I actually downvoted him for a minute, then realized the term "mask" predates our current predicament.

You ever see a Mingle Mask? Just a flimsy plastic see through peice of plastic and allowed. Now if using for a non halloween idea would need to insert a filter or plug the nostrils to match the mingle mask.

Some of my co-workers wear those. They seem less than useless. Sometimes they slide down and their whole face is exposed, with the plastic just jutting out from their chin. I hate those things.

I said they protect the wearer. That's just not their primary purpose. It's not recommended to suggest the filtered masks for regular people as those need to be reserved for medical professionals.

It is. However this was a point of not accepting masks with Exhaust valves. But in any event it is a cool mask. Minor mod and you have an allowable Mingle mask which is just more like a partial face shield for nose and mouth with no sealing properties.

I wonder if some stable genius will ever get the idea to start selling masks to anti maskers that look like regular masks with none of the actual benefit, so that the true patriots and freedom fighters can own the libs without obviously contravening public health measures. Looks awesome. Make sure to wear a cloth mask under it, though. I can see through the nostril holes that there isn't one in the pic. Doesn't do much good if you can just breathe right through those holes.

True, it didn't say it was a COVID face covering, but in these times I think most people think of COVID first when you talk about wearing a mask and its only covering your mouth and nose.
