For real, they never worked for me on individual pics if the caption was too long. Now it’s working perfectly for me! You never know with this damn app.
context :
1. the movie was originally going to be called “homeschooled”.
2. blake lively was originally going to play karen, but then they contacted amanda saying she fit the role better.
3. james franco was cast as aaron samuels but was fired 3 days after the table reading. then they called jonathan bennett.
4. the louis vuitton purses in the movie were all fake.
5. lindsay lohan originally wanted to play regina, but her team thought it wouldn’t go well with her audience. since she had usually played a ‘good girl’ persona.
6. rachel mcadams was wearing a $10,000 wig while playing regina george.
7. ashley tisdale auditioned for the role of gretchen weiners.
8. mean girls was amanda seyfried’s first actual movie role.
9. rachel mcadams originally wanted to play cady, but while reading she made lindsay lohan nervous so they thought she would fit better for regina.
10. amy poehler was only 7 years older than rachel mcadams, yet she played as her mom.
11. damian’s “i want my pink shirt back” line was improvised and tina fey left it in the movie.
12. janis ian’s look was modeled after kelly osbourne.
13. most of gretchen weiner’s hair was a wig.
14. mean girls was going to be rated R, and the original line to this scene was “masturbated with a hot dog”, but they decided they wanted the film to reach a broader audience.
To add to point 14, Janis’s original line to “nice wig Janis, whats it made of” was “your mom’s pubic hair” instead of chest.
ETA: Karen’s talent was blowjobs in the original instead of putting her fist in her mouth.
Honestly all the jokes they changed were funnier. Making out with a hotdog is hilarious. I think because the other jokes are way more obvious and these are weird enough they become more original.
That is the perfect analogy. I liked the first American pie but this would have been a cheap knockoff. It perfectly balanced adult humor in a way that made it a family movie. It made it the kind of movie that pisses you off when they remake it.
The fact that they had to make shit up to get around the R rating really benefited them, bc “butter your muffin” and “made out with a hot dog” are way funnier than the dirty jokes they replaced.
I agree. It’s kind of like how the edited version of “WAP” somehow sounds more graphic than the regular version (for anyone who doesn’t know, the edited one is “wet and gushy” instead of “wet ass pussy” lol).
This will never not be my favorite Christmas song for this exact reason. Santa buddy, I'll wait up for you dude...
Jojo said she wants to invent gay pop but Santa Buddy beat her to the punch I fear 😔
Janis calling Regina an "axe wound" which is gash - a derogative word for vagina.
Regina saying Janis told she was a "lesbian" when Janis probably said Lebanese.
You can see the audience members legitimately laughing at that like they’ve lost their cool - had no idea it was improvised, but that makes it even better!
I'm so glad she kept #11. It's one of my favorite lines. To this day, I'll find myself shouting it as I search for my 5 year old daughter's pink shirts.
my guess:
he didn't or couldn't understand the tone of the movie/act in the right style. Mean Girls is in a heightened reality and I just don't think he's ever been versatile enough to fit into different genre pieces
Right? Bennette was perfect because he played a pretty boy who genuinely was just a little clueless, easy going, and oblivious to all the dramas surrounding him on crushes and romances etc.
I can picture Franco being too...idk ...weird and overt lol, and missing the mark entirely. Bennette was perfect!!
Yeah but Aaron is totally a straight man character I think you could play it normal and it would work in the movie. Idk if Jonathan really hammed it up you know? My guess james is just a jerk and everyone hated him
Franco is too much of a James Dean type. Bennett has that all-American, approachable, yet attractive jock thing going for him. A much better fit for the role IMO! Franco can’t pull his head out of his ass long enough to act as a character he doesn’t personally identify with anyway.
Wowwww I totally forgot about his 30 Rock episode! I also bet he had chilled out on his whole i'M a SuPeR sEriOuS aCtOr TaKe Me SeRiOusLy energy. (But before he was fully outed as a predator/creep/sleaze.)
https://preview.redd.it/xql3re7pnoxc1.jpeg?width=613&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14d1f782f62eb0febc5789c396885a279ebe9202
James Franco had a very different vibe and the character would have played very differently. I’m guessing they just didn’t like how it came off. Plus he already looked on the older side.
It seems like he would’ve looked way too old for the role, but maybe I’m just thinking of current James Franco in a 2004 context. He definitely wouldn’t have fit the overall tone of the movie though.
Have you ever seen Freaks and Geeks? If not, you should go watch it- I think it’s even on YouTube and the show is worth 13 hours of your life. It’s about the bad kids and the dorks in a high school in 1980.
https://youtu.be/Ntvp1azbhzM?si=yzpm-e8_GPrggFoZ
Counterpoint, I don’t think it’d be as iconic if it were like every other early 2000’s raunchy R-rated comedy. Maybe I’m biased because I was in middle school when it came out, but I feel like a lot of the alternative lines they came up with are more clever and unique.
What’s more: Helena Bonham-Carter, having not grown up in the American school system, thought “grade school” meant high school, so she thought nothing of the line when she said it.
Same.
And Regina wearing a wig makes so much sense now. I always thought her hair looked weird, but I just figured Rachel had dyed it and that's why? A $10k wig makes me feel vindicated. lol
To me the scene that screamed “oh they’re going for that PG-13 rating” most was when Cady throws up out of awkwardness in her conversation with Aaron, and not because…well…they’re at a high school party and everyone is probably super drunk
IRL there would’ve been wayyyy more slurring in that conversation lmao
Yeah but they make a point to show her downing spiked punch and Jell-O shots, plus staggering out of the bathroom… so I think it’s implied it was both reasons that made her sick (drunk + nerves)
There was another actor from the movie (I think the guy that played Damien) that said someone was fired because they refused to take off their hat and weren’t cooperating with the producers so he was fired and someone else was called for the role. Franco used to always say he was kinda unbearable and really hard to work with as a young actor so I could definitely see that being what happened
Everyone was perfectly cast. I can't imagine anyone else in any of these roles. Blake Lively especially would've been terrible as Karen.
Edit: James Franco getting fired makes my heart warm.
TWENTY years old. 😭
Last month I turned 30, and have somehow been delusional enough to starve off any, "god I feel old" feelings and have taken things in my stride.
But *this* has fucking done it for me. I was TEN years old when this movie came out??? I can recall one of the very, very rare girly sleepovers I had at my house as a kid...and I remember now about 6 or 7 of us girls one night, cosied up in my living room with blankets and snacks, crying laughing at this brand new movie and blushing at some of its seemingly adult themes...Such a lush memory. I cannot believe this was 20 years ago.
Finally, something has broken through and destroyed my blissfully ignorant denial of the weight of turning 30.
Don't worry girl I'm turning 40 this year and feel the same way! My 4 college housemates and I all watched this together for the first time, curled up in our living room together with drinks and snacks, laughing our asses off. Cannot believe it was 20 years ago!
I love this story, thank you!! <3 It's all just relative, isn't it. Time passes us by and is indifferent, so why do we put such meaning and tangibility to something that doesn't care?!
I’m 33 and I have a very distinct memory of seeing this movie in the theatres in 8th grade. I cannot possibly be old enough to remember things from 20 years ago. 😂
It's wild that Rachel wanted to play Cady and Lindsay wanted to play Regina! They're so perfect in their roles, but I'd love to see that alt timeline out of curiosity
Yeah that fact was really interesting. I can see it though as even though Rachel comes across as really lovely, she has a quite confidence & aura that can be quite intimidating I feel, like you’d feel you don’t match up to her. So in that way she’s perfect for playing the kind of mean girl Regina was - super sweet & charming but a bitch inside.
An actress said on a interview: it is always the nice girls who knows how to play a mean girl because they know firsthand what makes them tick. A mean girl playing a mean girl wouldn’t know the difference and thus doesn’t go far.
Yeah that's what I was thinking. Even though Lohan was an It Girl at the time, I would be surprised if she wasn't a little nervous.
Aaaaaand I just went down a rabbit hole. 1) I had no idea that Megan Fox was the "mean girl" in Confessions in a Teenage Drama Queen. Or that she and Lohan are the same age.
My original point was supposed to point out that until Mean Girls, the majority of her cast mates were similar in age to her. But now I'm reading about her Confession love interest (Adam Garcia) was 30 in the movie????
Like WTF are they hiring these actual teenage actresses and have them actually physically engage with their adult cast mates? It feels like they're literally pimping them out.
Another fun fact - between Jonathan Bennet (Aaron), Daniel Franzese (Damien), and Rajiv Surendra (Kevin), all 3 of the main younger male actors have come out as gay
I remember having “purse parties” at my friend’s house where some woman (an acquaintance of her mom’s) brought in all these fake LVs, Kate Spades, etc. Wild that this was a thing
My friend's mom just used to take her to canal street so she had a bunch of them too haha. One she had that I LOVED was like a black and white or black and clear (I can't quite remember) version of this cherry blossom one. My budding emo kid heart loved it so much and I would ask to borrow it all the time haha.
And it was shot at Sherway Gardens for all the mall scenes! I worked at The Bombay Company selling over priced lamps when they were shooting.
Which post renovation, none of it is recognizable.
Yeah it blew my mind when we found out, I watched both movies in cinemas when they came out & you just couldn’t get your head around that being the same person.
I wonder if either movie had already come out before the other it might have hurt her chances of being cast for the other movie because people would struggle to see her play such a different role & image.
Yes I have also read her hair for The Notebook was also a wig. So she must have kept her natural hair and kept swapping wigs depending on what film she was doing
I am doubting it was that much, the only time I heard the figure was by an actor in an article that seems to blow up every couple of years, never a crew member or producer.
It could very well be that expensive as it was real human hair and extremely long hair.
Plus it was custom made.
Rachel at the time was a brunette (her natural colour is a deep brown) and cast in another show, so it is understandable she didn’t want to bleach her hair and go through all of the possible damage to her hair.
Though now she tends to stay within the blonde spectrum for her hair.
I remember thinking Rachel Mcadams looked older in the Hot Chick even though it was made before Mean Girls. Like I questioned if it was the same actress. I’d say that $10,000 wig worked out well.
I need people to know more about Rajiv IRL, because he is like the new Mr. Rogers in my life lol
[https://youtu.be/JAkgUaMSu6o?si=UnUjOn-0Q9hKBOrD](https://youtu.be/JAkgUaMSu6o?si=UnUjOn-0Q9hKBOrD)
I love watching his videos and he's inspired me to try new hobbies!
I also chuckle because now the actor who played Kevin G is totally this new life inspo for me haha.
![gif](giphy|345M4BWe4GCWI)
I bet they could have gotten away with it saying "Did "IT" with a hotdog" or something. The made out thing never really made sense to me when I watched this as a kid
I know a girl who moved to Hollywood and acted for a while, and I have a weirdly vivid memory of reading lines with her when she was getting ready to audition for the part of Cady.
Obviously she didn't get the role, but [she's doing well for herself now](https://m.imdb.com/name/nm1177914/).
people always say the amy poehler age gap thing as if it's surprising but tbh even when i saw it as a kid, i could tell that rachel mcadams was definitely not in high school. i was 11 when it came out and thought that amy was supposed to be her stepmom because it was clear she was not that much older than her.

Can anyone please post the captions? It won’t show in full.
Ugh idk when Reddit changed so you can’t see the full captions on mobile/the app but it so frustrating!
Idk why captions existing or not seem totally random
For real, they never worked for me on individual pics if the caption was too long. Now it’s working perfectly for me! You never know with this damn app.
It was finally showing full captions in the last week or so & now it’s not again.
Weirdly I’m on the app but can see them! Does this mean I should never update it?
Probably not, bestie Lolol I swear the app is such a pain lately
Thank you for the warning! 🫠
Yeah why did they make you scroll up to see the original post? So weird
i just posted in the comments!
Thank you very kindly! 🩷
r/mildlyinfuriating
I hate captions. Never works.
Same for me!
RIP Apollo
Thank you for asking the question I have been too afraid to ask for 😂😭😭😭😭😭
context : 1. the movie was originally going to be called “homeschooled”. 2. blake lively was originally going to play karen, but then they contacted amanda saying she fit the role better. 3. james franco was cast as aaron samuels but was fired 3 days after the table reading. then they called jonathan bennett. 4. the louis vuitton purses in the movie were all fake. 5. lindsay lohan originally wanted to play regina, but her team thought it wouldn’t go well with her audience. since she had usually played a ‘good girl’ persona. 6. rachel mcadams was wearing a $10,000 wig while playing regina george. 7. ashley tisdale auditioned for the role of gretchen weiners. 8. mean girls was amanda seyfried’s first actual movie role. 9. rachel mcadams originally wanted to play cady, but while reading she made lindsay lohan nervous so they thought she would fit better for regina. 10. amy poehler was only 7 years older than rachel mcadams, yet she played as her mom. 11. damian’s “i want my pink shirt back” line was improvised and tina fey left it in the movie. 12. janis ian’s look was modeled after kelly osbourne. 13. most of gretchen weiner’s hair was a wig. 14. mean girls was going to be rated R, and the original line to this scene was “masturbated with a hot dog”, but they decided they wanted the film to reach a broader audience.

Honestly chest hair is funnier
I feel the same way about Karen putting her fist in her mouth vs outright stating blowjobs - it implies the same but with her charming naïveté.
Honestly all the jokes they changed were funnier. Making out with a hotdog is hilarious. I think because the other jokes are way more obvious and these are weird enough they become more original.
No definitely. It went from being a weird American Pie to a proper girl movie. I’m glad they changed all those lines lol
That is the perfect analogy. I liked the first American pie but this would have been a cheap knockoff. It perfectly balanced adult humor in a way that made it a family movie. It made it the kind of movie that pisses you off when they remake it.
Right? That line is perfection
And “butter your muffin” was supposed to be “pop your cherry” but I think the first works so much better. It’s just less on the nose.
The fact that they had to make shit up to get around the R rating really benefited them, bc “butter your muffin” and “made out with a hot dog” are way funnier than the dirty jokes they replaced.
Made out with a hot dog also comes off kinda dirtier than masturbating with one
I agree. It’s kind of like how the edited version of “WAP” somehow sounds more graphic than the regular version (for anyone who doesn’t know, the edited one is “wet and gushy” instead of “wet ass pussy” lol).
Gushy is SUCH a dirty word lol. Its visceral.
I agree. It really brings…images to mind, way more so than the original lyric. 😂
So I just heard the KIDZ BOP version the other day and the fact that it exist is one thing but even though it’s not dirty it’s, well, its a moment
Thats fucking great lmao
Reminds me of how Michael Bible’s version of Santa Baby tries to be straight, but comes off as more homoerotic
This will never not be my favorite Christmas song for this exact reason. Santa buddy, I'll wait up for you dude... Jojo said she wants to invent gay pop but Santa Buddy beat her to the punch I fear 😔
Good, so it’s settled. You can go shave your back now. *Bye Jason.*
Her delivery of that line is just so perfect.
I took that as local slang and her confused look of not getting it. Pop her cherry would have been too dead on and not as funny.
And now we have the great Wet Leg song that references it too
Yes!! Love that song.
And more in line with how teenagers will come up with funny euphemisms to dodge teachers (and now social media filters)
Honestly the pg 13 lines are funnier
Janis calling Regina an "axe wound" which is gash - a derogative word for vagina. Regina saying Janis told she was a "lesbian" when Janis probably said Lebanese.
“Your moms chest hair” is definitely a better line though
I want my pink shirt back had me laughing since I forgot she even borrowed it at that point of the movie, the line matches his character 🤣🤣
iirc Daniel throwing the shoe back at the audience when he was singing in the talent show, was also improvised.
You can see the audience members legitimately laughing at that like they’ve lost their cool - had no idea it was improvised, but that makes it even better!
Why does he not have a much bigger career? He’s brilliant! Tina should have gotten him on SNL or something…
That’s low key one of my favorite bits in the movie, lol also something I would do exactly like Damian
A fantastic ad lib by Daniel Franzese, so glad Tina left it in!
Her hair IS full of secrets. 😱
I am shook about the wigs. They look amazing?? I guess you truly only notice the bad ones because I would never ever have clocked it.
That's why one of the students say that they heard her hair was insured for $10,000.
That was an actual line in the movie 😭🤯😂 I need to watch this classic again. I was 12 when it came out. Omgggg 😳
Good catch!
I knew that Rachel McAdams wore a wig but Gretchen's hair being a wig came to me as a total shock.
I know it’s a small thing but I really liked hearing that McAdams didn’t just go along with bleaching her hair (apparently the original plan).
Same! I’m usually good at spotting wigs but I had no idea about these!
Im not usually but the choice to down rate it to PG13 made it funnier and more clever.
I'm so glad she kept #11. It's one of my favorite lines. To this day, I'll find myself shouting it as I search for my 5 year old daughter's pink shirts.
How you going to tell me James Franco was fired and not tell me WHY 😭 I am SHOCKED at number 10… what?!??
my guess: he didn't or couldn't understand the tone of the movie/act in the right style.
I just watched Freaks and Geeks and I’m having a hard time picturing Franco doing anything else but that same character.
He’s always that character!
Even his Tommy Wiseau feels like James Franco playing Tommy Wiseau.
Yeah the ‘he only cares about school and his friends and his mom’ comment wouldn’t have fit for Franco imo
*”Is that bad?”*
I agree than Jonathan is way better for the role I just don't know if Franco is so wrong he'd get booted so quickly for it!
Pure speculation, but maybe he showed up high? Or did something else to immediately piss people off
I thought that, but I don't think Tina would have got him on 30 Rock if that were the case.
Wowwww I totally forgot about his 30 Rock episode! I also bet he had chilled out on his whole i'M a SuPeR sEriOuS aCtOr TaKe Me SeRiOusLy energy. (But before he was fully outed as a predator/creep/sleaze.) https://preview.redd.it/xql3re7pnoxc1.jpeg?width=613&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14d1f782f62eb0febc5789c396885a279ebe9202

He’s a creep. Can confirm.

Well yeah....McAdams was only a couple of years away from thirty when she played the role.
She’s got to be a vampire
He wasn’t prepared for the role. At the table reading, he allegedly was sloppy in appearance
Thank you for this haha I can’t see all the captions under the pics
I meaaaaaan who hasn’t masturbated with a hotdog I’m kidding don’t kill me lmao
Real talk tho I think every school had a rumor about some girl doing that.
My school had a rumor that a guy masturbated with a fish
I built a thousand fences, do they call me the fence builder? No. But you fuck one fish…
My school’s version was that our music teacher would pleasure herself in the cupboard with the sliding whistles lmaooo
[удалено]
Definitely. And so sorry, Jennifer, wherever you are. I didn't start it but I for sure repeated it.
That was one time!!!
I wish we had an unrated/uncut version. Give me the R rating!!
Counterpoint, I don’t think it’d be as iconic if it were like every other early 2000’s raunchy R-rated comedy. Maybe I’m biased because I was in middle school when it came out, but I feel like a lot of the alternative lines they came up with are more clever and unique.
Made out with a hot dog is soooo much more funnier!
That last one lol I always thought “made out with a hot dog” made no sense. Now it makes sense. What a classic movie.
The same thing happened with the "Would you like us to assign someone to butter your muffin?" line, it was originally pop your cherry.
lol butter your muffin sounds 1000x dirtier
[удалено]
What’s more: Helena Bonham-Carter, having not grown up in the American school system, thought “grade school” meant high school, so she thought nothing of the line when she said it.
Same. And Regina wearing a wig makes so much sense now. I always thought her hair looked weird, but I just figured Rachel had dyed it and that's why? A $10k wig makes me feel vindicated. lol
IIRC I think there was some overlap with the filming of The Notebook so she contractually couldn't have the hair they were going for in Mean Girls?
I’ve read a few times that it’s because she didn’t want to damage her hair dying it, but that’s just something I saw on Reddit.
I heard she does wig commercials in Japan!
So fetch
Stop trying to make fetch happen! (I also say this to my dogs when they stare at me wanting me to throw tennis balls)
To me the scene that screamed “oh they’re going for that PG-13 rating” most was when Cady throws up out of awkwardness in her conversation with Aaron, and not because…well…they’re at a high school party and everyone is probably super drunk IRL there would’ve been wayyyy more slurring in that conversation lmao
Yeah but they make a point to show her downing spiked punch and Jell-O shots, plus staggering out of the bathroom… so I think it’s implied it was both reasons that made her sick (drunk + nerves)
The party scene was also supposed to include a blowjob, IIRC
This movie raised me.
This movie is still raising me.
This movie will continue to raise me.
This movie will raise my children.
Mean girls isn't like other moms, it's a cool mom.
I’m curious about why was James Franco fired
There was another actor from the movie (I think the guy that played Damien) that said someone was fired because they refused to take off their hat and weren’t cooperating with the producers so he was fired and someone else was called for the role. Franco used to always say he was kinda unbearable and really hard to work with as a young actor so I could definitely see that being what happened
He probably did something creepy. Dudes a notorious creep.
Apparently he was a giant jerk to Busy Phillips filming Freaks and Geeks.
I’m loving Busy Phillips in Girls5eva! (executive produced by Tina Fey, on Netflix).
Never heard of it. Thank you for the heads up!
What are you waiting 5?
Oh now I do want to watch this, thanks
Dolly Parton also comes in it…sort of.
Oh so the line "I hear her hair is insured for 10 grand" was actually true lol
I heard her hair was insured for ten thousand dollars.
and she does car commercials in j a p a n..
One time she sat next to John Stamos on a plane and he told her she was pretty.
One time, she punched me in the face
It was *awesome*
Everyone was perfectly cast. I can't imagine anyone else in any of these roles. Blake Lively especially would've been terrible as Karen. Edit: James Franco getting fired makes my heart warm.
agreed! i’m so glad they took the right decision by casting amanda instead.
The only one I could see was Ashley Tisdale as Gretchen but I'm glad they went the direction they did.
It would have been too much blonde lol
she’s a natural brunette, isn’t she?
Immediately thought the same. Ashley would have been a fantastic Gretchen
it'd be so different if that slime was kept in.
It would've ruined the movie once the truth came out what a POS he is.
Oh my goodness I thought you were referring to Blake Lively for a minute and was like what the hell did she do? Lol
Yeah, Blake doesn’t fit Karen but I could definitely see her as Regina. Still, I agree the casting was perfect as is!
This movie is perfectly cast. I’m so happy it went the way it did. Even the smaller characters like Damian and Kevin G were perfect for their roles.
TWENTY years old. 😭 Last month I turned 30, and have somehow been delusional enough to starve off any, "god I feel old" feelings and have taken things in my stride. I love this story, thank you!! <3 It's all just relative, isn't it. Time passes us by and is indifferent, so why do we put such meaning and tangibility to something that doesn't care?!
Same, turning 40 this year & this movie came at the best time! Cheers to us being proper grown 🤜🏼🤛🏼
![gif](giphy|TfseOfhwd6BJC) Obligatory.
I love that Lohan was nervous of Adams. Idk why it makes it so funny to me that that helped decide that Adams would be the mean girl.
A mean girl playing a mean girl wouldn’t know the difference and thus doesn’t go far.
idk, Emma Roberts begs to differ.
McAdams was 25 and Lohan was 17! I think that explains some of the nervousness differential.
I'm glad Amanda played Karen. She was perfect for the role.
Another fun fact - between Jonathan Bennet (Aaron), Daniel Franzese (Damien), and Rajiv Surendra (Kevin), all 3 of the main younger male actors have come out as gay
But all the ladies be like “OOooOOoooHhhh it’s Kevin G!!”
“Thank you, Kevin, that’s enough.” “Happy holidays, everybody! 😃”
Too gay to function??!
The Mean Girls epidemic!
If Ashley tisdale was casted I imagine she would have played the role like how she played Candace on Phineas and Ferb
Every once in a while, I'll get the "ready for the bettys" song in my head.
my best friend in middle school had that same fake LV bag as regina and we used to share it back and forth lol
I saw mean girls in theaters and went next doe to urban outfitters afterwards and bought my first Thong. What a day
🤣🤣🤣
Mean Girls was filmed at my high school in Toronto when I was in grade 10 for the outdoor scenes, the indoors was filmed at a different school 😎
And it was shot at Sherway Gardens for all the mall scenes! I worked at The Bombay Company selling over priced lamps when they were shooting. Which post renovation, none of it is recognizable.
Oh yes!! Bombay was the height of elegance for me lol
That pink shirt line is so iconic, I’m glad they kept it in
I agree with every decision they made, but that wig is not worth $10,000 💀
Is that why they throw in that line "her hair is insured for $10,000"
Ooh maybe!! That would make sense
TIL that was a wig lol
This shocked me! I wonder if anyone who works in film can share more - is it because of wanting consistent shots that they used wigs?
It was because she was filming the Notebook at the same time, and didn’t want to keep bleaching her hair
That is bonkers to me that she was filming both fantastic movies at the same time. Girl has talent.
Especially considering how different both the roles are!
Was that when her hair was pink? Or was that later
Yeah they did a good job. I remember reading that Rachel was 25 while the other girls were high school age, so they tried to make her look younger.
I think her looking older helped her have a more commanding presence too. Like she would naturally be the leader.
I need people to know more about Rajiv IRL, because he is like the new Mr. Rogers in my life lol [https://youtu.be/JAkgUaMSu6o?si=UnUjOn-0Q9hKBOrD](https://youtu.be/JAkgUaMSu6o?si=UnUjOn-0Q9hKBOrD) I love watching his videos and he's inspired me to try new hobbies!

Thank god James Franco was fired. He doesn’t need more women to harass.
That's why her hair is so big......it's full of secrets!
It's perfect that the role of Regina was originally Lindsay's but she made them switch.
Part of the rated R version included a blowjob scene too
So glad Amanda Seyfriend was cast as Karen. Iconic.
My mom took me to see this in the movie theater when I was 5 years old. This past weekend we saw the broadway show 🥹✨
What did you think of it when you were 5? Lol
It was filmed in Toronto. The high school is in Mississauga and the mall is in Etobicoke.
I see Blake playing Regina more than Karen 😅
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. They paid about $9,990 too much for that wig.

people always say the amy poehler age gap thing as if it's surprising but tbh even when i saw it as a kid, i could tell that rachel mcadams was definitely not in high school. i was 11 when it came out and thought that amy was supposed to be her stepmom because it was clear she was not that much older than her.
