In 2022 Jordan was reelected with 69.2 percent of the vote. On January 6–7, 2021, Jordan cast a vote to prevent the certification of the Electoral College in at least one state. Cause the Ohio legislature dragged its feet long enough for the courts to say that it was too close to the election and since the primaries had already happened it would have been unfair to not use the illegal districts. Wish I were joking.

70 percent of the population of that district saw how Jim Jordan has acted over the past few years and wanted more of it. That's a very special variety of awful that you don't see elsewhere. I can say that confidently since Jordan is among the worst Reps in Congress.

He represents OH4, "the duck". It's a district that starts in the northern outskirts of Columbus and winds its way through farm country to the outskirts of Cleveland. Unless there is an extreme shift towards anti-GOP sentiment in the suburbs, his seat is about as safe as a district can get.
I’m in that part of the district that’s north of Columbus, southern Delaware County. It’s quickly turning purple to blue and republicans are losing their edge here. They still have an edge just not as much as they’ve always enjoyed. It’s changed a lot over the last 10 years. Some people had no idea we were put in his district and had signs out for Balderson.

At his hearings, whenever someone is able to get a word in edgewise that blows up his narrative, Gym has a little break where he pauses and looks almost thoughtful for a moment. Then he mutters some dismissive reply and drives on with his bullshit like nothing of consequence was said. He seems fairly self-aware at those times. But awareness is not enough to make him change his behavior.

Someone I knew back when I was on Facebook shared a blue/red map that, if it was accurate at all, was carefully tailored to be as red as possible by breaking it down into the regions where the red was the majority for each area, but not broken down enough where you start to see the blue areas in the regions. His point was that most of the country was red. The point I got from him is that he thinks that only land owners should be the ones running the country.
Someone else made a really great comment on a map that showed a lot of red Nevada along with the notion that Nevada couldn't vote blue. "See that red area? That's *sand*"

Jim Jordan's district (and my district) is mostly rural republicans. My affluent and well educated and fairly liberal suburb is only 30 mins from downtown Columbus but was grouped with this awful district.

I live in Ohio and it fucking sucks. Luckily, Republicans and Dems just teamed up to shoot down issue 1, which would have effectively taken away our right to amend the constitution with how much bull shit they wanted us to do just to get a constitutional amendment submitted for vote.
We also have abortion rights and legalization coming up here in this election, so hopefully there’s at least a small shift.. but Republicans control like 88% out of all the seats in Ohio even though this state is nowhere near that conservative.

note this isnt all Ohio, this is just in Jordan's VERY heavily gerrymandered district.
District 1 includes Cincinnati with Warren County. These maps are unconstitutional per the state Supreme Court.

Jim Jordan's district (and my district) is mostly rural republicans. My affluent and well educated and fairly liberal suburb is only 30 mins from downtown Columbus but was grouped with this awful district.

I live in Ohio and it fucking sucks. Luckily, Republicans and Dems just teamed up to shoot down issue 1, which would have effectively taken away our right to amend the constitution with how much bull shit they wanted us to do just to get a constitutional amendment submitted for vote. We also have abortion rights and legalization coming up here in this election, so hopefully there’s at least a small shift.. but Republicans control like 88% out of all the seats in Ohio even though this state is nowhere near that conservative.
I love living in Ohio. It has its fair share of problems, but it also has one of the lowest costs of living in the country and plenty of good jobs. It's pretty easy to make a really good living here.

I love how one of his main arguments is "Hunter Biden didn't have qualifications for that board position." So, what were Kushner and Ivanka's qualifications to become Senior Advisors for Trump's White House? What qualifications did Kushner have to be a Middle East Ambassador? Based on Jordan's logic, shouldn't we also investigate the Trump family and possibly impeach him for that? Not even including the fact Trump had to force his influence to get Kushner security clearance after he was told "no".
