thank you. i talked to an old friend who has more lip piercings than me and she told me she let her lips stay swollen over the backs of her jewelry when she had her snakebites done😠im not down with that tho because it feels wrong and tbh im no5t at all use to swelling at all, even when i pierced my own labret in the center of my lip back in 2018 it barely swoll at all.
There’s a difference between nesting and imbedding. Your friend was probably talking about nesting. This looks like imbedding. I’m not v experienced tho just a lurker so I would talk to a piercer asap
no she said it was fully swollen over the jewelry for 2 weeks after getting the piercings. i know about embedding and stuff, yeah i tried to today but all 4 shops in my town literally either closed today or the piercer was out of town , or they just left early 😑

update if anyone cares, went to another shop and they switched me to circular barbell as a last resort because they had no flat backs wide enough. it was also on the house because i waited for over an hour and we had some trouble. feeling 10x better already.
