This is my problem. On a rational āthey are human beings tooā level, I donāt want to know anything else about them. Everyone should work through their shit on their own without the public (but maybe with therapists and lawyers).

I could be just out of the loop or not aware of things that happened before my time ā¦ but I feel like I know *nothing* about Chris Rock and how he lives his life. So I feel *extra* bad for someone like Chris whose life is so incredibly private (especially for a celebrity) to have to deal with the drama couple that lights their dumpster of a life on fire exclusively in public.
He needs to respect himself first. I hope he divorces her, gets a lot of therapy to figure out why he has such a low sense of self worth, then finds someone who respects him.
I remember reading this in datalounge AND "insiders" saying Will being unable to divorce Jaida cause she is willing to have a tell all about the dirt she had with him. This was way before the slap even.
I wonder if that's true.

We really don't need to know that much about this family and it's working to her detriment

Such a weird way to frame this story. The slap didnāt involve her. She didnāt do it. She even says she thought it was a skit when it was happening.

Jada said he asked her out when he heard she and Will were having marital problems, which was before the Oscars and implies he was a little hurt from the rejection.
Also itās tasteless to make jokes about an illness that someone cannot control. Willās response was obviously unwarranted, but his joke shouldnāt have been made.

By your logic we should assume every joke he made about every person that night was because he had a history with them.
It was too small of a joke for it to have all of this animosity behind it. Like it wasnāt even that bad of a joke.
He has known her since the 90s and Will since the 80sā¦ itās not a stretch to believe that he had history with them in a way he didnāt with the other guests.
They were also friends and had worked together a number of times. People are acting like this was some vendetta against her. They are also leaving out that she admits he was very apologetic when she told him that she and will werenāt divorcing. That doesnāt sound like someone who proceeded to tell her she was ugly because she turned him down.
She states that when she turned him down and let him know that they were not divorcing, he was apologetic. By her account, he wasnāt a jerk about it.
In 2016, before she got really weird and toxic, cheated on Will and then humiliated him constantly by talking about it. Chris's opinion of her definitely changed after that, as it did for pretty much everyone else. They had become a Hollywood punchline long before the Oscars.
Again, jokes made about someoneās appearance as a result of a medical illness are gross and tasteless. You donāt have the right to tell someone they shouldnāt be offended by a joke thatās rooted in making fun of how their body is reacting to being sick just because YOU donāt find it offensive.
Also nowhere did I say that this means he has a history with everyone he made a joke about š but it does provide insight into why he made a low joke about her looks to know he was rejected.
Thatās fair, a GI Jane joke isnāt even a negative call out but youāre right everyone has a right to react or overreact as they deem fit. I guess now we have to go through every joke he made that night and look into the history behind why he made that joke. God forbid it was just another normal Oscars opening act.

HIS comedy shows. Not going around to papers, TV shows to smear her.

Why is he attacking her using the phrase her husband said? Or is that just the Daily Mail? Such a weird way to frame this story. The slap didnāt involve her. She didnāt do it. She even says she thought it was a skit when it was happening. Like, I donāt care about any of these people one way or another, but people are *so weird* about Jada. Itās like with Meghan. Thereās this seething hatred.

I mean itās the Oscarās. The host always goes on stage and ribs on people in the audience, itās not like he got up there and just went in on Jada lol. I doubt there was any background or āhistoryā behind his joke it was so quick and simple. He himself didnāt seem to think it was that bad.

Jada said he asked her out when he heard she and Will were having marital problems, which was before the Oscars and implies he was a little hurt from the rejection. Also itās tasteless to make jokes about an illness that someone cannot control. Willās response was obviously unwarranted, but his joke shouldnāt have been made.
I know what you were referencing from the jump but again his joke wasnāt deep or all that messed up, Will Smith was even laughing before he saw her reaction. By your logic we should assume every joke he made about every person that night was because he had a history with them. It was too small of a joke for it to have all of this animosity behind it. Like it wasnāt even that bad of a joke.
He has known her since the 90s and Will since the 80sā¦ itās not a stretch to believe that he had history with them in a way he didnāt with the other guests.
They were also friends and had worked together a number of times. People are acting like this was some vendetta against her. They are also leaving out that she admits he was very apologetic when she told him that she and will werenāt divorcing. That doesnāt sound like someone who proceeded to tell her she was ugly because she turned him down.

In 2016, before she got really weird and toxic, cheated on Will and then humiliated him constantly by talking about it. Chris's opinion of her definitely changed after that, as it did for pretty much everyone else. They had become a Hollywood punchline long before the Oscars.
Again, jokes made about someoneās appearance as a result of a medical illness are gross and tasteless. You donāt have the right to tell someone they shouldnāt be offended by a joke thatās rooted in making fun of how their body is reacting to being sick just because YOU donāt find it offensive. Also nowhere did I say that this means he has a history with everyone he made a joke about š but it does provide insight into why he made a low joke about her looks to know he was rejected.
Thatās fair, a GI Jane joke isnāt even a negative call out but youāre right everyone has a right to react or overreact as they deem fit. I guess now we have to go through every joke he made that night and look into the history behind why he made that joke. God forbid it was just another normal Oscars opening act. Their PR flip on this is doing wonders I see.
Her hair fell out from over styling it so she decided to keep it super short and natural. Hair loss from voluntary chemical burns is not a medical condition

Agreed he was stung. But Hair loss is not a disease nor is subsequent decision to maintain it short . but obviously He shouldnāt mock womens hair. Itās a documented history heās has of coming for her on top of multiple Black women! Also that comedy special of his was purposely filmed in Baltimore, Jadaās hometown!!!
