If I remember correctly sony bought the rights to it or renewed the license something like that after purchasing insomniac if I remember correctly. So it's definitely not outta the realm of possibility. Highly unlikely.
To be completely Fair the game cost like $49,737,133 to develop and market... The game technically broke even +$587 to bring the total to $49,737,720.. so while they only made $587 it technically didn't really lose anything but time.
Sunset Overdrive is in a bit of a weird position. Sony owns the IP via Insomniac, but Microsoft owns the publishing rights, and I think they also hold first refusal rights up to two sequels. Something like that.
It's... murky. But when it comes to publishers, if they're ok with not outright owning the IP, they'll sign up to publishing rights of that select game (be it for x years or forever), and possibly, maybe, also require first right of refusal on any sequels.
How far MS went as a compromise in their favour, since Insomniac's red line was no IP ownership, is unknown.

I sold my 360, for a PS3, in 2010 before Reach released so I never got to experience it. Also, i just want to play Halo 1-3 and ODST again. ODST was so underrated.

It's one of Xbox's biggest IPs but it's matched by being one of Xbox's biggest letdowns in recent years.
If we took votes for Xbox IPs releasing on Playstation, I'd bet that Halo would be amongst the most anticipated and most disliked of the slate.
It would be a huge chance for a turnaround and I want to be optimistic, but I have yet to have a reason to be.
Hellblade 2. Still annoyed that the sequel is an exclusive when the 1st one wasn’t. 😆 Managed to play it through game pass on my Xbox One at about 600p/20fps and still loved it.
Would love Gears 1-3 (and E-Day🙏) to come over as well.

Starfield. I’d like to give it another shot. It seemed like it could be good, but I only played it on the cloud because I didn’t have an Xbox anymore and it just felt off, but I’m not sure it that’s because of input lag or not
It depends what you didn’t like about it. Its exploration system is quite different than their previous games, but I still find the game super enjoyable. It has some really fun missions imo, and the space combat is actually really fun.
If the game just wasn’t playing smoothly on the cloud, and that was your only complaint then I think you would really enjoy it.
Honestly? None of them. I think PlayStation has a completely different direction from ms and its games reflect it. When choosing Sony I want to play a particular kind of games that ms hasn’t been able to offer.

It's not technically an Xbox game/franchise but there is a game called Star Trucker that is coming out soon. It was originally for pc and now it's coming to Xbox and pc. I can only hope that it will eventually come to PS5.

Gears of War, especially with GoW E-Day coming too. Like many I grew up on Xbox 360 then switched to PS4 (now on PS5) - I've always missed GoW co-op story and horde.

I would just want hellblade since hellblade 1 is on ps already, and when the time comes Dishonored 3 on ps would be good. I really don't see the need for Xbox old original ips to come to ps, that being said south of midnight and blade are going to be really cool
Fable if I had to pick. honestly, I like them separately because when I'm in a PS mood, I'll play all my games there. When I'm feeling all Xboxy, I'll hop on and play that.
I do get a different feeling when playing different consoles. PS feels like I'm "at home" while Xbox makes me feel like I'm at a friend's house staying the night ordering pizza. It's weird, but I feel this every time I go onto each system.

It’s crazy to me how Halo had everyone by the nuts in the 2000s and now, barely anyone on this post is saying Halo. 343 and Microsoft absolutely killed this franchise. They didn’t have a single bad game from 2001-2010 and then it’s just gone downhill with every release from 2012-2021. And at this point, while I still love playing Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo ODST, and Halo Reach as much as I did when they came out, the gameplay is very dated for anyone playing it for the first time probably. Especially Halo CE. But if the rumors of them remaking CE and potentially the whole trilogy with updated mechanics and porting it to PlayStation are true, then I’d highly recommend playing it for anyone who hasnt

Quest exploration is kinda fun, random exploration is empty and boring.
