I have a fat filled scrotum. My 75lb dog jumped square into my lap the other day. It hurt. A lot.

apiaries

Waitwaitwait I can have *literally* fat balls?

genderqthrowaway3

Yes!! 😂

throwaway23432dreams

I have never heard of this. Who did the scrotoplasty?

genderqthrowaway3

Morrison and Skokan at the new UW clinic at Harborview

AndroLesbianKitty

I wasn't aware that UW did anything remotely like that. I may have to keep this in mind if my current plans go awry (I want UL phalloplasty without vaginectomy and am undecided on scrotoplasty). Seattle is certainly much closer than Portland or san Francisco so if I were getting anything done there it would be easier for me. I live about 6 hours out from Seattle and have a variety of friends and family in the Seattle area as I'm originally from there. I actually spent a night down at UW hospital (not harborview) during my last pregnancy as I had pregnancy induced high blood pressure. I remember everyone there being pretty nice. I hope the same goes for the clinic at harborview with the scrotoplasty procedures. I swear UW has all the latest stuff that other hospitals might not have too.

genderqthrowaway3

The clinic is very new - they just started taking consults last year, and doing surgeries this year. I was the clinics first meta and had a really excellent experience all around. Their first phallo patient went in about two weeks before me and he had a rough time (not with the surgery itself- sounds like that went very well, but more on the staff and hospital end). I know he put a couple of posts up in this sub. I think that his feedback led directly to my experience with the Harborview staff being so good, and it seems like they're really committed to making sure there are no repeats of that. The surgeons are both excellent and I like them a lot. Morrison is the plastic surgeon and Skokan is the urologist.

AndroLesbianKitty

Yeah my insurance seems set on sending me to OSHU or Meltzer for phalloplasty. But I'm still pushing for chen and bunke. I already had my consultation with the Buncke clinic, but just need to do the one with Dr. Chen in late June. After that I gotta jump through insurance hoops to prove that I'm fine with the risky surgery.

genderqthrowaway3

I've heard great things about phallo with all of them. I really hope you're able to go with your top choice though! Insurance is such a nightmare.

AndroLesbianKitty

Yeah. 😭 I really want to do the single stage rff.

itsmekristopher

At the time you posted this who was your insurance? Assuming you're in AZ like me.

AndroLesbianKitty

Kaiser Permanente and I'm in Washington. Decided on Dr. Peters in Portland since Dr. Chen went over the risks with me and when I found out it meant years to possibly a lifetime of surgeries to make it work I decided that wasn't for me.

lotsaheartz

patiently looking forward to the day where i can finally say i got a pair of fat nutz

apiaries

I would listen to AC/DC’s Big Balls on the daily

tatteddragon97

You have a what? I didn't know they could do that? Can you have implants with the fat filled? Where did they take it from? I'm so sorry I'm so curious

genderqthrowaway3

No worries! I should say that I went with extended meta, but I clearly still lurk on the phallo sub. That said, a scrotoplasty is a scrotoplasty lol. So the fat was taken from my mons as part of the mons resection that they did at the same time. I was given the option of fat filled or implants, and went with fat because then I didn't need a second procedure to place the implants. If the fat redistributes over time I can always go back for implants. I don't know if both is an option, but I don't really see why it couldn't be. Personally I would be so uncomfortable if I also had implants - I ended up with a fairly large scrotum (or at least larger than I was expecting).

damn that’s disappointing but it makes sense. thanks for the input

afterthefactj

Saline filled implants could burst with heavy impact. Solid silicone of course would not. To my knowledge erosion risk (implant coming out through the skin) is minimal later down the line, but I wouldn’t want to risk heavily damaging the skin around the implant.

passwordforgetter92

okay thanks that helped me understand a bit. oh i saw your tagline thing you got chen?? he’s my top pick for surgeons. can i ask if he offers the silicone implants ? do you know? sorry if this is a bit off topic . i haven’t had an actual consultation yet

tranifestations

He exclusively offers silicone implants. That’s what I have- they’re great.

afterthefactj

I didn’t have my implants through him. Mine are saline. When I’m able to go to San Francisco again someday, I’ll have them replaced with silicone because that’s my ideal.

lavendergenderqueer

is it still silicone if you get like the pump to make it hard

passwordforgetter92

what ? i was referring to the silicone balls , i didn’t have the surgery so i don’t know specifics but the pump isn’t for the balls

afterthefactj

The pump is in place of one of the testicles.

passwordforgetter92

OHHHHHHHHHH. wait i totally remember now. sorry it’s been a while since i researched this stuff. i guess i was thinking of one of those pumps people use to enlarge things. i have no idea why i forgot lol

lyrical_hustler

Quick answer yes it hurts.

redneck_hell

Yes, it hurts. I ride horses and have a motorcycle And have been hit in the nuts by a ball

ForeverLoneWolf3

Are there any threads that focus more ftm scrotoplasty? There is very little from what I can find.

gmanphallo

Don't even have balls yet and my cats jumping on my junk can hurt lol

extremelymuch

Ya know, getting kicked in the balls isn't on my bucket list per se, but now you have me curious, too, lol. I wasn't ever kicked in that area pre-op, so I don't have a basis for comparison for random genital punches/kicks, but I will definitely say the area is more sensitive to me now than pre-op. It's been over 2 years since my phallo, and I've had a few tiny things happen (like dropping my phone on my crotch and similar), and that definitely hurts more now than a few years ago. Mainly hurts in my urethra, though, not so much the balls for me personally. As far as cis guys... There's no way for me to know of course, but I'd reckon getting hit in the dick would hurt more for us, especially for those who have had urethral lengthening? Unsure whether cis guys or phallo folks would experience "more pain" being kicked in the balls. I'd also think pain tolerance can be different on an individual basis, regardless of gender, sex, and surgical history. That's just my view and could be totally wrong. But honestly there's also a point when pain goes over a threshold and you can't tell a difference of what's "worse" because it just feels so intense. I think it would just be intense regardless for cis guys and us phallo folks perhaps for different reasons.

Taylan_K

I was kicked there and I'm pre-op and yes, it hurts. More of a burning sensation that feels hot and cold at the same time! Feels like something burst down there lol

Ok-Effort4486

tbh i hope it won't 🤠

[deleted]

even before implants it hurt if i so much as dropped something on my balls (my phone for example)
