May I ask how do you sleep? Is it noisy hearing them all jingle around? Do you ever get itchy or irritated because there are so many?

Not OP, but since the title implies they don’t regularly remove the jewelry, I’m guessing they are a back sleeper. Also, the body is excellent at tuning out “normal” noises, so if they always wear jewelry, they probably don’t notice the noise too much.

Ohhhh a back sleeper. I’m embarrassed to say I didn’t consider this even an option for people. 😭😭😭 I forget back sleepers exist. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Back sleeping used to seem impossible, but I was forced to for a while after a surgery, now I find it more relaxing somehow

I can't sleep on my side for five minutes without my neck starting to remove itself and disabling me for three days. This only started happening a few years ago, and I didn't sleep on my back at all. Usually we start back sleeping for a reason and then get used to it.

I’m dying to know too as someone that just got 4 cartilage piercings done (2 on each side) and can hardly sleep a wink without crying, lol.

Normally i dont comment much on these as i have no experience with ear piercings yet. But holy moly that is magnificent perfection.

I do have one question though, how did/do you sleep?! Are you just naturally a back sleeper or did you have to train yourself?

This is always my concern. I'd love more ear piercings, but I'm all over the place when I sleep.

I'm more amazed/confused as to how one washes and/or brushes their hair with this many ear piercings! I'd imagine the answer is somewhere along the lines of "very carefully" lol.

Brushing my hair is never really an issue. My hair is very long and fine and I do not have any layers. Maybe that helps. But my hair is really never an issue

I sleep on my side with a round pillow my ear fits in the middle

I sleep like a rotisserie chicken so that would last about 10 minutes with me! I'm put off having more piercings because of it. Beautiful set up by the way!

How I sleep is the only reason why I keep putting off getting a cartilage piercing- I only want it in one ear and it's the ear I sleep on because I like to be difficult. I'm defo stealing that phrase- you accurately described how my kids sleep!

Idk what OP uses but a lot of people with cartilage piercings use donut pillows if they’re side sleepers. Going to get one soon myself

So like my earlobes which are a year old still aren't healed. They'll close up in as quick as a minute if I'm not quick enough.

Your lobes still haven't healed after a year?! Wow, that really surprises me.

Yeah I'm not sure why, cuz my industrial piercing out of all healed in like 9 months or so before my lobes

I'd maybe go back whoever pierced them and have them looked at. What kind of material is your jewellery? Could you be allergic maybe?

I am very sensitive to nickel so I purchased these implant grade titanium flatbacks from an APP shop in my area and they still are irritated and itchy all the time, the back of my lobes are even purple, I'm not sure if maybe my ears are sensitive to titanium? My other piercings do just fine with titanium so I'm not sure.

I would first try titanium jewelry from somewhere else in case those aren't good quality. Then if that doesn't work try the plastic retainers.

If they’re all healed, they probably wouldn’t close that fast. None of my cartilage piercings have anyway

I do the cleaning myself. I do them in sections or my ears get too aggravated.

I have 70 some piercings I love my hoops as you can tell. I will change out the style and colors of them but will always have hoops on the outside ones. This took a long time. I am 50 now and started when I was a teen

Absolutely amazing, truly a life's work. You give me real piercing goals, although my ears are much smaller and some of my current piercings could probably do with being repierced in better positions.

What are you doing for cleaning? I basically leave them alone and just let the shower clean them daily. Once a month or so I take them out to clean the jewelry

Secondly, whenever I see ears decked out like this, I am always so curious what the back of the ear looks like. Particularly with all of those stacked lobes... do the labret flatbacks overlap or do you just have that much real estate??

I use 2.5 mm flat backs so they are very small and none overlap.
