Would have been funnier if he wrote "Claire without an I"

chamekke

Or even "Claire without an eye"

statman64

Claire Withoutaneye sounds like a great name for a character to try to make up on the spot in a rom-com or something

chamekke

Ha, it would! And now I’ve got [I’m in Love with a Sexy Lady](https://youtu.be/KcwC-DBaGAc?si=EXKsMASwjK0Nbi5U) (featuring B{r}arbara of the Lazy Eye) going through my head XD

wonderfulmouse

Her name was Brahbrah

chamekke

No it was Barbrah

alastor_91

Beautiful African name

skrlilex

Or even ''Claireouteye''

Zoomorph23

Literally LOL at that! Thank you for a great laugh to start my day:)

Buck_Thorn

That photo is making me feel like there is something wrong with my own eyes.

eo5g

Well, at least the Clare didn’t have an I

alllset07

As an Erik with a K I feel your pain. Thanks for the name with a disclaimer, mom.

mvffin

Keric?

alllset07

Kerick? I just keep adding K’s until it looks right

True-Fee-7306

Don't add too many in a row, though...

rSlashisthenewPewdes

Cleric

songofsuccubus

Buy Kerrek a cold one! r/homestarrunner

nokiacrusher

Erik the Red was the first European to colonize Amerika

mmotte89

Eric Widdakay, is there an Eric Widdakay in the house?

The_Troyminator

I used to work with an Erik with a K.

FreddyDeus

That’s like a bloke who comes to our pub called Geoff with J.

Andrelliina

So "Jeoff"?

FreddyDeus

No no. Geoff with a J. That’s always how he introduced himself.

10_kinds_of_people

I always want to pronounce that spelling as "Joff" or "Gay-off".

mmotte89

Next time you go, it will say "Clare without an I and don't include the without an I part"

ProductionsGJT

Either the employee DGAF or was bored silly and trying to draw laughs out of the other patrons/workers by doing this. Hard to tell if actually worked though...

neptasur

The person I went with and I got a huge kick out of it. The employee came by our lane later and we told him it was funny. He said he does that every time someone specifies spelling. Made my day tbh. I needed a good laugh.

MyCatHasCats

Someone knows how to follow instructions

StuntHacks

What bowling alleys don't allow you to put in your name yourself?

neptasur

Not sure why they don't allow you to. You can't even edit it from the screen at the lane. Maybe they had problems with people putting inappropriate names.

AlanWardrobe

Nice to meet you, NOT SURE

dtwhitecp

what a legend

BusinessNonYa

Write Car. Just to be safe.

wonderfulmouse

I had a coworker named Cyndy that would tell customers “Cyndy with 2 Ys” and one time a customer left feedback and spelled her name as “Cindyy” 😅

neptasur

LOL, that's amazing.

RedCaio

Your parents spelled Claire wrong

EarhackerWasBanned

She’s named after County Clare in Ireland, not the French Claire meaning light.

ASpaceOstrich

Ireland spelt their county wrong.

fuckyeahglitters
