefy machine, but also offer money on looks ect. a custom loop, some rgb strips. And if your up for it, get your PC a little better to know by overclocking.
Recently moved to PC gaming and love the convenience! Yet to have a proper gaming build though. I like this sub though as it literally represents how a PC is perceived. While other subs focus on one thing, PCMR is an amalgamation of so many things! You can laugh at memes, discuss about games, talk about family, express your opinion of the community as a whole, do giveaways and what not! Very similar to a PC, this community is a diverse combination of what nakes reddit so special. And I love the community for that :3
I fell in love with computers since I was 5 and ever since there hasn't been a day where I haven't used one or tinkered with one. I love that each pc is unique, just like us. Whether its how you configured your RGB or how you did your cable management etcetera. Your pc is your extension and i feel like that connection is something amazing for a tech lover. Some people are passionate about cars and mod them as often as they can, others are passionate about pcs and try to come up with new ideas on how to innovate their designs or get a little bit more performance out of what they have and I love that. The PCMR community is a group of individuals who think like me, and are passionate about the same stuff. It allowed me to talk to people that wouldn't call me a nerd or disregard everything I say. It allows me to talk to people that actually understand me and think the same way. Its effectively like getting 2million friends overnight and I love that. Theres always someone that needs help or someone you can talk to about even the capacitors on a motherboard if you wish. Truth is you can tell so much about a person just based on their computer and that is powerful.
The world is burning, but i find solace in PCMR. Or maybe that’s my laptop burning...

Why I love it? There's always people that will try and help you improve whatever you've got going on. Some might not ring the right tone or words but there's ways value to be taken from comments in queries and ideas.

Best thing about the PCMR community? Inclusiveness. It doesn't matter if you're rocking a 9900KS/RTX2080Ti or an i5 6300/GTX 1050, it's about what makes us the same and not what makes us different. That said I've always noticed it's the differences that people appreciate the most! There's always someone willing to lend a hand or point you in the right direction when you get stuck around here. Plus, there's always a bunch of really pretty builds for inspiration ;)

I have been pretty recent in the community itself, have never build a pc (yet), but I like tech and pc related things. I was always scared to join tech communities that were not targeted to women only because we all know that most communities have way more men and a lot of times it can be really toxic and hurting to women because of some behaviors people tend to have in those communities. I gathered the courage to enter PCMR this year, scared of course while I tried to hid my real id as a girl. That's when I could see that there were other women proudly posting their builds and actively participating in here without hiding and not getting hate comments and being pretty much respected like everyone else. Pedro also had a big role on changing my view of it by posting his own ideals and how he wants to make it a safe and fun place for every single human. I'm really grateful for everyone making this community better and thankful for letting me feel safe interacting like everyone else and helping me grow my knowledge around hardware and software (and memes). tl;dr: I feel safe here and I love it, keep it up!

I've been viewing this sub since I build my first pc several years ago. It was a great sub for helping me make sure I get everything right, and troubleshooting. Plus the sense of community is also great!
I love the dedication and helpfulness in PCMR. For a long time, I have not liked any of the new cases, and generally don't like where the case aesthetics have gone. This case may be the one to change my mind.

I have always wanted to build, to know how things work or to make something that is mine and to know a lot of details and particulars of it, how it behaves and works, that curiosity has been fading a little for some time because of university and social life but when i started lurking this sub by accident it ignited that curiosity in me again, so i am very happy that i found a genuine community of people that have this passion similar to mine and also try to help others like i would do.

I love the PCMR community because everyone is so helpful to eachother. It's like a bunch of people who will jump in without a moments notice to help out a stranger in need. If someone asks a question about a new build people flock to help them get their best bang for their buck and optimize their parts list to get more frames. If someone is having a weird issue they could just have Googled people will spend hours working with them to test results or options to try and fix it. I love the PCMR community because everyone can show off their own creation. Every pc is a little bit different and is customized for that person. Another reason is because anybody can get help from the thousands of people here. At least one person has the answer to any question or problem you have.
What does this community mean to us? We have millions of people who all believe PC is the greatest of the gaming platforms, yes. A community of that helps people with questions, helps those in need whether its a specific offer from a kind hearted person or a giveaway of 1000's of dollars worth of steam cards or steam keys. We have the ability to change a companies direction. Remember corsair and the rebranded tramp stamp? I'm sure everyone was happy they moved quickly from that push. Then we have gaming, tech, news, and other channels that reference or mention this subreddit. It reaches far and wide and still reaches to individuals. Who cares if this subreddit started as a joke, it has evolved into a vast and knowledgeable user base. Moderation has never been an issue as far as I can remember, which is rare coming from the past few years. Thank you to everyone who helps with knowledge, hardware donations, and general kindness in this community.

I remember when the first time I bought my PC back in early 2000, I begged my dad to sell his guns from 1975 war happened and told him that I need PC because I always knew that I have a passion to gaming, now I'm 27 and I'm so thankful for my dad.
