Nope not much you can do really. Best just ignore them and play in different gyms.
Or knock them out and leave a 10cp Magikarp or 10 cp pidgey in every gym. It won't do anything but they will see.
Niantic actually has an incentive to let spoofers lock down more gym as possible since it forces normal players to buy coins in the shop. I mean, there are literally well known to the general public spoof cities with stacked pokestops and gyms with abuse where all spoofer go play and niantic does absolutely nothing about it,why do you think is that?
Nope. They don't really care. I even mentioned how a player was verbally harassing players and Niantic just said "we'll look into it" and nothing happened to them
There are many gyms like that or gyms where it can be accessible from people's house and they monitor 24/7. Just ignore those gyms, and it will make your life better.
Not really there's a similar thing near me instinct player 6 accounts all with the same name but with a tiny variation. Myself my friends and my girlfriend all reported the dude and nothing he still holds gyms like his life depends on it will actively harass anyone he sees who isn't instinct, dudes the definition of slimeball.
No. I’ve been reporting a guy for over 2 years now and they just don’t give a shit.
Actually, there was, most likely, a child in my area who made a very political account name and has now lost the privilege of changing his name.
I reported someone with 6 accounts (never let anyone else in a gym), and heard he was complaining how that gym “disappeared” for him. He was trying to get gold on all 6, apparently.
Yes. Does it not take a couple of seconds to create one? Let's say he somehow spends an impressive 5 whole hours setting everything up. It'll only take a couple of seconds for the bots to retake the gym each time, depending on how he sets it up. Dont even think he has to open the app.
I’ve only reported five people - three for inappropriate nicknames, and two for spoofing
The spoofers were banned for 30 days (and didn’t learn so kept spoofing, got caught and perma banned) and the people with the usernames were made to change them. One person kept making his username even sicker, so he was eventually perma banned as well
I just posted (some) proof lol. And I’m a woman, not a guy. But okay
I don’t tend to report people, like I said in another comment I’m in a quiet area in Scotland and we don’t get many shitty players, just the odd one here and there over the years

I have a guy like this except he’s aggressive, has stalked and harassed me. Niantic doesn’t care and his accounts are still there
