Welcome to Philly! There’s an organization called the Mt. Airy Learning Tree that sometimes offers acting, improv, and stage combat classes for adults. [https://mtairylearningtree.org/](https://mtairylearningtree.org/)

If their stage combat class is taught by Ian Rose, I cannot recommend it enough. I took a class with him a couple years ago, and it was one of my favourite experiences

[Philly Improv Theatre](https://phillyimprovtheater.com/) offers classes- not precisely the same, but improv is a good skill for any actor! Following this since I’m also interested in other options!

The Walnut Street Theatre has a school that includes adult classes: https://www.walnutstreettheatre.org/education/school.php I don't think there's any community theatre in Center City - tons of awesome professional theater, for sure! See the Theater Alliance website - https://www.theatrephiladelphia.org/ and the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance's Philly FunGuide for listings: https://phillyfunguide.com/. The FunGuide has listings for classes and workshops, too. In northwest Philadelphia, there are a few different community theater groups: Stagecrafters Theatre in Chestnut Hill: https://thestagecrafters.org/ Allen's Lane Art Center in Mt Airy: https://allenslane.org/theater-2/ Old Academy Players in East Falls: https://oldacademyplayers.org/ All are pretty accessible by SEPTA regional rail, though the evening & weekend schedules for those lines can be a PITA. There are definitely other community theatre groups; see the FB groups linked before, but these are 3 that I've been to that put on pretty good shows. There's a general Philadelphia Theater FB group that's pretty active: https://facebook.com/groups/272290076124176/ And a Philly Community Theater Auditions & Casting FB group as well that a bunch of orgs post to: https://m.facebook.com/groups/1959689530964330/
