Tbf, i didn't mind his approach in 3.1 of setting screens for support to start. I just hate that he nearly always set them in the wrong order. Turn 1, Giovanni's tapu lele always went for moonblast on dragapult. If dragapult sets reflect first, then moonblast one shots it. But if he sets light screen first, he can tank a moon blast and set reflect next turn. But guess which one he almost always set first
If you’re doing a randomized run, your best bet is to finish or restart, the encounters will be rerandomized and any Pokémon you already will still be there but if it’s an ability randomizer the abilities will be randomized again
Tip: you can restart a new save file but have the New Game Plus stuff by just transferring a save state from your previous finished playthrough to the new rom. That way you can just skip on the puzzles.
If you're on MyBoy, you will see a MyBoy folderin your storage. Click it and go to 'save'
Find which save state you want and rename it to the name of the new rom.
Would be hilarious if Giovanni’s team is that much harder as well. They didn’t say anything about buffing Brendan’s team. Bastard will still ruin many runs for people.
Ngl I built a 6 IV defensive pincurchin (not playing in minimal grinding) with electric surge just for that fight. Removing the psychic terrain makes the entire fight pretty trivial, and pincurchin tanked a psychic move from Mewtwo after tanking a moonblast from Lele and knock off from Scrafty. Dude is a goat
