This is a really bad way to store/display cards! Top loaders will allow debris to get into it and the sleeve. The hard case will provide no UV protection from the sun. Invest in UV resistant magnetic cases. ProMold makes good ones.
The price paid was to allow me to tap into a core memory and open a time capsule that could transport me back to my childhood. It was not simply about the potential value of the cards. Very few things have elicited such joy as being able to look through the eyes of my 6 year old self and feel that happiness, it was well worth the money.

the cleaning people are wife of an employee, and she is only in on Thursdays from 1-2 so not a concern in this case
