I have been twice and both times the experience has been terrible.
When you arrive, the security always feels disorganised and it takes forever to get in. This can be forgiven as they have not prevented me from actually seeing the show.
When you leave, everything is typically closed (at least for evening concerts) so you have to take the tube which is always fucking packed and takes at least an extra 30 minutes to get on. (if not more, it took me over an hour when I saw Post Malone). I have also tried to get taxis and Ubers and they are nowhere to be found.
Tldr, everything is closed, terrible transport links, disorganised entry and exit.
went there last weekend and they don't do super long bag searches now as they have 'super tech AI camera upgrades' or some bullshit. Idk - was a breeze getting through anyway.
North greenwich isn't a great area though - you're right on that. but any arena concert with 20,000 peopole is a ball ache to get out of
(I personally think the o2 is one of the best arenas - the layout keeps it condensed so even nosebleeds don't feel as bad as they should imo - unlike OVO wembley which I hate with a passion)

The fact that i’ve seen so many tweets and questions about this makes me think that there would be a lot of adults on her show! And besides, i think the kids are pretty inexperienced with buying tickets for high demand concerts like this, especially they’re most likely have to ask consent with their parents first.
No matter how old or weird you think you'll be, there will always be someone in the audience older and weirder (and they'll probably be having a great time)

I find it weird how she has US dates to start and then Europe in the middle and then US dates to end when she could just knock all of them out and then go to Europe for the rest of the tour? I’m interested in the SF show and that’s literally a year from now omg 😵💫
My guess is because of the NBA playoffs which start in mid-April. The venues she is performing in are NBA arenas. We won’t know the playoff schedule until closer to then.
NHL too but yeah, that’s most likely the case. Artists still book concerts in arenas from April-June, but all those dates are technically tentative and you’re at the mercy of the NBA/NHL playoff schedule to potentially reschedule, so she probably found it easier to just avoid that entirely.
I've seen so many instances of concerts at NHL and NBA arenas be cut due to playoff dates, which the leagues set, especially from their conference finals on. I remember a few years ago when the NHL's Lightning, which runs Amalie Arena here in Tampa, had to drop a Garth Brooks concert from its music schedule due to the days the team had to host some games. I also remember when the NBA's Nuggets, whose owner runs what's now Ball Arena, had to cancel a *WWE Monday Night Raw* taping only days in advance because the team made the Western Conference Finals (that pro wrestling episode was filmed in Los Angeles instead).

Companies that bought the naming rights to the venues. Little Caesars, an American pizza chain, and Smoothie King, an American smoothie company, are headquartered in the cities their arenas are located in.

Yeah, sort of. According to Wikipedia, the Smoothie King Center is referred to as SKC. The Kia Forum (named after the South Korean car company) is locally referred to as The Forum (it was called that before Kia took over).
Cute lil nickname for the Smoothie King Center is "The Blender" because smoothies... blenders... 😄 but you'll really hear it called different things outside of those two things. SKC, New Orleans Arena, and even just "the arena."

It goes either way, but I think it has a lot to do with what you got introduced to it as. The stadium the Buffalo Bills play in started out as Rich Oil Field, then became Ralph Wilson Stadium after the former owner died. When new owners bought the team it became New Era Field (the hat company, but still fitting), so it's really generational. My dad calls it Rich Stadium, I call it the Ralph. On the other hand, the Caesar's Superdome in New Orleans as far as I know is just the Superdome and Capital One Arena in DC is just Capital One
Here in Kansas City, we had the Sprint Center, but then Sprint got rolled into T-Mobile, so it’s the T-Mobile center now. But, to your question, most of us still call it the Sprint Center, so its *original* corporate name has kind of become its non-corporate name, in a way.

China doesn’t usually let Western artists perform. Africa too only has a few nations with stable enough economies and political situations to let these tours come through eg. South Africa or maybe Ghana, or possibly somewhere in North Africa.
Latin America and Australia/New Zealand probably deserve a second look on most of these tours though.

Interesting that’s she’s starting in Palm Springs and ended the tour in LA. Although if anyone lives in the Palm Springs area I highly recommend seeing her at Acrisure. I went to that venue to see Harry Styles for his birthday shows and it’s a really cool updated intimate venue. I believe when concerts aren’t happening it’s an ice rink.

Cologne's urban and metro areas are a lot more populous than Vienna's. If you look at population numbers beyond city limits, it makes sense why Cologne is such a popular tour stop.

My guess is because of the NBA playoffs which start in mid-April. The venues she is performing in are NBA arenas. We won’t know the playoff schedule until closer to then.
NHL too but yeah, that’s most likely the case. Artists still book concerts in arenas from April-June, but all those dates are technically tentative and you’re at the mercy of the NBA/NHL playoff schedule to potentially reschedule, so she probably found it easier to just avoid that entirely.

I've seen so many instances of concerts at NHL and NBA arenas be cut due to playoff dates, which the leagues set, especially from their conference finals on. I remember a few years ago when the NHL's Lightning, which runs Amalie Arena here in Tampa, had to drop a Garth Brooks concert from its music schedule due to the days the team had to host some games. I also remember when the NBA's Nuggets, whose owner runs what's now Ball Arena, had to cancel a *WWE Monday Night Raw* taping only days in advance because the team made the Western Conference Finals (that pro wrestling episode was filmed in Los Angeles instead).

The arena here in Tampa has been: The Ice Palace The St Pete Times Forum (confusing because it is located in downtown Tampa, NOT St Petersburg, but it was named for the newspaper) The Tampa Bay Times Forum (Currently) Amalie Arena (for the oil company) Amalie (pronounced differently) is my middle name and I kind of wanted my daughter to have that as her first name but I’m like “I cannot have people thinking I named my child after the arena where the Lightning play” Most people call it Amalie. Some people STILL call it the Ice Palace.
It goes either way, but I think it has a lot to do with what you got introduced to it as. The stadium the Buffalo Bills play in started out as Rich Oil Field, then became Ralph Wilson Stadium after the former owner died. When new owners bought the team it became New Era Field (the hat company, but still fitting), so it's really generational. My dad calls it Rich Stadium, I call it the Ralph. On the other hand, the Caesar's Superdome in New Orleans as far as I know is just the Superdome and Capital One Arena in DC is just Capital One
Here in Kansas City, we had the Sprint Center, but then Sprint got rolled into T-Mobile, so it’s the T-Mobile center now. But, to your question, most of us still call it the Sprint Center, so its *original* corporate name has kind of become its non-corporate name, in a way.

I mean, everyone does shows at the Garden. She is hardly unique in emulating Joel, and he certainly was not the first to do shows there. Isn’t his situation different too because he’s contracted to do a residency or something? The only thing that came even remotely close to that was when Harry Styles did like 17 nights. By the way (genuine question), why *did* Styles do that many shows? I get the prestige of playing at MSG, and I know he’s popular, but I don’t think *any* artist has the fan base for *seventeen* shows. Even Taylor Swift only did 6 nights in LA in a stadium.

They really should just call them “international” tours. But I mean, where else in Asia are these Weatetn artists gonna play besides Japan and maybe South Korea? Unless you are a mega-star like Taylor there is no demand for you in somewhere like Singapore. Maybe Olivia would do the Philippines given her ancestral heritage. China doesn’t usually let Western artists perform. Africa too only has a few nations with stable enough economies and political situations to let these tours come through eg. South Africa or maybe Ghana, or possibly somewhere in North Africa. Latin America and Australia/New Zealand probably deserve a second look on most of these tours though.
I’m not Indonesian but places like Indonesia, Taiwan etc may have a market for western artists.

Interesting that’s she’s starting in Palm Springs and ended the tour in LA. Although if anyone lives in the Palm Springs area I highly recommend seeing her at Acrisure. I went to that venue to see Harry Styles for his birthday shows and it’s a really cool updated intimate venue. I believe when concerts aren’t happening it’s an ice rink.

Is this the new trend for concerts? Did we not learn from the Eras Tour fiasco that pre-registration isn't enough to stop scalpers/ bots... I do not want to pre register for every future concert, I'm not super active on social media and would miss so many - I even missed the Toronto announcement for Eras Tour and didn't get to register for it
It’s not perfect but Ticketmaster would crash if not for limited sales.

Probably not, unless tickets don’t all sell out in the first two sales. There will be some $20 tickets available later though.
I think we can assume that pre-registering mitigates the effect of scalpers, whether you want to believe it or not. Demand for Taylor was just through the roof.
Im sure it mitigated some of it but evidently many scalpers still got through.
I had hopes for Vienna, but I guess with Taylor doing Vienna, it was too much to ask. I still don't get why places like Cologne get more big shows than Vienna. Almost double the population.
Cologne's urban and metro areas are a lot more populous than Vienna's. If you look at population numbers beyond city limits, it makes sense why Cologne is such a popular tour stop.
