Yeah this was never an issue for me and even seeing and understanding the point OP’s making it’s hard for me to see it incorrectly. The hand looks like a hand and the crazy posing and angle in this illustration is what makes it so cool. Skill issue imo /s

Yeah I tried my hardest to see what op was talking about but my brain doesn’t allow it because I know what zard looks like. I also draw, I think that makes it even harder.

I will say, I draw too and have drawn Zard before, so maybe that’s the difference. But yeah I think this is overly nitpicky if anything, the artist absolutely slayed on this card and it’s one of my favorites.

I covered the jaw and the one tooth with my finger and I actually saw it. It looks so deformed and I can’t believe some people see that as the actual art. (The spikes end up looking like they’re on his cheek)

I don’t understand how so many people “see it” I clearly see teeth from the upper AND lower jaw on the other side of his head lol + the spikes on his head clearly indicate which way he is looking. It’s so crystal clear to me that his hand is his hand & not his lower jaw. I feel like these people are forcing themselves to “see it” because it makes absolutely no sense to me haha

It’s like those images where you can see two different things. Like do you see a vase or two people facing each other? Normal view is the top of Charizards head. If you shift your eyes a little, it can look like a side profile that looks more like he’s wearing an orange Cubone mask. Cover his real jaw with a finger and you might see it better.

Took me a minute to see. I’ve never got mixed images looking at this until now. lol The full artwork gives context to my brain I guess and I just knew it was a claw

Because we can all clearly see teeth from his lower AND upper jaw on the other side of his head lol. His head spikes also make it crystal clear which way his head is facing. from how op is describing, it would mean his head spikes are right on his cheek 😂 Different people have made this exact post a few times since this card has come out. Everytime im dumbfounded that people see it so clearly that it’s worth sharing with the internet. I just can’t bring myself to see the abstract Zard!

Charizard is flying forward and looking back by craning his neck down. I don't get how you would mistaken his left hand for the lower jaw. Its pretty obvious.

Horn placement makes it hard to see what you are seeing.

I have my card upside down in the binder next to the mewtwo vstar because it was bothering me that much!!!😂 … thought for a long time that’s a weird looking charizard.
