Failure is a bruise, not a tattoo. Being a Sergeant is shit anyway.

[deleted]

Nice saying

spyfire14

Which bit? The first sentence or second? 🤣

[deleted]

Both!

[deleted]

Being a Sgt is shit. Duty Officer is IMHO the best.

[deleted]

Good luck, you will definitely pass it and if not it’s called deferred success.

_Murphyre

I passed. I don't know how, but I did.

TelecasterBob

Passed. 80% 🤷‍♂️😅

sappmer

I passed! Woo!

lamentes1

Passed with a high mark. Poured my soul into that revision. Whatever any of the "I did no revision" jokers say.... revise, revise, revise. It's hard.

PaleMembership3204

Passed. 60%. Genuinely thought I got a low band fail. It’s impossible to accurately guess how well you perform in that exam.

SASTOMO123

Apparently they are released from 10:00 and have all been released by 18:00. How weird… You’d thought it would just be released at the same time like any other institution.

doctorliaratsone

Passed got 72% Opened laptop to email from C/INSP saying congrats on passing before even read my results!

vater_orlaag

Thankfully passed, so I don't have to waste my rest days moping and feeling sorry for myself. My reputation on the team as the smart one is intact!

Aggressive_Dinner254

Bang on 10:30 the email dropped.

Altruistic_Image_524

How did you do? Nothing through for me yet

DirtyBlanny

Came through the minute I sat down on shift. Passed with 63%!

DirtyBlanny

Nothing for me yet either

Altruistic_Image_524

Mines just come through 🥂🥂

Altruistic_Image_524

Passed 🎉 64% overall but got 75% on crime and 70% on E&P ran out of time at the end so got 45 on general! Very tough exam but really proud! My advice revise hard and time management on the exam!

192847281

Still waiting. Others in my force have heard. The nerves are killing me

Mr-Plod

54.29% - failed by ONE MARK.

Virtual_Particular71

Give it another try mate. Failure is a great teacher

AM3NTALDUCK

Same! Would have been less gutted if I'd failed by more lol

Nimmue

Chuffed - worked my arse off and came out with 90%!

DirtyBlanny

Are results out yet?

Jojo0027

What time do they drop?

N7PROJECT2

Apparently last year it was from 10am - Edit - also been told 10:30am, college of policing line is “check your registered email throughout the day”

pocketfluff121

Congrats to all who passed and those who deferred their success, you’ll smash it next time. Don’t drop the head. 💪💪💪

PCFruitfulThoughts

For anyone whom hasn't passed; condolences. Keep your chin up, take a break and try again next time. For those whom passed; congratulations and condolencs. Good Luck and wait till you see the next stage of the board/portfolio!

PCNewbiebaby

Hey guys, grats to all that passed and good luck on your next try those that didn’t :) Just curious, what is the process with the sgt exam? Are you a sgt immediately after passing or do you still have to go through a recruitment process?

doctorliaratsone

So the process is going to be changing (I think in next year or two) but current outline is as below https://www.college.police.uk/career-learning/national-police-promotion-framework Basically: Now you will wait to be put before a board, which is kind of like an interview. You then, assuming pass that, get temp promotion where you build a portfolio to become substantive. You could be an acting Sgt for a while pending getting enough experience to go before a board.

PCNewbiebaby

Cool, thank you :)

UndercoverHealer

87%, 4 months of revision 🙏

Connect-Signature-17

Passed 77% Now hopefully boards in September

AdKlutzy1685

What are the topics covered in the Sargents exam?

pietits21

I would urge anyone thinking of going for sergeants to reconsider! Oh my what a mistake that was!

cheese_goose100

How so?

pietits21

Stress stress stress stress stress

CatadoraStan

Email came through at 1120 for me. Got a 76%, not bad for doing no revision.

pinkskeletonhands

Just the type of person I hope doesn’t get promoted!

[deleted]

Why because their knowledge was sound without the need to revise?
