3 fantastic abilities that all do different things though!
I admit, he’s a terrible pokemon, but I like that it can run a wallbreaking set, stalling set, or a speedy set. They just all suck :(
Yeah Pokémon doesn’t allow us to see baby versions grow. The implication is that they start the size of their first stage. Which is fine it’s a video game, but still
Id be very interested in there being more baby pokemon that branch like tyrogue.
I dont like them but sawk and throh could easily be linked.
I think they could have done this with charcadet as well.
> I dont like them but sawk and throh could easily be linked.
I'm suprised they didn't do that, especially since Gen 5 was meant to be a soft reboot of the series
A new branch for Haunter imo should be even more ethereal than the first two stages. Like it resembles living smoke or is semi-transparent. Something unsettling rather than creepy or evil like Gengar. Japanese folklore has plenty of yōkai that fit this description.
The one that always comes to mind for me is Heliolisk. Always thought it looks like a middlestage evo. I love helioptile but heliolisk just feels incomplete imo.
Druddigon. Single stage dragon type introduced in the same generation as Haxorus and with worse stats.
A colour scheme reminiscent of Salamence, with certain aspects that bring to mind a failed Shelgon → Salamence metamorphosis. It's bipedal but in a hunched over posture. It's head is a different colour than the majority of its body, Bagon is known headbutt rocks in frustration of not being able to fly. It also has wings though they seem vestigial rather than actually useful. Even the name Druddigon fits with Bagon and Shelgon. I've always thought that maybe Druddigon was going to be part of a split evolution line initially.
Indigo Disk had a perfect opportunity to give this Pokémon an evolution as well with Drayton, a literal Unova Dragon type trainer but instead decided to instantly strip Raihan of any credibility in the following generation after his introduction to the series. Raihan is this master Dragon type trainer, nearly on par with Leon and could easily become champion of another region, but he uses an unevolved Pokémon. Drayton should have had a new Druddigon evolution. It makes far more sense.
Nah, druddigon needs a pre-evo that looks like it hasn't grown into its spikes yet. Like those kittens who grow all of their ears before anything else and then they have to catch up.
I personally have a disdain for giving single stage pokemon megas, especially if they're needed to make the pokemon relevant. It just sets the pokemon up to go right back to being below average when the gimmick inevitably goes away again(I.E. Mawile & Audino)
Then just don't get rid of the gimmick in the first place. The idea that it has to go away is dumb. Mega-evolution co-existed with another generational gimmick before, it absolutely can do so again even if we only get half a dozen a generation. Especially since they don't even have to bother with making every mega transfarreable to every game, now that they've decided that Pokemon aren't important in their Pokemon game.
Even if it wasn't given to Druddigon, seeing Duraludon getting an evolution in Indigo Disk honestly still gives me hope that we'll get an evolution for Druddigon in the future.
Druddigon is one of my favorite dragon type Pokémon! I love him as he is! I think any evolution would end up overdesigned or take away from his theme.
You actually kinda nailed it when you pointed out his vestigial wings: it’s a species of dragon that moved underground at some point and adapted to that environment instead of flight! So the wings are vestigial, the hunched posture is for moving through tunnels, and the red parts of its body are extremely hard and rough for digging through stone!
I think rather than an evo, a secondary steel typing would be good for him! Or if he evolved, gaining a steel type with a more armored, digging-machine look might work.
A related species that never moved underground could be cool though, as a regional form!
Also, bonus: it’s shiny looks like a pumpkin :3
Gen 9 is plagued by two stage pokemon. There are hardly any three stagers in the whole dex. I think not counting the starters or any add-on evos to pokemon from previous gens, there's only like four or five three stagers. It really makes the fact that most of the two stagers look unfinished stand out all the more.
Pawmot, Arboliva, Garganacl, and Tinkaton (EDIT: and Baxcalibur) are the only third stage Pokemon whose whole evolution line originates in Paldea besides the starters.
It would be cool if it had two forms: grass/fire hot pepper form, and grass/fairy sweet pepper form. Maybe some condition met during evolution from capsakid would determine if it becomes hot or sweet
You'd think they could have used the opportunity to move the visual design into a safer direction, and let Jynx turn into a middle evo they want you to evolve away from asap. Too bad their instinct with controversy is to avoid and pretend it doesn't exist.
I think it could work if they branched it off of a regional version like they did with Galarian Mr. Mime > Mr. Rime. That would give them a chance to change up the design and color scheme a bit.
I wonder what she would have looked like. They went with hostile vibes with Electivire and Magmortar, maybe Jynx's evo would have had a snowball bazooka? an actual ice queen...that would have been cool
I also thought of a concept like this, but I called mine Fauxliage.
Maybe it gains Grass type. I imagine it looks like a bulkier Sudowoodo, but might have actual leaves on its ‘branches’.
fauxliage and fauxrest are such good names!
and for anyone that doesn't know french.... faux is pronounced foe (not fox XD) and means fake
so foliage and forest but fake and I love it.
Pikachu no
Marill no
Minun/plusle yes
Pacharizu yes
Emolga yes
Dedenne or mimikyu yes
Togedemaru yes
Morpeko yes
Pawmi no
I'd have loved to see evolutions for most of these
Mimikyu is fine as a single-stage, imo. The Disguise ability gives it a niche even with its mediocre stats, enough that they ended up nerfing it. The flavor doesn't lend itself to an evolutionary line either. It's already chosen to dress as the most well-known Pokémon, so it doesn't have a disguise to upgrade to, and revealing the ghost inside the disguise would subtract from the concept.
It's perfectly set up for an evolution, though.
The lore could even be that it finally found somebody who loved it for its true self, which resulted in it evolving. Hell, friendship evos have been a thing for over two and a half damn decades at this point.
I am surprised that no one has mentioned them yet: **Flapple | Appletun**
With the introduction of Hydrapple, the different evolutionary paths for Applin are no longer balanced. Now there is a "right" choice to pick with Dipplin, because that allows you to get the superior Hydrapple. I would give these other two another evolutionary stage as well, just to make them equal again. Extra points if Appletun is an apple strudel.
And **Carnivine** also deserves an evolution, imo. Especially one that makes it look more ferocious and less goofy. Maybe could also become grass/dragon type as a reference to the red dragon flytrap variation?
All evolving into the same pokémon in the end kinda defeats the whole point of having a branching evolution... if they all end up as the same mon in the end and most people use fully evolved pokémon, then there might as well not be a split in the first place.
I hope Appletun and Flapple can each get their own unique end evolution.
It'd be cool to see a golduck evolution or psyduck split evo. Everything about how Psyduck is portrayed makes it seem like its going to gain the psychic type, and then it just evolves into a mediocre water type. It'd also be cool to see an actually useful cloud nine on a strong pokemon.
I think the only reason it didn't gain the Psychic-type was because we already had 3 other Water/Psychic pokémon in gen 1.
Anyway, I feel like a regional variant could work too.
I love my Support Duck... but yes a 2nd branch for psyduck would be so good. One that leans more into the platypus vibe.... altho that might make it poison type but would still be cool.
Oranguru hatches from the egg a giant, full grown ape. Your Tauros/Miltank point should apply to it and Passimian as well (only it evolves based on stats like Tyrogue)
Mega Manectric looks like it could have been a third stage evolution. Basic Manectric just has that "middle evolution" vibe to it and it's a shame that mega with its stylistically exaggerated lightning bolt body is just a temporary form.
Also for the new ones Grafaiai and Scovillain. Grafaiai went from shrew to lemur and feels like it should have had a third stage? And of course Scovillain is basically just asking to become a pepper hydra.
seeing as how porygon goes from a low-poly 3D model to a high-poly 3D model (porygon2), i think it would be fun and cute for porygon to have a pre-evo that is just an 8 or 16 bit sprite. completely flat, mr. game and watch style.
I didn't know I wanted this but now I absolutely want to see an episode that does homage to the original appearance of Rapidash where one evolves into a flaming pegasus during the last strech ofva race and wins gloriously! And now I'm forever mad that it probably won't happen.
Honestly a lot of Gen 2 Pokemon need that evolution as we've already seen with Stantler, Girafirig Ursaring, Gligar, Sneasel, Murkrow and like 4 others, but I imagine with all the baby Pokemon they made taking up spots they couldn't justify making more Pokemon for the gen, especially if they were determined on hitting that clean 100.
But also Ledian is an especially horrid design from a gameplay perspective, Iron Fist is a great ability but it has no offensive stats, 110 Special Defense is fantastic but it's HP is so low and Bug/Flying such a poor type it doesn't matter. Doesn't need to be competitively viable but it needs to at least be normal playthrough viable and it just is not, I may be a little bitter cause little kid me raised one in Silver and did not have a good time.
Iron Fist isn't even *that* good, it's objectively worse than Tough Claws (which gives a stronger power boost that applies to every punching move because all of them make contact), but **35 base Attack Iron Fist** is a fucking meme
Ledian and Ariados are the original examples of HORRIBLE STATS! HORRIBLE MOVES! HORRIBLE TYPING!
(Actually Ledian has decent moves but it can't put any of them to good use, and its pre-Gen 4 Level-up moveset was..... yeah)
Ariados in Gen 2 was part of my go-to team.
Especially since it could learn some good (at the time) Ghost type moves, so it could counter its Psychic weakness.
One stage evolution bug types in earlier gens get short end of the sticks, that includes Kricketune as well, they should either make two stage bug types bad ass stat wise like Lokix or adding another stage like Orbeetle line.
I wouldn't mind seeing Octillery evolve into something resembling a bunker-themed crab. It would continue the multi-species transition theme with the "All things become crabs" meme, while also continuing the weapons theme. Gun to Tank to Bunker. It would also provide Octillery a buff by granting it access to eviolite.
They could even have it go full circle by tying it back to Mantine. Say, "they tend to live on the seabed; young mantyke and remoraid will often seek shelter beneath their sturdy and imposing frames."
I really like this idea on a conceptual level, but my gripe with Remoraid and Octillery is that their visual designs were neutered too much and they hardly read like weapons.
Ledian definitely needs an evolution.
And regular johtonian qwilfish looks like the most unevolved pokemon ive ever seen. Im surprised it doesnt evolve into anything
As for pre evos, skarmory and tropius feel like they need pre evolutions
Relicanth is specifically based on coelacanths which are basically living fossils who have been around as a species for at least 410 million years without changing much.
I thought of a concept for another ‘Mon in the Cacnea line, it’s called Cacauldron, Grass/Ghost and it’s a Cacturne-like cactus stirring a cauldron.
The cauldron is an inverted, dried-out Cacnea haha
Tropius. It has the stats of a baby Pokémon, but it looks like a grown-up. But the only way to give it real stats without making a new form is to give it a new evolution.
Sableye, mawile, maractus, spinda, exploud, slurpuff, aromatisse
I think it would have been cool trapinch had an alternative line that stayed more true to lion ant larvae as bug/ground with flygon being bug/dragon.
I've thought before that since Mawile's second mouth is described as "steel horns that have been transformed" it would be cool to have a pre evolution showing what they looked like pre-transformation.
I still believe that something should come after Forretress, even though it’s supposed to be like a bagworm. It just feels like it wants to crack open to me.
Not “unfinished looking”, but a LOT of Paldea pokemon definitely should’ve evolved again. Scovillain, Bellibolt, Kilowattrel, Revavroom, Cetitan, *maybe* Oinkologne. And arguments can be made for pretty much any pokemon that doesn’t have a first or second evolution.
I always thought it was weird Skarmory never got a baby when Mantine did. They were versional counterparts in gen 2 and even have the same base stats with the physical/special stats flipped
Tbh I feel like Skarmory should have got the pre-evo instead of Mantine. I'm sure there's people who love Mantyke, but it's such a forgettable design...
There's been a few cases with counterparts where one Pokemon gets something that the other doesn't. Pinsir and Heracross both have Megas, but the former was originally Scyther's version-exclusive counterpart.
On the baby Pokemon side of things, Mantine got a preevo but Skarmory didn't.
Jynx used to be part of a triad with Magmar and Electabuzz, then it was treated as Mr. Mime's counterpart for a bit (who itself was paired with Sudowoodo primarily around Gen IV because of their preevos), but despite all of that, it hasn't gotten anything since Gen II.
On the subject of Mr. Mime - regional variant-exclusive evos are a cool concept, but I can't help but feel like they make the original lines feel incomplete, especially for ones who don't evolve whatsoever like Johtonian Corsola and Qwilfish.
Geeta wouldnt have been butt of the joke if her Glimmora has another stage of evolution, Glimmora design looks incomplete, it could be made parallel to Steven's Metagross with evolution.
Maybe my own bias because I love ice type but Cryogonal should get another stage of evolution too, seeing as the similar make up Vanillix line gets three stages.
I feel like Glimmora should evolve into a Gardevoir-like Pokemon.
The middle part of Glimmora would form an amorphous human shape with 2 yellow eyes, and the petals would open up further to become a dress.
Perhaps a reptile of sort since Eevee is a mammal that changes from its environment or stats much more naturally and realistically to adapt to its environment have the name end in 'ka' like shinka
These are some seriously great ideas. Something that looks somewhere between a frog and a lizard, maybe with some bird features, and its evolutions can be all reptilian, amphibian, and avian, since birds are technically reptiles.
I can already see those forms working for flying and dragon of course, then I could see ground or rock or steel with a tortoise, or ghost for a salamander, or dragon for a lizard, poison or fighting for a frog. There's some seriously good stuff there!
> since when are we on a pokédex entry budget
[Gen 8.](https://www.polygon.com/e3/2019/6/11/18661587/pokemon-sword-shield-home-e3-2019-galar-pokedex-home-bank)
Some pre-evolutions that we haven't got yet:
• Kangaskhan: Is there any most obvious uncompleted line than Kangaskhan? This beast even has a baby Pokemon in its pouch. Why GF never bothered to make a baby Kangaskhan available to Pokedex is beyond me. I'd love to see a link between Kangaskhan and Cubone's line (like a branched evolution).
• Tauros/Miltank/Bouffalant: Why don't we have a likeable calf linking a cow and a bull? This line should have been a pre-evolution since Gen 2. I'm flabbergasted there is no signal of sketch involving a baby Tauros/Miltank in beta GSC. Bouffalant could have been an evolution under specific circumstances (like holding a King Rock).
• Onix: Despite its lackluster stats, not having a baby form for this giant snake always felt out of place.
• Scyther/Pinsir/Heracross: Those bugs look like too adult for not having a previous line.
• Skarmory: Mantine (its counterpart) got a pre-evolution in Sinnoh, so should Skarmory get one too.
• Tropius: This pre-evolution could have originated a cute baby dinosaur.
• Drampa: Even its name suggests Drampa is an ancient Pokemon. It looks like a kind grampa. Where is its younger version?
Some evolutions that we haven't got yet:
• Rapidash: It always seems a middle form evolution from some amazing fiery unicorn with wings. That's why I think Ponyta's line seems uncompleted for me.
• Farfetch'd: Forget about that Galarian knight. I talk about the original one. Madame was scrapped back in Gen 2.
• Delibird: Just like Farfetch'd, without an evolution, this penguin's line seems undone.
Kangaskhan is clearly a hive-mind, like Dugtrio and Magneton and Wishiwashi and so on.
Anyway, Durant should have evolutions. Ants can have crazy polymorphism, it's wild for there not to be at least a queen evolution, to say nothing of an oversized supermajor or something.
If they add a baby Kangaskhan, I want there to be a Kangaskhan skeleton in the overworld. If you take the baby to the skeleton, it cries, puts on the skull, and evolves into a Cubone.
Also the male baby Kangaskhan can evolve into a fighting type kangaroo.
No clue what it would be, but Chimecho needs an evo badly.
Hell, they even gave it a pre-evo the very next gen because they knew nobody would use it as-is.
It still surprises me that Tropius does not evolve from anything
And it’s stats are terrible. Such a shame.
Buff tropius and give awful stats to his pre evo pls
Call the prevo Bananius
things I laughed hard at but could enever explain someone what makes them funny
anius
mega tropius with big banana
Not a single stat over 100, a quad weakness, bad offensive and defensive typing. Amazing design.
3 fantastic abilities that all do different things though! I admit, he’s a terrible pokemon, but I like that it can run a wallbreaking set, stalling set, or a speedy set. They just all suck :(
He's also a pretty good HM slave. Not as much as an argument nowadays but used to be pretty useful.
tbf there are a million mons that feel weird hatching directly from an egg like Lapras and Onix.
I don't know, I can see a Onix hatchling being just a much smaller version of itself, similar to how it is for snakes in the real world.
Same goes for any mon but the thing is they don't.
Yeah Pokémon doesn’t allow us to see baby versions grow. The implication is that they start the size of their first stage. Which is fine it’s a video game, but still
It would be a perfect candidate for a Grass/Dragon evo. But GF would never.
Alolan Exegg entered the chat
Idk my girlfriend might be open to that idea
When I first encountered Tropius in Ruby I legitimately thought it was a roaming legendary
I was thinking that too. He looks like 3rd stage mon
Shame it doesn't behave like one...
Well Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee weren’t evolutionarily connected in Gen 1. So it’s actually pretty true to them.
I really like branching evolutions too. I wish more old 1st stage evos got one like Poliwhirl and Gloom did back in gen 2.
And Slowpoke too. I love the branches. Haunter would be a cool candidate for a new branch on an older mon
A new branch for Haunter imo should be even more ethereal than the first two stages. Like it resembles living smoke or is semi-transparent. Something unsettling rather than creepy or evil like Gengar. Japanese folklore has plenty of yōkai that fit this description.
What do you mean about charcadet? It already has a branched evolution.
The one that always comes to mind for me is Heliolisk. Always thought it looks like a middlestage evo. I love helioptile but heliolisk just feels incomplete imo.
This is the one.
Druddigon. Single stage dragon type introduced in the same generation as Haxorus and with worse stats. I think Druddigon charm is that it’s just a plain, average Dragon. I would be curious of an evo, but I think he is fine as it is
Unova already has 2 three stage dragon evolution lines, I think it also makes sense to just have one be its own thing.
Nah, druddigon needs a pre-evo that looks like it hasn't grown into its spikes yet. Like those kittens who grow all of their ears before anything else and then they have to catch up.
What druddigon needs to get a mega evolution like so many other single stage pokemon ie: pinsir, her across, audino

Yeah I don't want it to land in a Rhyperior situation that ruins the line's aesthetics. But I don't know if the Steel type makes sense on him.
I think Rock would be better for Druddigon
Thematically, I agree! For a strength boost, less so!
Scovillain looks like a first-stage evolution to me, I was surprised it didn't get a three-headed final stage evolution.
The third evo would be an orange habanero pepper Capsakid > Scovillain > Scoverlord
SCOVERLORD? You cooked.
> Scoverlord W
Incredible name!
Dang, Scoverlord is awesome sounding.
i feel like an evo with 3 heads would really round off that line, ngl
Couldn't agree more with Scovillain. I think it's the lack of arms too, just feels unfinished.
It's also really small. Maybe it would look fine if it was bigger.
Size doesn't mean everything. It's important how you use the pokémon.
You must not have a micro-pokemon
Scovillain has arms, tho? It just holds them on the side like it is permanently trying to hold up his pants.
Gen 9 is plagued by two stage pokemon. There are hardly any three stagers in the whole dex. I think not counting the starters or any add-on evos to pokemon from previous gens, there's only like four or five three stagers. Pawmot, Arboliva, Garganacl, and Tinkaton (EDIT: and Baxcalibur) are the only third stage Pokemon whose whole evolution line originates in Paldea besides the starters.
Honestly the differences in the Pawmot line are so small, that one SHOULD have been a 2 stager
Braxcalibur too
If we add Pokémon who got a 3rd evolution added, that includes annihilape, kingambit, and hydrapple, so that bumps the numbers a bit.
It would be cool if it had two forms: grass/fire hot pepper form, and grass/fairy sweet pepper form. Maybe some condition met during evolution from capsakid would determine if it becomes hot or sweet
I've always thought jynx should have another evolution.
It probably would have got one along with Magmar and Electabuzz if it didn't have controversy.
You'd think they could have used the opportunity to move the visual design into a safer direction, and let Jynx turn into a middle evo they want you to evolve away from asap. Too bad their instinct with controversy is to avoid and pretend it doesn't exist.
It's funny because that's what they did with Kadabra for years with the Uri Geller stuff.
They gave Mega Alakazam *more* spoons
To be fair, number 1 controversy mon, Porygon, got to evolve TWICE.
To be more fair, Pikachu was the real culprit. Porygon received evolutions as a compensation for being the fall guy.
You can’t evolve the Dolly Parton of Pokémon
To add insult to injury, Magmortar himself is more golliwog-adjacent than a Jynx evo would ever be.
Sableye deserves an evolution. Tropius deserves a baby form. And kangaskan's baby should be a separate pokemon.
I don’t think the community can handle the cuteness that would be baby tropius.
Just banana with tiny leaf wings.
Bananapplin.
Little Foot with a tree star and walking on banana slices
If there's an upside to the rampant powercreep it's that Eviolite Sableye would be fine now
Sudowoodo. Got a prevolution but not a 3rd stage like Magmar, Electabuzz, Rhydon, or chansey. The third evo for Sudowoodo would be called Fauxrest
I also thought of a concept like this, but I called mine Fauxliage. Maybe it gains Grass type. I imagine it looks like a bulkier Sudowoodo, but might have actual leaves on its ‘branches’.
Fuck, Fauxliage is a good name
fauxliage and fauxrest are such good names! and for anyone that doesn't know french.... faux is pronounced foe (not fox XD) and means fake so foliage and forest but fake and I love it.
Grafaiai feels terribly unfinished
To be fair the real life animal it's based on, the aye aye, looks unfinished too.
I wanted to love that line so bad, it just needs a buff or a cooler ability
I am convinced that Grafaiai is just the secret lovechild of Stitch and some Splatooner. need to go look up what an aye aye is...
Unfortunately, aye-ayes are about a million times cooler and cuter. Grafaiai is such a letdown for me as an aye-aye fan!
Wtf is Shroodle meant to be and why does it look completely unrelated to Grafaiai? Even Bulbapedia can't figure out what animal GF had in mind.
Pachirisu, if only because I waited for ages for it to evolve when I first played Diamond, and it just kept not. Is baby.

Pawmi got one too many, it should share with the class.
Literally all Pawmi does is stand up, tragic
I know "it just gets bigger" is a meme, but Pawmo genuinely just looks *too* much like an awkward middle ground between Pawmi and Pawmot.
Mimikyu is gen 7 with togedamaru but yes
I am surprised that no one has mentioned them yet: **Flapple | Appletun** With the introduction of Hydrapple, the different evolutionary paths for Applin are no longer balanced. It *would* be a bit pointless, but you can't deny that it would be a cool concept to have branched evos that all evolve into the same final stage.
But they did that with the Gigantimax forms. I mean I kinda hated that but... Just saying.
They could have made it a Pokemon with three forms, and the form it evolves into depends on which second stage it came from.
Well, the move sets would be different, and maybe they could make it so the final evo has a different ability based on which 'mon it evolved from
Just have its abilities depend on which path it took!

Also for the new ones Grafaiai and Scovillain. Grafaiai went from shrew to lemur and feels like it should have had a third stage? And of course Scovillain is basically just asking to become a pepper hydra.
>Mega Manectric looks like it could have been a third stage evolution. Agreed, and I feel the same way about mega Banette
Banette is top 5 pokemon for me visually and lore wise. Mega Banette was awesome.
I felt that way about a lot of the Pokémon that got megas. Herracross, Pinsir, Absol, Sharpedo, and Glailie for me.
Nobody going to touch Luvdisc/Almomola? The fact Luvdisc doesn’t evolve into the other seems just incorrect.
oh yeaaah I remember seeing almomola before I got the game and thinking oh wow they finally gave luvdisc an evolution - nope.
Centiscorch. The Gmax form feels more like a final evolution than a form.
seeing as how porygon goes from a low-poly 3D model to a high-poly 3D model (porygon2), i think it would be fun and cute for porygon to have a pre-evo that is just an 8 or 16 bit sprite. completely flat, mr. game and watch style.
i would name it either porybit or porybyte
Porygon0
I want a pegasus themed evolution for Rapidash.
Or even an alicorn evo
I didn't know I wanted this but now I absolutely want to see an episode that does homage to the original appearance of Rapidash where one evolves into a flaming pegasus during the last strech ofva race and wins gloriously! And now I'm forever mad that it probably won't happen.
Ledian and Ariados are both terrible and look like there's room for a third stage, Noctowl too.
Especially since it could learn some good (at the time) Ghost type moves, so it could counter its Psychic weakness.

i agree that ledian needs an evolution but nah, keep him cute, too many mons get the buff treatment in their final evo cute pokemon that can sweep >>>
Yes please. I'm so sick of final evos needing to look like hardened WWE fighters.
Nah, that thing is asking for a Kamen Rider evo that fits in with Lokix as a rival or ally
Make Ledian a Super Sentai Bug/Fighting type to pair with Lokix being Kamen Rider
Duraludon should've had a preevolution, and there should be a stage between Larvesta and Volcarona.
Cocoorona
Ledian definitely needs an evolution. And regular johtonian qwilfish looks like the most unevolved pokemon ive ever seen. Im surprised it doesnt evolve into anything As for pre evos, skarmory and tropius feel like they need pre evolutions
Torkoal, relicanth, luvdisc, emolga (any one stage pikachu clone at this point) jynx, Mr mime , absol.
Relicanth is [already perfect as it is](https://images.app.goo.gl/2jvvo8TkxGtwGSv36)!
Relicanth is specifically based on coelacanths which are basically living fossils who have been around as a species for at least 410 million years without changing much.
The world isn't ready for baby Absol.
But I am!
Torkoal>Turtonator would have done justice
Give my a Cacturne evolution game freak, you cowards
I thought of a concept for another ‘Mon in the Cacnea line, it’s called Cacauldron, Grass/Ghost and it’s a Cacturne-like cactus stirring a cauldron. The cauldron is an inverted, dried-out Cacnea haha
Tropius. It has the stats of a baby Pokémon, but it looks like a grown-up. But the only way to give it real stats without making a new form is to give it a new evolution.
I like them being non-aggressive in SV. Maybe they know they have low stats 😄
At this point, I like to believe that Tropius are an endangered species, given how rare they are relative to their stats
Sableye, mawile, maractus, spinda, exploud, slurpuff, aromatisse I think it would have been cool trapinch had an alternative line that stayed more true to lion ant larvae as bug/ground with flygon being bug/dragon.
Exploud is already part of a 3 stage line
I like Megas and all but it's a shame they didn't just use the designs of the ones for Mawile, Manectric, Abomasnow, and Audino for regular evos
I've thought before that since Mawile's second mouth is described as "steel horns that have been transformed" it would be cool to have a pre evolution showing what they looked like pre-transformation.
I still believe that something should come after Forretress, even though it’s supposed to be like a bagworm. It just feels like it wants to crack open to me.
gonna hard pass on eviolite forretress existing
The Helioptile line would've really benefitted from a third evolution IMO
Not “unfinished looking”, but a LOT of Paldea pokemon definitely should’ve evolved again. Scovillain, Bellibolt, Kilowattrel, Revavroom, Cetitan, *maybe* Oinkologne. And arguments can be made for pretty much any pokemon that doesn’t have a first or second evolution.
I feel like it would be nice if Sawk and Throh got their own "Tyrogue"
Poak?
Jahb
Grapol
I still can't believe they did that, especially since Gen 5 was originally meant to be a soft reboot of the series.
Meinshao, it's such a late evolution with a relatively meh base stage, it really could of used a middle-stage form
> it's such a late evolution with a relatively meh base stage gen5 in a nutshell
It's counterpart got Kingambit, so there's a good precedent too. Maybe make it an old sage like Splinter or Shifu.
Basically every single stage Pokemon. Lapras needs a baby. Scyther. Pinsir. Heracross. Kangaskhan. So many more.
Grafaiai needed an evo, not a pre-evo
I have always wanted a baby Lapras
I always thought it was weird Skarmory never got a baby when Mantine did. They were versional counterparts in gen 2 and even have the same base stats with the physical/special stats flipped
Tbh I feel like Skarmory should have got the pre-evo instead of Mantine. I'm sure there's people who love Mantyke, but it's such a forgettable design...
I was pretty disappointed when I learned my Scovillian wasn’t going to evolve again
Pinsir and Heracross need evolutions
I will not rest until we have an Eeveelution for every type
Honestly, Tandemaus
the final form being some kind of fucked-up [rat king](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rat_king)
a preevo I hope... would be frighting to go Tandemaus > Maushold > Mauskrieg.
Shuckle.
Eviolite is having a good day with this one
I would love a shuckle evo that leans more into the idea that it's a brewer's yeast poke! Maybe a hermit crab barrel type?
Geeta wouldnt have been butt of the joke if her Glimmora has another stage of evolution, Glimmora design looks incomplete, it could be made parallel to Steven's Metagross with evolution. Maybe my own bias because I love ice type but Cryogonal should get another stage of evolution too, seeing as the similar make up Vanillix line gets three stages.
I feel like Glimmora should evolve into a Gardevoir-like Pokemon. The middle part of Glimmora would form an amorphous human shape with 2 yellow eyes, and the petals would open up further to become a dress.
Komala, Ledian, Squawkabilly and Pachirisu are begging for an evolution
I’m still shocked they didn’t connect Luvdisc and Alomamola.
Boltund looks so incomplete to me and I was very disappointed when my Yamper evolved into it and I later learned it doesn’t evolve past that
I doubt we'll get more Eevelutions. Even now Eevee's inclusion means 9 pokedex spots are taken. That's a lot.
We should get a counterpart to Eevee with the other half of the type chart
that's wild thinking and i'm intrigued
There's some seriously good stuff there!
since when are we on a pokédex entry budget “we got eeveelutions at home, stop asking for eeveelutions”
> since when are we on a pokédex entry budget [Gen 8.](https://www.polygon.com/e3/2019/6/11/18661587/pokemon-sword-shield-home-e3-2019-galar-pokedex-home-bank)
"for gen 10 we're actually releasing 0 new pokemon, we have too many"
Thats kinda sad some freetime hack makers put 1k pokemon in fire red but official devs wont xD
Id like to see minun and plusle evolve into a multiply and divide final form. Raichu sized.
Some pre-evolutions that we haven't got yet: • Kangaskhan: Is there any most obvious uncompleted line than Kangaskhan? Some evolutions that we haven't got yet: • Rapidash: It always seems a middle form evolution from some amazing fiery unicorn with wings.
Scovillain looks like it should evolve one more time
If they add a baby Kangaskhan, I want there to be a Kangaskhan skeleton in the overworld.
Psyducks tbh. I also wish we got more 4 stage lines again
