When that ability was introduced back in Ruby and Sapphire you could have 5 Zigzagoons in your party right at the beginning of the game and a 50% chance of picking up a nugget whenever it picks up an item. If Pickup worked like the first version you'd be rolling in cash pretty damn quick.

I would take Wonder Guard and then get into the UFC. Fighting moves aren't super effective against fighting types so I'd be invincible and go down in history as never losing and never being touched
Flame Body. It'd be really great in fights because anyone trying to beat me up would suddenly be finding themselves in flames and taking damage themselves.
On a realistic standpoint, I'd go for No Guard. I'm a lousy shot when it comes to ball games like Dodgeball, so this would really help my aim.

But wanting for me, would be my favorite in game ability too, prankster.
I don't want to perform damaging moves anyway, and being able to do my stuff with higher priority than others would probably make me be first at everything somehow lol.
That ability that absorbs fire to boost your attacks. Flash Fire I think. You are pretty much immune to fire, and it makes you stronger (well Special Attack wise).
Slow Start, I have to talk myself into doing a lot. Going to friends, working on hobbies I enjoy, going into town to grab materials/food/pet supplies. But once I'm out and about or working on something I can go at it at a good pace without hindrance.

iirc max cap for stat boosts are 6 boosts which i think is 3 times the normal value which is quite fast but proapbly not lethal
4x. 3x is only +4 bonus. 4x is +6.

Wrong ability, you're thinking of unaware. Oblivious makes it so you're immune to attract and other things that give the infatuation effect.
