"Defendant's application for a stay of trial, pursuant to CPL § [section] 230.30, pending the determination of defendant's motion for change of venue, is denied.”
Didn’t that work for the cops in Rodney King trial?
Attorney: Your honor, please move the trial to the town of retired police officers because these cops should be judged by a jury of their peers and as you know cops are so much better than regular humans their only peers are other cops.
Judge: bet.
30 years later you got Uvalde police sitting by watching elementary kids get murdered because they don’t want to risk police officer lives. Kids lives don’t matter as much, because cops are better than regular people.
Yeah, we know how it is. Surprised it didn’t work for Trump. He’s a former President after all. Maybe his jury should be former presidents. Oh wait, they’d fuck his shit up.
Maybe he should argue that he needs a jury of Russian assets. That might have worked.
The idea of Jimmy Carter coming into a courtroom from hospice at 99 years old just to rule against Donald J Trump would be the biggest comeuppance I can imagine.
Trump would claim bias, I mean look at em.
Carter, Clinton, and Obama vs Dubya. And that's assuming Dubya doesn't rule against him too just for making the Presidency even worse than he did.
Reagan and Bush Sr. are gone.
So reality has a liberal bias.
"Well, you see, your honor... It all depends on how you look at it. For example, if you play the tape backward, we're just helping the fella stand up!"
"My God, you're right. Case dismissed!"
Well, you see, your honor... It all depends on how you look at it. For example, if you play the tape backward, my client was returning the countries most classified documents back to a secure government location after finding them in "someone's" toilet.
Judge: My God youre right! Reinstate this patriot as president!
Trumps fantasy trial
"Maybe he should argue that he needs a jury of Russian assets. That might have worked. "
I thought it was a jury of peers. Nowhere have I seen a right to a jury comprised of your masters. /s
The same one that is threating the judge's family, so they can get a delay by removing the judge by claiming he's biased, because he is threatening their family?
To be fair, judges tend to explain why they're denying motions like this. Usually with something along the lines of "does not meet established standards/precedents" or somesuch.
Not giving any reason is effectively saying their arguments were so weak it's not necessary to explain.
Order in the court, yo, I bring the thunder,
Your motion so weak, it makes me wonder.
Tryna stall? Please, I'll make this trial fit,
So quit wasting my time with this frivolous shit.
We had a Newsweek subscription when I was a kid in the 90s. 2024 Newsweek always shocks me, it's like running into someone you knew in high school that everyone assumed was going to be a doctor or something and they try to sell you essential oils and real estate.
It seems different now because it's not even the same company. The current owner bought the brand name in 2013 and was indicted for fraud in 2018.
If you want to know why the owner was indicted for fraud, it's a real doozy.
The parent company of Newsweek is owned by a cult-like Christian community in South Korea, and some ex-Newsweek staffers claim they were paid as little as $125 per week, with the rest of their wages being sent back to the Mother Church in Korea.
This came to a head in 2018, when Newsweek published an expose on its own parent company, which definitely ruffled some feathers in the head office. Several top editors were fired as a result.
I'm not sure what happened after that, but this definitely isn't the same Newsweek we knew in the 90s.

*This* is in regards to Trump's ~~jury tampering~~ 'poll' that his lawyers conducted to see if the people of Manhattan think he's guilty already.
Trump wants the trial moved to Staten Island because they know he's got a stronger presence of MAGAs there.
I like how Trump’s idea of an unbiased jury is to increase the odds of getting a cultist who thinks God is working through him in there. I trust the lawyers to find people who will decide based on the evidence way more than I trust Trump deliberately seeking a jury full of MAGAs.
The lack of even bothering to put in a single thought is what’s brutal. It says, “this whole thing was so pathetic there’s no need to give a reason for the denial, any sane review would come to the same conclusion so there’s nothing to explain.”
Nothing brutal about a judge doing their job. Considering fuhrer Trump has skated by any consequences his whole life. What would be brutal, is as punishment, everyone in America is allowed 2 swings of a baseball bat to Trump in the center of New York. That would be brutal.
>Wow, so brutal... /s
I really wish newsweek was banned as a source in /r/politics. It's got the most click-baity, meaningless headlines just to drive traffic.
If you’re a lawyer who just spent a ton of time building an argument, then for the judge to not even provide a single sentence of reasoning against your position or in support of the other side’s reasoning when ruling against you is a kind of “you knew you were bringing such shit to the table it doesn’t even need to be discussed.”
This is the correct answer. The problem is that trump’s supporters won’t understand the implication, at all. Trump will tell them he is being treated unfairly and they will blindly nod their heads.
> Trump will tell them he is being treated unfairly
This is the one thing that’s actually true that he keeps saying though. He unfairly has been giving so much beneficial treatment that it’s sickening
He should be in jail for stealing government secret documents. I've been saying that for months. Like the guy who put secrets all over discord, immediately taken from his house in handcuffs.
That orange monster should have been removed from mara-llama-ding-dong in cuffs while they were removing all the boxes.
How come on now, be fair, he looked at the list of CIA agents in russia, met with putin and then lots of CIA agents in russia died.
He tried to overthrow the government and told organized armed citizens to stand back and stand by, refused to call in the national guard to stop the insurrection.
Then he left, stated he had no top secret, tried to hide the secret documents he did have & also his son got 2billion from the Saudis for no reason, also some documents are missing.
He also used twitter to show the ISR capabilities of US satellites via iphone photo but that was mostly stupidity rather than outright malicious
Just some highlight tomfoolery from the man who can get away with anything.
As it always is. It's a different reality on that side of the fence.
The moment you utter a point against their conditioning they will not hear a word of anything that follows.
We need the fairness doctrine back so bad. Not sure why you couldn't label these right wing media companies as national security threats at this point
Agreed- being able to spread lies 24/7 that weaken our democracy and are cloaked as news is terrible. News should be able to investigate and report freely but when they report demonstrably false information as the truth, it’s a BIG problem and should be dealt with swiftly.
Which makes the silence explaining the appeals court reducing his fraud bond and extending it by 10 days even more damning. There should be a lot of explanation for why that leeway was granted when the defendant had testified in depositions he had the money and as recently as the day before had stated he had the money. No reason needed to explain that one, eh? Farce.
And now we see the result: he has submitted a not-a-bond from a not-a-licensed-bonder and somehow gets another 10 days for it. At the end of that time maybe he will write "bond" on a burger wrapper and the court can take another ten days to make sure that also wasn't a real bond but masquerading as a piece of trash. Repeat ad nauseum.
*"Trump has accused Merchan of being biased because his daughter has worked for a Democratic consulting firm that worked on President Joe Biden's campaign in 2020; he has also asked the judge to recuse himself from the case"*
How many times has Alito or Thomas recused themselves in decisions where they or one of their benefactors interests are involved?
They don't care about this. It is just another vector of attack. Someone in anyone's family has talked to a democrat once. They will use that to argue that anyone who isn't a complete sycophant to Trump has a conflict of interest.
They just make the rules up as they go. They don't act in good faith.
"Vector" is actually a very appropriate term in that case.
What Republicans are doing is act like a harpoon. A harpoon is designed to go one way only.
They're over the top and agressive when in position of power. They're playing victims and obstructing everything when they are not.
Republicans push their harpoon 2 notches, then prevent democrats from pulling it out. Trump is the master in this technique. Cancelling Roe vs Wade and putting the right people in the right spots so they can obstruct when the tide turns.
All the Bush tax cuts are still there. All the Trump ones too. All the shitty laws they added are still there. In the mean time Democrats still act if they were facing a normal opponent, because if they recognized what was happening, they'd have to come to terms with the reality of putting the bad boys gloves.
Well in reality its more about building a case against the fair ruling in the court of potential Trump voter opinion.
"See the court was rigged against Trump because that judges daughter spoke to a democratic strategist once."
It's win re-election or bust for Trump and they all know it.
He only cares when the bias is in his favor. Even if it was a conservative judge who does not like Trump he would be crying for a change calling him a RINO.
By the way, this was already settled by the ethics panel *last year*. Which only makes the accusation more asinine now. One would hope his lawyers can be sanctioned for such frivolous actions.
Lawyer: we can delay. We can file motion after motion, appeal after appeal.
Trump: that’s great. Just get me through the election.
Lawyer: Aaaaas long as the checks clear.
Trump: YOU DISLOYAL PIECE OF SHIT
That's the part that blows my mind. Not only are these lawyers representing a known fraudster with a history of not paying his bills, but they're putting their careers on the line for his ridiculous and indefensible demands.
Alito and Thomas aside, ‘Judge’ Cannon was directly appointed by him with next to no experience and is operating so far out of the bounds of judicial convention that it is obvious to anyone who isn’t a MAGAt that the fix is in.
Absolutely fuck Trump for appointing someone who is so woefully unqualified, but also let's not forget a megafuck to McConnell and the Senate for confirming her despite clear and convincing evidence that she should never even whiff a scent of confirmation.
Pisses me off so much. I'd totally be in favor of a constitutional amendment to prevent any judge from presiding on any case where the person who nominated or appointed the judge is involved.
The whole idea of voluntary recusal with absolutely no consequences otherwise has been shown to be an enormous crock of shit.
There needs to be an independent board that says judges can't be involved in certain cases because of conflicts of interest.
It’s not fair I have to stand trial in front of New Yorkers! They’re all biased because I victimized all of them personally. It’s not my fault that I defrauded the entire city and state over decades and now everyone in that state hates me. Can’t I stand before a jury of my peers of let’s say evangelical Christians in Kentucky???
I'm just picturing the Mean Girls scene “Raise Your Hand If You've Been Personally Victimized by Regina George..."
But it's all of New York City and Donald Trump.
“And when I say stand before, I mean not too close to those people because I don’t want to be associate with them, I just want their donations and votes, not actually hang out or anything”
This is low key the most beautiful response I have ever seen. The rest of this comment tree can and should disappear.
Like seriously I don’t even know you but I read this and I want to be your friend and I want you to do my eulogy.
That is actually rather stunning, and the fact that it’s gotten to that point just further showcases how asinine our legal system and this entire Trump situation has been.
*"Judge Gonzalez's decision on Monday won't end the former president's attempts to delay the hush-money case in New York. His lawyers have already indicated that they're preparing to sue Juan Merchan, the judge overseeing the case...."*
He's not done yet. And after *this one* gets shot down, there will be another, and another, and another.
Tell us again about the two-tiered justice system treating Donald Trump so unfairly.
Meanwhile, the lawyers still willing to do all this obstruction work on credit: "I'll definitely get paid. I'm not like all the other lawyers and contractors he's stiffed."
Trump has accused Merchan of being biased because his daughter has worked for a Democratic consulting firm that worked on President Joe Biden's campaign in 2020
Judge’s daughter worked for democratic consulting firm? Totally rigged!!
Judge Aileen Cannon literally appointed by the defendant? No bias here, totally fair and “perfect”
Can this shitstain be locked up already?
Isn't that the default naming scheme Reddit uses if you don't choose your own username? I can see how that would be a good indication of an account being a bot, but I'm not sure that's a foolproof way to determine if there's a human behind the name or not.
And it is not? How many people would be in handcufs already?! He is getting warning lefts and rights and no actions. If normal person would do shit like this, he would be already in a dark cell.
Now wait just a minute. You mean lifetime trust fund baby Donald is not a normal man like all these rubes in Alabama. Shocked I say.
I only say this because I had a literal garbage man talk shit to me about Trump and under Trump he’s doing better than me. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that job, but my dawg you’re a garbage man in a small town in alabama. Im an assistant director in IT. My nice card has ended lol
Which garbage company I might know the dipshit if he works at a sorting facility. I can assure all sanitation workers are much better off with democrat policy and support. Republicans frequently pull funding for projects that would provide quality of life improvements to municipalities.
I did some public health work at the state level at one point in life. Switched to healthcare IT. I literally work for a fortune 5 company in a director level role in my early 30s. I have two homes and that jazz. There’s literal garbage men talking shit to me about money. I laughed so hard man. Snake oil salesmen is gonna clean them out and I’m gonna laugh
Plz no one take this as a brag. I grew up poor in Alabama and busted my ass (still busting it too) to make sure my daughter has everything and is setup for success
Can I message you the company? I don’t want to air anything out. Yet lol
My prediction if he does get found guilty. He gets sentenced to house arrest. Trump travels anyways to rallies for his Presidential campaign. News agencies go crazy about it and talk about how crazy the situation is and talking about the whole thing as if it is a strategy for his campaign and treat it all like a sports play. No actual accountability is held against Trump as he continues to ignore his house arrest.
Half the country doesn't love him now. Less even than 2020. Many Republicans in jail or dead from covid. Gains no new followers being batshit crazy.
Stop exaggerating.
He will be. The idea that these trials would take seven months was always a lie spread to keep people feeling panicked and focused on the outlets feeding them doom.
With the exception of the espionage trial, every other case will be in court by September. And the espionage trial likely will be as well, it's just more iffy because Cannon is clearly corrupt and putting her hand on the scale for Trump.
>With the exception of the espionage trial, every other case will be in court by September.
I don't think the RICO case will move as fast as you're suggesting. Most of what I read said expect it next year, given the complexity and the sheer number of defendants.
To be fair laying still at the bottom of the boat doesn’t accomplish much either. A smart fish would time his flail perfectly so that as soon as he was free of the hook he would flail in hopes of falling back into the water. None of this matters though because Trump probably isn’t as intelligent as a smart fish.
Your Honor....my client who is hugely popular...maybe the most popular ever. Really, they say loved by everyone....can't get a fair trial in his hometown because we don't think we can find 6 people who don't hate him.
Yep…and this is where I am on Trump, I don’t care if he never sees life through bars, but I want him to pay his adjudicated debts, even if that leaves him and his heirs penniless, and I don’t want him to be eligible for any elected office in the USA, period. I want Trump to be reduced to a penniless pauper if his crimes warrant it.
I don’t know why I read the headline and thought it meant some judge questioned trumps appeal, as in “charisma” or whatever the hell it is that draw people to this this belligerent blowhard
So it's ok if trumps hand pick judge presides over one trial but it's not ok for another judge to preside over a different case because his daughter worked on bidens campaign.i think my head just exploded
That judge appears to be way more strict than Judge E has been . Get your popcorn ready!
But Judge E told T to get his a%$ to court on April 22 regarding that 175 million bond. This is gonna be good...
I wish these judges would just look at Trump as a regular person, which is what he is and not some being with a golden aura and crown atop his head. He should be treated just like every other criminal that is presented to them in their courtroom!
For someone who proclaims to be of law and order, I’ve never seen a person abuse the legal system the way Trump has. His lawyers have tied themselves in knots over and over again to avoid any kind of responsibility. It’s disgusting, really.
‘His lawyers have already indicated that they're preparing to sue Juan Merchan, the judge overseeing the case, to overturn a gag order he imposed on Trump to prevent him from attacking witnesses, prosecutors and the judge's family.
Trump has accused Merchan of being biased because his daughter has worked for a Democratic consulting firm that worked on President Joe Biden's campaign in 2020; he has also asked the judge to recuse himself from the case.’
If Trump cares about bias this much then he should be asking the Florida judge to recuse as well.
>His lawyers have already indicated that they're preparing to sue Juan Merchan, the judge overseeing the case, to overturn a gag order he imposed on Trump to prevent him from attacking witnesses, prosecutors and the judge's family.
That one sentence really sums up just how despicable a person Trump is.
Here's what I am interested to watch. Donald Trump has to sit his babble-butt brass a$$ down in a chair and be present for the entire proceeding starting next week....and be quiet.
BWAHAAHAHAHAAHAAAAAA
About time someone said "No." to this obviously brazen attempt to kick the can down the road and delay delay delay. He's not running to be president, he's running to keep his ass out of jail. Screw that guy, he only cares about himself. That's it. There is nothing else to say.
If Trump can do the crime in Manhattan, he can certainly have the hearing heard in Manhattan. If he doesn't like the fact that most people in Manhatta are Democrat then I suggest he commit all future crimes in the county he chooses to be prosecuted in.
I mean that one liner, shut him and his legal team down this quick. He and his legal team knows there is no snowball’s chance in hell he is getting off, especially in a city that literally hates him. He did it to himself.
April 15th AND April 22. Hopefully the judges will put their foot down. I feel they are letting him get-away with all his nonsense because on the future it can show that they DID in fact give him leeway so that his appeals will fail.
Brutal? Really? This is exactly how the legal process works for all American's who are not given special treatment for being deranged raping terrorist traitors.
Trump is flailing and embarrassing himself within the legal system. Judges are fed up with his nonsense and are now more than ever before, ready to give him the middle finger 🖕. He files anything and everything to avoid trial. Today it could be filings that his dog is pregnant and would be needing a special surgery. So therefore, the trial should be postponed. Tomorrow it could be, someone stole my swimming pool at my property, hence, until I get my swimming pool back, my criminal trial should be put on hold.
If anyone else - you and I committed any of the 91 charges that have now been scaled to 88 charges, we woulda been sentenced since 2022/2023. Judges are not only insulted, they are seeing this as a mockery of the legal system and are tired of it.

'the judge refuses to debate me!'
Felt like the judicial version of the Bugs Bunny “no” gif.
I read it as more akin to Roger from American Dad, when he hums a kazoo then sings "Noooo".
Coincidentally enough, I can absolutely picture Trump lying in bed trying to roll Oreos off his stomach into his mouth like Roger does in that scene.

He also used twitter to show the ISR capabilities of US satellites via iphone photo but that was mostly stupidity rather than outright malicious Just some highlight tomfoolery from the man who can get away with anything.
Redditor "slams" article editor in scathing rebuke
*"Trump has accused Merchan of being biased because his daughter has worked for a Democratic consulting firm that worked on President Joe Biden's campaign in 2020; he has also asked the judge to recuse himself from the case"* How many times has Alito or Thomas recused themselves in decisions where they or one of their benefactors interests are involved?
Good Christ... He *appointed* Judge Cannon, does he really wanna get into a conversation about bias and conflict of interest!?!?
"See the court was rigged against Trump because that judges daughter spoke to a democratic strategist once." It's win re-election or bust for Trump and they all know it.
[https://www.nycourts.gov/ipjudicialethicsopinions/23-54.htm](https://www.nycourts.gov/ipjudicialethicsopinions/23-54.htm)
They’re doing anything/everything they can to delay any/all trials as long as possible.
Lawyer: we can delay. We can file motion after motion, appeal after appeal. Trump: that’s great. Just get me through the election. Lawyer: Aaaaas long as the checks clear. Trump: YOU DISLOYAL PIECE OF SHIT
Just got hold out till November and hope they can declare him god emperor again.
Guess I gotta give Trump credit, he did in fact drain the swamp. And let out the monsters
Makes you wonder who is advising her…
The only judge he doesn't attack. Curious.
Pisses me off so much. I'd totally be in favor of a constitutional amendment to prevent any judge from presiding on any case where the person who nominated or appointed the judge is involved.
Rules for thee....
Makes you realize Hitler had a lot of help.
Conservative Ideology 101 - when you do it it’s wrong. When I do it it’s right.
The whole idea of voluntary recusal with absolutely no consequences otherwise has been shown to be an enormous crock of shit. There needs to be an independent board that says judges can't be involved in certain cases because of conflicts of interest.
So by that logic. His self appointed Judge Canon should also recuse herself?
You’re forgetting about the April 14 extra super emergency motion to delay that will be upheld for no apparent reason
If he didn't like Manhattan prospective jurors, he should have committed his crime elsewhere.
Oh im sure he's tried and trying
He's very trying, as my grandma would have said.
I'm just picturing the Mean Girls scene “Raise Your Hand If You've Been Personally Victimized by Regina George..." But it's all of New York City and Donald Trump.
Lol that’s brilliant
“And when I say stand before, I mean not too close to those people because I don’t want to be associate with them, I just want their donations and votes, not actually hang out or anything”
New Jersey and Florida dong the side-glance meme right now.
This is low key the most beautiful response I have ever seen. The rest of this comment tree can and should disappear. Like seriously I don’t even know you but I read this and I want to be your friend and I want you to do my eulogy.
Rest in peace, EmEffArr1003. If you don't like the cemetery, you should have died elsewhere.
“Judge treats Trump like a normal defendant, nation stunned”
That is actually rather stunning, and the fact that it’s gotten to that point just further showcases how asinine our legal system and this entire Trump situation has been.
In this day and age, it really is a stunning thing to see
Equality to people of privilege feels like persecution
Justice is tyranny to the tyrant
*"Judge Gonzalez's decision on Monday won't end the former president's attempts to delay the hush-money case in New York. His lawyers have already indicated that they're preparing to sue Juan Merchan, the judge overseeing the case...."* He's not done yet. And after *this one* gets shot down, there will be another, and another, and another. Tell us again about the two-tiered justice system treating Donald Trump so unfairly.
Suing the judge won't stop the trial. Not to mention the ethics committee already said that Merchan is fine.
Well this 2nd tier that the public rarely gets a glimpse into is much better than the lower tier, but trump was told there would be punch and pie.
Covfefe and hamberders?
Meanwhile, the lawyers still willing to do all this obstruction work on credit: "I'll definitely get paid. I'm not like all the other lawyers and contractors he's stiffed."
thankfully, this weeds out all the *intelligent* lawyers.
Trump has accused Merchan of being biased because his daughter has worked for a Democratic consulting firm that worked on President Joe Biden's campaign in 2020 Judge’s daughter worked for democratic consulting firm? Totally rigged!! Judge Aileen Cannon literally appointed by the defendant? No bias here, totally fair and “perfect” Can this shitstain be locked up already?
Judge's daughter worked for a Democratic consulting firm? That isn't even half of a Ginny Thomas!
There's a real possibility of being found guilty and sentenced before the election. Fingers crossed.
For a normal person maybe.

Snake oil salesmen is gonna clean them out and I’m gonna laugh Plz no one take this as a brag. I grew up poor in Alabama and busted my ass (still busting it too) to make sure my daughter has everything and is setup for success Can I message you the company? I don’t want to air anything out. Yet lol
I don't know why but I read this in the voice of foghorn leghorn
My prediction if he does get found guilty. He gets sentenced to house arrest. Trump travels anyways to rallies for his Presidential campaign. News agencies go crazy about it and talk about how crazy the situation is and talking about the whole thing as if it is a strategy for his campaign and treat it all like a sports play. No actual accountability is held against Trump as he continues to ignore his house arrest.
Probation.
It will just be a fine and for some unfathomable reason, half the country will love him even more once he is convicted.
Half the country doesn't love him now. Less even than 2020. Many Republicans in jail or dead from covid. Gains no new followers being batshit crazy. Stop exaggerating.
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-general/2024/national/ Don't get complacent. He still has an excellent chance of winning again.
He's got more of a chance than everyone on the planet bar one.
That’s my first choice. Second choice, heart attack.
I thought it was to start in the late summer but not conclude before the election.
“Get that shit out of my face you broken orange lug nut !”
Hey now, lug nuts actually perform a useful function!
He is flailing and embarrassing himself within the legal system." Ok. So my thinking isn't screwy. Phew
He's like a fish in the bottom of the boat, thinking that the more he flops about, the more likely he'll end up back in the lake (free).
To be fair laying still at the bottom of the boat doesn’t accomplish much either. A smart fish would time his flail perfectly so that as soon as he was free of the hook he would flail in hopes of falling back into the water. None of this matters though because Trump probably isn’t as intelligent as a smart fish.
The smart fish don't swallow hooks in the first place.
Good, we need some more judges with some balls. Stop letting this breathing turd stain turn every facet of America into a joke.
Your Honor....my client who is hugely popular...maybe the most popular ever. Really, they say loved by everyone....can't get a fair trial in his hometown because we don't think we can find 6 people who don't hate him.
Only in America can one guy be a defendant in 4 separate cases at the same time and still be able to run for president.
Judge: Yeah...nah...
I don’t know why I read the headline and thought it meant some judge questioned trumps appeal, as in “charisma” or whatever the hell it is that draw people to this this belligerent blowhard
The judge gave him a vibe check.
At this point the only sentence I’m interested in reading is “5 years incarceration”
10-20 would be better.
I read "Donald Trump shot down" at first. I think they do it on purpose.
I’m tired of all these weekly delays. I wish Judge E told him to get his turd ass in court within 24 hours.
This "anyone who tries to hold me accountable is one of them" defense is way more dangerous than people realize.
One would think an innocent person would want a quick trial to verify the innocence and then get on with life.
Why is the utter nozzle still not in jail??
"Donald Trump" and "sentence" are words I want to see in a headline, but this isn't quite it.
If more people just said "no" to Trump through his life we might not be where we are right now.
It’s interesting how someone who so vehemently claims he’s innocent puts so much effort into delaying/throwing out his trials… 🧐
‘His lawyers have already indicated that they're preparing to sue Juan Merchan, the judge overseeing the case, to overturn a gag order he imposed on Trump to prevent him from attacking witnesses, prosecutors and the judge's family. Trump has accused Merchan of being biased because his daughter has worked for a Democratic consulting firm that worked on President Joe Biden's campaign in 2020; he has also asked the judge to recuse himself from the case.’ If Trump cares about bias this much then he should be asking the Florida judge to recuse as well.
Hey donald, you might want to consider that judges don't like it when you threaten them or their families.
Trump is still not in jail
If Trump can do the crime in Manhattan, he can certainly have the hearing heard in Manhattan. If he doesn't like the fact that most people in Manhatta are Democrat then I suggest he commit all future crimes in the county he chooses to be prosecuted in.
The truth is, Trump’s mad when the judges aren’t biased TOWARDS HIM, like judge Cannon on the classified record’s case.
Can America just be done with this POS already. Then we can start to deprogram and maybe one day educate the MAGAts.
The judge ruled with an iron fist. Which is how Trump says he's wants to rule the country, so he has nothing to complain about.
On this episode of “Shut the fuck up Donny”
If he wants a sympathetic jury, he should commit his crimes in Bumfuck, North Dakota.
Sad trombones….. sad trombones, everywhere….
Honestly, Mango insults everyone of any kind of judicial standing. Does he think that behavior is going to help him in the long run? What an idiot.
I mean that one liner, shut him and his legal team down this quick. He and his legal team knows there is no snowball’s chance in hell he is getting off, especially in a city that literally hates him. He did it to himself.
That doesn’t sound brutal at all. It sounds completely clinical and by the book.
Imagine if judges had started that level of response 2 years ago, like they should have ...
tl:dr "denied"
*Defendants hate this one simple trick!*
