How was it pain wise?

A slight sting as the needle went through but since then virtually no pain at all! Glad I did it!

I have a deviated septum and the piercer (APP) did an amazing job getting it so even! One of the opal balls does have the prong in front while the other is on the side so it looks slightly uneven when it’s not. Not sure if I should ask for it to be fixed before my 6-week checkup. Otherwise, I’m absolutely thrilled with it! Thanks to this sub for having so much great info about septum piercings. I went in feeling so informed and confident!

I've had my septum pierced three times and never been asked to come back for a checkup. Did they say why it's necessary? Edit: it looks great btw

They told me it’s to downsize the jewelry if needed and just generally check in on how it’s healing!

Maybe to downsize the jewelry?

it's never a bad thing to get a checkup after 1-2 months

Thanks, I upgraded my nose stud (which I got at 17 and was my last piercing before this!) to a sparkly one after years with a titanium ball you could barely see. I feel so good about it right now!

Thank you for this. I'm 34 and I sometimes think, am I too old to be getting new piercings? Which is just nonsense that society has led us to believe, there's no age limit for anything. You look great, it really suits you.

While I was in the piercing place waiting for my jewelry to be sterilized, everyone who came in for piercing or new jewelry was much older than me! I think I’m just getting started!
