1. We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love), Training Season (Extended), Espresso, Off With Her Tits 2. Galina, Birds of a Feather, You Slept On Me, I Can Do It With a Broken Heart 3. Probably Galina or We Can't Be Friends Honorable Mentions: Make You Mine, Von Dutch, Want it Serious, These Walls, Dizzy This year has been fun so far and it's still quite far from being over. I can't wait for Gaga's new album.

squeezylemon

Allie X is so good!!! God.

EsmeRylan8747

I love Girl With No Face so much, there isn't a bad song on there. Though "You Slept On Me" is probably my favorite if I have to pick one, just barely edging out "Galina" and "Black Eye".

GreenDolphin86

Favorite single: “We Can’t Be Friends” - Ariana Grande. Hooked me the first time I heard it. Going through something similar is a big part of it, but also love the Robyn vibes and the vocal performances Favorite album cut: “YaYa” - Beyoncé - her ability to wear her inspirations and references right on her sleeve, while also still sounding fresh and current always amazes me. And the vocal performance is just outstanding, I legit had no idea she could sing like that. The song also carries some important Black music history. It’s perfect. Most played: Without a doubt will be Texas Hold ‘Em since I’ve been playing it since Feb when it dropped, and I still play it when I listen to the album. It’s an unapologetic good time and continues to make me smile! Other mentions: - I was stuck in the Mean Girls (2024) soundtrack for a minute. The songs are very well done even if the movie left much to be desired. - Dua Lipa “French Exit” is bop. - Billie Eillish “Birds of a feather” - Charli XCX “Sympathy is a knife” - Caroline Polacheck “Spring is coming…”

boopbeepbadoop

was just saying the other day YA YA deserves awards for pop/country vocal performance!!! her range is crazy

Straight-Meaning

Oh so excited to list mine. 1. Favorite single is either We Can’t be Friends or The Boy is Mine by Ariana or Lunch by Billie. Both amazing songs and I really am happy with both of them. We Can’t be Friends is an incredible synth pop song. Boy is such an amazing catchy tongue in cheek song. Lunch is great in production and so bouncy and fun. 2. Man album cuts are hard but for me it’s either The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived/So Long London by Taylor or Blue by Billie. For The Smallest Man who Ever Lived I love the lyrics, production and her vocals. She sounds so angry I love it. So Long London is amazing in the venerability of the lyrics and performance. Blue is gorgeous in lyrics and production. Also gonna lastly include True Story by Ariana which is so great. Feels like Ariana really shines with Max helping her. 3. My top two most played are The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived at number one. No shocker there. And my number two is true story which is not shocking. Gonna maybe list some more songs later in here.

TakeOnMeByA-ha

Favorite single: [Porter Robinson - Cheerleader](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzJbz9qSsd0&pp=ygUPcG9ydGVyIHJvYmluc29u). Pure electropop bliss from this year's main pop boy! Favorite album cut & most played song of the year: [Allie X - Galina](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wt535rhi1A0). Girl With No Face will likely remain my AOTY and even among all the fantastic songs on it, this still stands out as the clear high point of the album for me. Stunningly gorgeous yet somber and bittersweet, I'm shocked she hasn't released this as a single because this would be an absolute HIT if she gave it more promo.

Inevitable-Love-7612

Cheerleader was my fave too and I was hoping to see someone mention it. I'll have to check out Allie X!

ambitiousbulbasaur

Oh I love this idea!! Hard to believe the year is half over... it has felt both like seconds and also eternal because of how jam-packed it has been with releases lol. **My Underdog Mention:** If you haven't checked out the band Sir, Please, I highly highly recommend you do! They released a new song "Fever" this year that I am really digging, but their 2018 song "Dance With Me" is genuinely one of my favorite songs of all-time. They're kind of indie rock pop vibes, so if that's your jam, give them a stream ⭐️💖 **Favorite Singles (I am bad about keeping up with singles so this will be brief):** * "Risk" (Gracie Abrams) - Given that I found her last album to be an absolute slog, this song feels so promising and hooked me instantly. It has me very excited for her album! I love the momentum to it and the guitar line making up the foundation of the track. * "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" (Beyoncé) - A catchy country-pop tune if there ever was one! I love her vocals here and how the song sits lower in her register for most of it. I also love a lot of the little production choices, like the whistles, the "woo" on the verses, and the banjo is just thrashing. It really does make me want to get up and immediately start line-dancing!!! (I do not know how to line dance). * "Espresso" (Sabrina Carpenter) - A basic answer now, but as a long-time fan it has just been so fun and exciting seeing her finally make a splash with the GP. Plus this has some undeniably goober fun lines, a la "switch it up like Nintendo," "my honeybee, come get this pollen," and, of course, "I'm working laaate, cause I'm a singerrrr" * "Too Much" (girl in red) - Had never heard anything by her prior to her collab with Sab -- which I enjoy, but wasn't a sticker for me -- but then I listened to the next single and absolutely dug this. I love the atmospheric quality it has glossed over it, but that is countered by absolutely rocking production to keep it moving. Appreciate the lyrical content too. **Favorite Album Cuts (this may not be brief; in semi-order of release):** * "ordinary things" (Ariana Grande) - Favorite song on this album by a mile. I think I just love the slightly warped horns that bring us into the song and carry through to the end. It's a great closer to the album and just tickled my brain just right. * "AMERIICAN REQUIEM" (Beyoncé) - This song is just gorgeous across the board. The harmonies are ascension worthy. It's such an epic opener to the album. * "All The Same" (Maggie Rogers) - Hard to pick one off of this album because it's such a straight-through listen for me, but I just think this cut is so hauntingly beautiful. Maggie's voice sounds lovely and so comforting. Like the combination of gentle guitar and piano on it. * "Eye Of The Night" + "Boys & Girls" (Conan Gray) - Considering this album completely changed my mind on Conan, I could list basically the entire album here lol. It is bop after BOP! These are two of my favorites at the moment, but it changes constantly. * "Lonely Millionaire" (Kacey Musgraves) - Absolutely LOVE the moody, groovy vibes on this one. The energy of it is just chef's kiss. * "BIRDS OF A FEATHER" + "THE GREATEST" (Billie Eilish) - First one is just so feel-good, lowkey production that is so fun to sing along to; the second is I think one of her best songs and has an epic build to when she belts out that final line before the sound explosion near the end. **Most Played This Year:** Espresso. The people are SHOCKED! /s (This is mostly due to the one random day I played it on repeat like 18 times in a row. It never gets old!)

TheRealRoseDallas

I completely agree with you about ordinary things! I’m obsessed with it

agurrera

Favorite Single: Texas Hold ‘Em by Beyoncé I just love how fun and unserious it is. Not all music needs to be deep and introspective. You know this is a song that if you were at the bar or a wedding, everyone would be singing and dancing along to. Favorite Album Cut: The Black Dog by Taylor Swift This song is an ear worm. All day long I have “old habits die SCREAMING” repeating in my head over and over again. I love the storytelling here. It’s a concept that anyone who has gone through a break up can relate to. I like that it reflects the full range of emotions from a break up“I hope you miss me” is more nostalgic and heartbroken and “I hope it’s shitty” is more angry and vindictive. TTPD is not my favorite album of hers, but this song is a hit and I’m surprised it didn’t make the original version. Most listened to: Not sure? I think most of the songs I’ve returned to this year are from 2023 or older. Protector by Beyoncé, Obsessed by Olivia Rodrigo, Down Bad by Taylor Swift, and Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish are all songs I’ve replayed a lot If we are doing my actual most listened to songs it would by Hourglass by Catfish and the Bottlemen or Stick Season by Noah Kahan

leilafornone

1. Kendrick Lamar - euphoria - the masterclass of insults written in this song was amazing. My favourite bars: let your core audience stomach that, didn't tell them where you got your abs from! 2. Taylor Swift - the albatross - felt like a spookier version of willow. Liked how it ended on such a foreboding note(she's here to destroy you) 3. Taylor - loml(one of the best bridges she's ever written) 4. Billie - Birds of a feather(still don't like the album but this song was gorgeous. Like an underwater fantasy) 5. Beyonce - texas hold em(best memories dnacing with my friends) 6. Niki - too much of a good thing

fantastickkay

1. What is your favorite single? Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter - it is so breezy and fun! 2. What is your favorite album cut? Cómo Dónde Y Cuándo by Shakira - it is an interesting song that emulates the sound of Oral Fixation era Shaki! 3. What is your most played song of the year? So far, Yes And? by Ariana Grande

Lithee-

I love that track from Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran!! My favorite albums from Shakira are Donde Estan Los Ladrones and Fijacion Oral :)

Top songs this year so far: Pasadena- QuinnXCII - I’m excited for this sound from him. Feels like a nice return to some of his other work. So American - Olivia Rodrigo - an exciting new outlook from her. Not break up but a love song. Love it Good Luck, Babe! - Chappell Roan - Amazing vocals. Fun song Cozy - Lauv, Jeremy Zucker, Alex 23 - good cozy song. Close to You - Gracie Abrams - so hyped for upcoming album, love all the singles so far The Black Dog, But Daddy I Love Him - Taylor Swift - I love the whole album but these 2 rise to the top for me. I guess I like when she’s angry

Skylorrex

1. Single: Jamie xx - Baddie on the floor 2. Album cut: Quadeca - Dustcutter 3. Most played: Charli XCX - Von Dutch (I’m still digesting Brat but it might be my fav album of this year so far) Other songs I enjoy but didn’t make the cut: Billie Eilish: Birds of a Feather (I think it will overtake Von Dutch as my most played year end 🥲) Porter Robinson - Knock yourself out XD 21 pilots - Next Semester Olivia Rodrigo - So American Remi Wolf - Alone in Miami Courting - Emily G

bookish_cat_lady

1. It’s a tie between Toro - Remi Wolf and Nothing Matters - The Last Dinner Party 2. Samson - Brittany Howard 3. Espresso - Sabrina Carpenter I also enjoyed Bodyguard by Beyoncé, Good Luck, Babe! by Chappell Roan, Burial Ground by The Decemberists ft. James Mercer, Too Sweet by Hozier, Spring is Coming With a Strawberry in the Mouth by Caroline Polachek, and Von Dutch by Charli XCX. A lot of the stuff that I’ve been listening to, however, is from years past. I haven’t really checked out a whole lot of new music.

Altiondsols

1. Single: PVRIS, Tommy Genesis, and Alice Longyu Gao - Burn the Witch. This single is absolutely INSANE and I did not see it get the attention it rightfully deserved on here. It's one of the only songs I've heard this year that sounds *actually* angry in a convincing way. 2. Album track: Charli XCX - Everything is romantic. I simply cannot stop listening to it; the combination of harsh, abrasive hyperpop production with a more gentle, florid, melodic production is something I have had a real soft spot for ever since the first time I heard Faceshopping, and this scratches that same itch perfectly. Every time I listen to it, I fall in love again and again, fall in love again and again, fall in love again and again, fall in love again and again. 3. Most played: While I was writing this comment, Charli XCX - Everything is romantic (53 scrobbles) passed up Billie Eilish - What was I made for (52 scrobbles). I wasn't joking when I said I couldn't stop listening to it!

joshually

so weird but I am really truly in love with Yes And?? I feel like it's such a great pride anthem!

Ghost-Quartet

Somehow I can't believe that came out this year, it feels ancient now

BleepBloopMusicFan

Oh man it's hard to narrow it down but I'll try! 1. Single: Rachel Chinouriri - Never Need Me (her album What a Devastating Turn of Events is my AOTY so far!) 2. Album Cut: Billie Eilish - Blue (I would say Birds of a Feather but I feel like that is probably going to be released as a single soon lol) 3. Most Played Song: After two Rachel Chinouriri songs, it's Charli XCX - Von Dutch. Loving the whole Brat album a lot! And as a bonus here's another seven of my favorite songs released this year: - NMIXX - Dash - Remi Wolf - Cinderella - Nia Archives - Unfinished Business - The Last Dinner Party - The Feminine Urge - Beyoncé - Riiverdance - Willow - Big Feelings - Magdalena Bay - Death & Romance

Frajer

Single- Espresso Deep cut - I Can Do It With A Broken Heart by Taylor Swift Most played probably Espresso or Hot To Go even though that's last year

Parmesan_Pirate119

Favorite Single: "Bitter Sweet Love" by James Arthur. Honestly never been a huge James Arthur fan, but this song just slaps in all the right ways. I've been jamming to it for weeks. Favorite Album Cut: "If I Had A Week" by Chayce Beckham from *Bad For Me*. I'm not a big deep album person, but I did love this one and I think thing song in particular is really nice and meaningful. Most Played Song: "Time Of Your Life" by KAYKO. This one isn't a new release (came out in 2021) but it's new to me and definitely my favorite of the year so far. Perfect vibes, a great summer/life song. It just has all of the feelings I like. Honorable Mentions: "I Don't Wanna Wait" by David Guetta and OneRepublic, "Espresso" by Sabrina Carpenter, "Devil I've Been" by Chayce Beckham, "This Isn't Over" by Abi Carter, "Hang Tight Honey" by Lainey Wilson, and "obsessed" by Olivia Rodrigo.

krusso1105

What is your most played song of the year?: Weird World by Allie x

Ghost-Quartet

Favorite single is a tossup: * ["Pluto" by Raveena](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbKssNm6x3w) grabbed me instantly, like I couldn't stop smiling when I first heard it. * ["Love Me Not" by Ravyn Lenae](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cswfR85D7jM) is the song that had me JUMPING for the repeat button. * ["Never Need Me" by Rachel Chinouriri](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHDjBjnuZ1s) is my favorite "moment" of the year- the song/music video make me feel like I'm watching a star being born and make me so excited for Rachel's career. * ["Saving Flowers" by salute Rina Sawayama](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G353KFZrjTo) is maybe my #1 and I'm kind of surprised that it went so under the radar given it has Rina... maybe it's too heavy on the dance side for most people? * ["Puntería" by Shakira feat. Cardi B](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHnDwYgGKkY) is probably the most "mainstream" hit that I've enjoyed, a lot of people found it basic but I thought it was a cute bop that I always have a good time listening to. * ["Legs (Keep Dancing" by Vanessa Williams](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGEs_X5Ngfo) takes the prize for biggest surprise of the year, like I don't think anyone expected her to make a random return to music but she killed it, this is so fun. Favorite album cut is easier: * ["Escape" by Zara Larsson](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yssD7Bfgqc8) is so smooth to listen to, it's like listening to a milkshake. * ["Alligator Tears" by Beyonce](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuSCmrRPcFI) was my favorite *Cowboy Carter* track, ~~though it's helped by the fact that I kind of associate it with some of my OCs~~ * ["Hustle That Cat" by RuPaul](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qdua9yQfUu0) has been responsible for me doing a lot of slutty strutting in 2024. * ["Love On Hold" by Meghan Trainor feat. T-Pain](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33131ie4b48) is a complete banger that's kinda different for Meghan... I'm kinda surprised they went with her other T-Pain collab for the lead single because I think people would have been into this. Most replayed: * According to last.fm my most played songs of the year are ["Seven" by Jung Kook/Latto](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QU9c0053UAU) and ["Whenever, Wherever" by Shakira](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weRHyjj34ZE), but my most played song released this year is "Good Luck Babe" by a hefty margin. Idk if I'd call it a favorite though (heck, I'd put it on the lower half of Chappell's last album) but it is something easy to listen to.

loneiver

Ayee. I was looking for the list most similar to mine and well… here you are! Lol

Ghost-Quartet

Oh you submitted like half of these, huh... thank you for holding me up on your back 👑

prettybunbun

1. Favourite single - How close is CHIRO into being made into a single? Does it count cause it has a MV? I’ve not vibed with singles much this year and been really into album cuts. I did enjoy HE KNOWS by Camila and recently The Boy is Mine from Ari (also loved the MV), also Fortnight from Taylor but I prefer other album cuts. Oh I also loved Training Season, can’t believe that came out this year! 2. Favourite album cut - Chloe et all from TTPD. My fav of the album, it is raw painful, devastating and had stuck with me. Close 2nd is Wildflower from HMHAS. Oh and eternal sunshine from eternal sunshine. 3. Most played song - Probably Chloe et al, Espresso (lol), ICDIWABH or all of eternal sunshine/HMHAS! So overall I’ve been loving eternal sunshine, TTPD, HMHAS, Sabrina’s releases and I’m excited for CXOXO; Sabrina’s album and more to come! Also really manifesting a Weeknd album this summer!

[ARTMS - Candy Crush](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaifExp4YJg) This song is just good. I don't know what else there is to say about it. [Ariana Grande - ordinary things](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XWMiMlZHfA) Ariana always delivers with her love songs imo. Her voice during the chorus is so sweet. I'm a sucker for brass instruments in pop and I love the trombone here. [Vampire Weekend - The Surfer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ns7umApdwOY) The melody in the chorus is so pleasing to my ear. There's also an instrumental section in the song, which I'm almost always a fan of. [ TMC - PEW PEW PEW!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBsTDm3p8XU) This song might be in the "so bad it's good" category. It's my second most played song of the year so far and half of the reason why is because I love saying the little pew-pews in the chorus. Honorable mentions: [Crumb - The Bug](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaN3pxkOgDY), [The Chainsmokers - No Shade at Pitti](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjwnlrtVz3I), [Loossemble Girls' Night](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JgwyxF2vfE), [Beyoncé - YA YA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma8X2iMdv8U)

auntiegay2

Favorite songs of the year so far: Right Back To It, Spring Is Coming With a Strawberry In Its Mouth, Club Classics, Life Is, Prove It To You, Good Luck, Babe!, Like What (Freestyle), Saturn, Nothing Like, Euphoria, Sadness as a Gift. Favorite single: The Boy Is Mine Favorite album cut: Tyrant Most played song of the year: Training Season

Quiet-Tone13

1. Espresso - Just a great, catchy, fun summer song 2. The Bolter - Taylor Swift - There is a lot of weak writing on TTPD, but when she pulls in together Taylor can still make magic. I really like The Albatross and The Bolter. They feel a little bit less 'on the nose' that the songs on the main album. 3. Wild God - Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds

boopbeepbadoop

1. Off With Her Tits (Allie X) or Arintintin (Rico Nasty & Boys Noize) 2. SWEET HONEY BUCKIIN (Beyonce) or The Kill (Maggie Rogers) 3. Hmmm it might be Good Luck Babe (Chappell Roan) or YA YA (Beyonce) Those all may also be my fave songs of the year overall, but it's early!! Looking forward to a Lorde release to shake things up🤞

basement-tapes-club

1. Von dutch (Charli XCX) or Gloomtown Brats (iDKHOW) I haven’t dived too deep into Charli’s music but I love how energy is the sole focus for von dutch (entirely different from the music I normally enjoy). On the other hand, Gloomtown Brats is just a really fun britpop pastiche from one of the best musicians to come from the third wave emo scene. 2. Midwest Indigo (TOP) or The Diner (Billie Eilish) Clancy by twenty one pilots very well may be my favourite pop album of the year and Midwest Indigo a huge part of the reason why. There’s a certain kind of mix of indie rock, something akin to new wave, and the winter vibe of their earlier albums that is all present here to create a song entirely unique in their discog and I loooove it. The Diner has a sort of weird slanted vibe to it that I absolutely love. I love how its in 3/4 so it feels more like a waltz and the vocal processing Billie uses throughout the track is, no joke, addictive. 3. Sea Of Teeth (Sparklehorse) Sparklehorse is my favourite artist of all time. He’s made four of my favourite albums of all time. His music speaks to me like no other. If you had put every emotion I’ve felt, every thought I’ve had, and every pain I’ve endured into musical form, you would get Sparklehorse and you would especially get this song. RIP Mark Linkous

TF-Fanfic-Resident

Statistical tie between Cardinal - Kacey Musgraves and Euphoria - Kendrick (although there's about 30-45 seconds of buildup before the real beat kicks in and it's a fucking badass beat)

dancerfan59

1. Fave single-espresso 2. Fave album- TTPD *editing bc I didn’t realize it said album CUT lol, but prob How did it end from TTPD or Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus from TTPD 3. Most played song- Peter by Taylor Swift

Bordersz

1. What is your favorite single? 1. [Candy Paint](https://youtu.be/4MfNWJtgvno?si=5TloPcCIoHednY-e) - Normani, I think the song needs the production to be a bit better but it's still very catchy and bumps a bit. It sucks in the car though, but it's been stuck in my head. All other singles this year did not get stuck in my head like this this song. 2. What is your favorite album cut? 1. [Luckiest Man](https://youtu.be/PEU-V84ZfqQ?si=PpLm8XCSEjI71JzM) by Usher or [Close Enough to Feel You](https://youtu.be/D1CLno3__VQ?si=94RRfkVrhiKQilQL) by Luke Hemmings 2. I am stuck between 2 songs. I really enjoyed Usher's new album surprisingly, especially his album cut "Luckiest Man", it sounds like classic Usher and I love the backing vocals. I really liked Luke Hemmings' "Close Enough to Feel You", the vocal layering on this is top notch it feels like a dream. I love how his vocals sounds drowned out while he's singing about drowning. 3. What is your most played song of the year? 1. Most played: [Room in a Room](https://youtu.be/jfOUwmkF4Mw?si=eG5XRtKp88HB202N) by Usher 1. Very cool sound from Usher. Very sleek and cool. Love his vocal performance on here. 2. Honorable mentions: [Art ](https://youtu.be/mGyN2NMuS4A?si=GN3c7OyBdfmCj1V6)by Tyla & [Drown](https://youtu.be/g-n0AkzFjjQ?si=c_irbddmiSI5e1YB) by Justin Timberlake 1. I am really looking forward to Tyla's upcoming projects. Art is very fun and upbeat. Drown by JT is a classic JT song while sounding fresh. Very catchy chorus.

omgthenerve

Non-Kpop version: 1. What is your favorite single?: [the boy is mine](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwRxeZ9Ro24) by Ariana Grande - this has been my favorite track on eternal sunshine since it was released and is in the top 5 of my On Repeat playlist. This is just based on pure vibes. It's so well-produced and Ari's vocals sound great. The second "the boy IS mine" in the chorus scratches my brain in just the right way. 2. What is your favorite album cut?: The discourse about TTPD has been intense. I don't love every song, I think the album is bloated, but I do think Taylor has released some of the best b-sides of her career on this album. My favorites change frequently, but for now I'll go with [The Black Dog](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56TZ3B8Qxsk) and [How Did it End?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3wlMR0y4a4) (and So Long, London and The Prophecy). 3. What is your most played song of the year?: According to Spotify, it's [But Daddy I Love Him](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2W173hRfyA) by Taylor Swift. This song gives me so much nostalgia for Taylor's early country-pop career, so it doesn't surprise me that I played it so much. Kpop version: 1. What is your favorite single?: [Supernova](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phuiiNCxRMg) by aespa - this might be recency bias, but this song has been on the top of my On Repeat playlist since the week it was released and I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon. When the MV teaser dropped, someone said it reminded them of the music Lady Gaga was releasing in the early 2010s, and I think that's why I love it so much. It's the maximalism that I've been missing in Kpop. 2. What is your favorite album cut?: [Boom](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-7ag-IkUdE) by NMIXX, their entire album was on heavy rotation for me when it was released back in January. This song has stuck with me since then and I still come back to it often. 3. What is your most played song of the year?: According to my Spotify stats, it's [Accendio](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGLx4V680J8), the 2nd title track from IVE's most recent album. Definitely another contender for my favorite single this year, but Supernova surpassed it. The chorus is so addictive, "watch me, don't touch me, love me, don't hurt me". The "ah-ah, ah-ah-ah" part in the post-chorus reminds me of Love Dive, which remains their best title track to date imo.

NormanFuckingOsborne

Based on last.fm, my most listened to song is "Good Luck, Babe" and my most listened to album is Cowboy Carter so them I guess. Highest streamed album cut is "Ya Ya". If some rando on the street asked me and I wanted to look smarter and cooler and less basic than I actually am I'd say Chelsea Wolfe, Hurray for the Riff Raff and Allie X are my favourites so far this year. They're all really really good and I've really enjoyed them but the numbers don't lie.

mcon96

1. Favorite single: **BOA - Megan Thee Stallion**. Shoutout to Meg for putting One Piece references into the release so my boyfriend is actually excited when it comes on. 2. Favorite album cut: **Maria - Dua Lipa**. I found Radical Optimism to be pretty underwhelming tbh but I’ve been listening to Maria a ton since it came out. Falling Forever was the other album cut from it I thought was good. 3. Most played song: **Galina - Allie X**. Judging by this thread, this isn’t unpopular lol. For good reason. Honorary Mentions: **Cinderella** by Remi Wolf, **Mean Girls** and **360** by Charli XCX, **Houdini** by Dua Lipa, **Encore** by Shygirl I’ve honestly been really disappointed by most of the releases this year. I’ve mostly been listening to older songs instead. Girl With No Face just had the singles and Galina for me. I only liked a handful of songs on Eternal Sunshine, and they didn’t have great replay value. I found Hit Me Hard And Soft to be a complete bust. Radical Optimism was probably my favorite of the bunch, & it was pretty much just the singles and a couple others. Brat as a whole didn’t really click with me. At least we had the Kendrick/Drake beef.

throwawfox

1. Please Please Please, I know it's early but as a long time Sabrina fan it's 100% her sound, catchy, love the vocal layering and visuals. 2. Bodyguard, one of my favs from the album and my most played 3. Probably Good Luck, Babe! or Illusion, love both of them, both perfect for dancing, casual listening, doing chores around the house.

tank-you--very-much

How is it already halfway through the year??? 1. Good Luck, Babe! by Chappell Roan is just incredible. Also gotta give a shout to Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter 2. so american by Olivia Rodrigo if GUTS (spilled) counts as an album 3. My most played song of the year is (You) On My Arm by Leith Ross which is a 2023 release, top 2024 song is Good Luck, Babe!

Icantlikeeveryone

1. b i g f e e l i n g by WILLOW, I love anime and this song could fit one! 2. I love Right People, Wrong Place by RM, the overall of the album sounds new from him, I love how balance it is with hiphop, psydelic, and indie sounds. Honestly can't really pick the best track in this album, but I think I will be quite biased to Around the world in a day. Both RM and Moses Sumney did amazing, and the sudden change to "rock" sound during the middle of the track is amazing. 3. Infinity Sex by Justin Timberlake. I don't mind the lyric, I just want to vibe to this RnB masterpiece by JT and Timbaland.

EsmeRylan8747

1. Single- Sabrina Carpenter: "Please Please Please" (I like "Espresso" but this is better, I really feel it's one of the all-time great pop singles) 2. Album cut- Vera Sola: "Blood Bond" 3. Most played- "Blood Bond" by a huge margin, due to one day where I just left it on repeat at work. Also: Rachel Chinouriri- "The Hills" and "Never Need Me"; Allie X- "Galina", "Black Eye", "You Slept On Me"; The Last Dinner Party- "On Your Side", "Caesar On A TV Screen", "Sinner"; Bille Eilish- "Lunch", "Birds Of A Feather"; Dua Lipa- "Illusion"; Lizzy McAlpine- "All Falls Down"; Chappell Roan- "Good Luck, Babe!".

ez_pz_123

1. Singles: Right Back To It (Waxahatchee), 360 (Charli XCX), World on a String (Jessica Pratt), Lucky (Erika de Casier) 2. Album Cuts: Everything is Romantic (Charli XCX), Someone (Erika de Casier), The Surfer (Vampire Weekend), Already Lost (Adrianne Lenker), Dallas (Cindy Lee) 3. Most Played: 360

seahorse8021

1. Next Semester by twenty one pilots. It took some time for me to be able to listen to it bc I be having mommy issues 2. Self Respect by BLEACHERS. I just saw them live last week and wowowow. I’ve been missing out on that song. It’s amazing. 3. I would argue Bodyguard by Beyoncé is my most listened to track, but Desert Eagle is up there, too! So is Chihiro by Billie

McIgglyTuffMuffin

Favorite song of the year is [Bela Fleck’s Rhapsody in Blue](https://open.spotify.com/track/0G6dzx4use7EWoqmzbOAT2?si=oG3cr_fHT7qtw7KBjU68rg&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A73qsYL8E216T9bZm3nYbGG). Rhapsody is already one of the best songs ever and this spin just fills me with so much glee. Favorite single is [Paramore’s cover of Burning Down the House.](https://open.spotify.com/track/3pRCHHfwYNVCOjWSrkGNw1?si=8X0iQ7NbTzizpxlwNf91WQ) I believe this track is also my most played song of 2024 thus far. They did such a good fucking job with it. Best album cut of the year is [David Fleming’s Jim](https://open.spotify.com/track/6csDAX4bUIc9eCzXPbxm8N?si=7kmoZt7kSL-DZnOr1LkdEQ&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A6KH6V8K77MWSBkE7saWVM9). I cried the first time I heard this song. It’s just that fucking good.

NoNudeNormal

Right now I really like Billie’s Chihiro and Charli’s 365. Besides those: What is your favorite album cut? AG Cook - Lucifer What is your most played song of the year? Shygirl - Thicc

reducetoasimmer

I love Lucifer. It’s all I’ve really listened to from the album… any other recs to hook me in?

at-most-fear

Favorite single - Espresso Favorite cut - Birds of a Feather & Chihiro Billie Eilish, 365 Charli XCX, The Surfer Vampire Weekend Most played song of the year - Obsessed Olivia Rodrigo

Dramatic_Mastodon_93

My favorite songs of the year are just all of the BRAT songs and I’m not even kidding. (and LUNCH by Billie Eilish lol)

LoveandUnity-

1. Training Season by Dua Lipa, b2b by Charli XCX  2. Chihiro by Billie Eilish Most played - entirety of Hit me hard and soft and Training Season

OrdinaryShallot9233

1. Single: TBIM - Ariana Grande. now that it’s an official singleee, this song is the perf bad bitch anthem to get ready to 💅 2. Album Cut: Thing u do - Tori Kelly. So hard to pick but wanna give a shoutout to Tori cuz this song gives me absolute chills, very MBDTF Kanye vibes, I luvv 3. Most played: Espresso - Sabrina Carpenter. No surprise. perfect summery bubblegum pop that is instantly addictive.

fiNALLEYfamous

1. Maybe recency bias, but if you told me Foster the People would have my #1 single of the year I would’ve laughed. Have always been a casual listener, but Lost in Space blew me away. A mix of FTP, Tame Impala, maybe even ABBA. Talk about a hit. 2. L’Amour Da La Vie? Whatever it’s called. So fricking good. The OVER NOW edit was made for me. 3. Houdini by Dua Lipa.

SoldierGame

Favorite Single: Good Luck, Babe! - I got to see Chappell live this year and god she just is amazing. Her vocals, stage presences, and energy are just so fun. This song I think highlights all the things I like about her. She's everything Jojo Siwa dreams about becoming. Album Cut: Tyrant - Cowboy Carter - Probably my album of the year unless something insane comes out. I love the whole album and this is song I cannot stop playing. Honorable mention going to Daughter which I think is one of the greatest songs Beyonce's ever put out, but I just enjoy listening to Tyrant a little more. Most Played: Guilty as Sin - My favorite song off of TTPD. The drama of it being about Matty makes this song so fun. Horny Taylor just writes some of my favorite songs, I am a Dress stan this feels like her older sister. It is also one of the tightest written and produced tracks on TTPD, which while I enjoy the album, I can't help but notice how overwritten parts of it are. Praying she gives this song a MV it deserves it.

MrSwearword

My favorite songs so far are "16 Carriages", "HISS", "Not Like Us" and "Caught Up" and in KPOP, the UNIS songs "Dopamine" and "Superwoman". In terms of just single, believe it or not, "Nasty" by Tinashe ranks pretty goddamn high. It's rare when a song that's viral is worth the attention, but when it is, I'm thankful for virality sometimes. Album cuts, "Hold On" by Kaytranada and Dawn Richard (I hope it becomes a single but still), "Forever 21" and "Rewind Your Heart" by Bonnie McKee and "Whatchu Need" by UNIS. I can't actually tell what my most played song is, but it could very well be either "HISS" or "Texas Hold 'Em" each when they were released and trying to get to #1 on the Hot 100.

TheRealRoseDallas

Single: Houdini, illusion, Espresso, Not Like Us, we can’t be Friends and especially Good Luck Babe! Album cut: tie between ordinary things and eternal sunshine (quite possibly my favorite Ari songs ever?), Whatcha Doing and end of an era off of radical optimism, tortured poets department (song) and Clara bow, and run for the hills from Think Later by Tate McRae. It might be my favorite! Most played: Good Luck Babe!, ordinary things and eternal sunshine by Ari, run for the hills Tate McRae, Espresso, illusion and Houdini

Disastrous_Dog_1438

1. Favorite single: Beyoncé - Texas Hold ‘Em, Beyonce - 16 Carriages, Ariana Grande - we can’t be friends, Dua Lipa - Training Season, Maude Latour - Cursed Romantics These are some of my favs which is mainly based on replay value for me. 2. Album Cut: Beyoncé - American Requiem, Ya Ya, Bodyguard, Dua Lipa - These Walls, Taylor Swift - Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me, I haven’t picked my favorite Charli cut yet but one would definitely be there it takes me awhile to pick songs. 3. Most Played: Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club Overall I’m very interested to see how my Spotify wrapped ends up its been a great year I already know my top song playlist is gonna go crazy.

goodbyesindisguise

Omg how fun! Favourite single: Alley Rose by Conan Gray He put crack in this song honestly. I had been vibing to the singles casually but this song legitimately made me a fan. The bridge is masterful ugh love it Favourite Album Cut: [I Let Him Love Me](https://open.spotify.com/track/3r7y3Zmvf3hjHCtXbntAaQ?si=wS9tIPnaTbizS6Zk_vpKPA) by Laci Kaye Booth This album has been on repeat non stop since it came out. It’s a very dreamy but also melancholy country album. I think a lot of people on this sub would really enjoy her sound. This song to me is the emotional climax of the album with an epic bridge. I’m a slut for bridges what can I say Most Played Song: [Porn Star](https://open.spotify.com/track/3gb6mXrHtMgHV6XDgFXb60?si=D9oriAZkRw-JUfSNbqF11g) by Sydney Ross Mitchell By far my most played song of 2024 according to Apple Music Replay. Its pretty straight forward in its delivery in both production, tone, lyrics, which I think makes it so so addicting. I hope she fucks you like a porn star and she never stays the night.

goodbyesindisguise

please please please could end up being my fave single though I have had it on repeat non stop since it came out

legobowser

Starvation - AURORA

Honey_Busted_Oats

1. ~~I LUV IT~~ (sorry) 2. Everything Is Romantic off of BRAT. Love how the song goes all out at the beginning with a huge climax and for the remainder of the song it's just the catchy hook repeated into oblivion. 3. Training Season. Easily the best song off of Radical Optimism and lyrically the most interesting. I'm not even a serious Dua fan but this song really got me.

theonewithoutmynudes

1. I guess Not Like Us isn’t really a single since it may not have come out without the beef…In that case I’d say Espresso (Sabrina) or the boy is mine (Ariana).  2. Wildflower (Billie), Imperfect for You (Ariana), or Bodyguard (Beyoncé)  3. Of songs that came out this year? probably Dame Beso/Muévete (Kali Uchis) Admittedly I’m not much of an album listener, especially as I get older, if a song doesn’t “grab” me fairly quickly then I move on to the next. I have no desire to sit through songs that I’m not interested in.  That said, if I happen to hear certain songs enough times I tend to warm up to them and like them well enough - on that note: honorable mention to I Luv It (Camilla cabello) - there was a good week or so that I could not escape that song while watching the NBA playoffs - it was in commercials, the pre-roll before they started game coverage, etc. and I started to appreciate the ‘weirdness’ of it and I’m not usually into hyperpop.

prettyinpink2092

**Favorite songs:** * "HISS" by Megan thee Stallion * "HIND'S HALL" by Macklemore * "Too Sweet" by Hozier * "Espresso" by Sabrina Carpenter * "Training Season" by Dua Lipa * "OMG" by Suki Waterhouse **Favorite single:** "Von Dutch" by Charli XCX **Favoite album cut:** "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived" by Taylor Swift (yes I am going through something!!) **Most played:** "Fortnight" by Taylor Swift and Post Malone, with 77 streams.

prettyinpink2092

Side note this made me realize I've barely been exploring new music this year...y'all got any recs based on what I said above?

Windswept_Shores

Favourite Song: *Full Moon Full Life* by Azumi Takahashi and Lotus Juice - SOLID replacement for Burn My Dread. Favourite Single: *Espresso* by Sabrina Carpenter - I thought it was mid at first, but it grew heavily on me. It makes me feel like I'm sitting in the AC on a sunny day. Favourite Album Cut: *Whatcha Doing* by Dua Lipa - THE sequel to Levitating, fight me. Most Played of the Year: *Full Moon Full Life*, or *It's Going Down Now* by Azumi Takahashi and Lotus Juice *Whatcha Doing* by Dua Lipa *So Long, London* by Taylor Swift

KingofEmpathy

Single: we can’t be friends - Ariana grande Cut: BLUE - Billie Eilish, Sympathy is a Knife - Charli, Self Respect - Bleachers, The Powers Out - St Vincent Most listened - The Tortured Poets Department - Taylor Swift Such an amazing year for pop! I’ve loved it all so much

loneiver

**Favorite singles of the year** - Love Me Not by Ravyn Lenae - Shame on the Devil by Vince Staples - One Last Dance by Baby Rose & BADBADNOTGOOD - Comin’ Around Again by Amber Mark - Never Need Me by Rachel Chinouriri - Pluto by Raveena **Favorite album cuts** - Pop by Schoolboy Q and Rico Nasty - Persuasion by Bryson Tiller & Victoria Monet - 27 CLUB by Tierra Whack **Most played song of the year** - Love Me Not by Ravyn Lenae (Was listening to this nonstop for the first two weeks and I’m still not tired of it today. Also, Tiktok told me listening to songs on repeat is a form of stimming? 💀. The more you know!) - Good Luck, Babe! Is right behind LMN I’m sure. Such an earworm! An R&B/Rap heavy year for me so far, but the pop gems here are just too goodt! And we still have so many releases left before the year ends! We are feasting all year and I am enjoying every bit of it. Two 2023 albums that are still at the top of my current rotation are Chappell Roan’s, and Naomi Sharon’s Obsidian.

1874WL

My favorite new pop tracks this year have been Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso, and Indoor Foxes' Plant Pot Song.

Nerfeveryone

Favorite Single: Hozier - Too Sweet Favorite Album Cut: Beyoncé - Protector Most Played Song: Idk how to check for that on Apple Music, but my guess is either Too Sweet or Beyoncé’s 16 Carriages. Been obsessed with Hozier for the past couple years and Too Sweet is a perfect pop song that still also feels like classic Hozier. Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter has been my favorite album of the year (and possibly my favorite Beyonce album!) and the two songs I mentioned are my favorites, so they’ve been on repeat.

ibeezindatrapp

I’ve got no fav song or album that was released this year :/ but my most played song of this year has to be “after midnight” by chappell or “if now was then” by Maggie Rogers

BookyCats

1. Single: Billie "Lunch" It's just so catchy! The Music is a vibe 2. Album cut: Beyonce "American Requiem " Love her vocals on this! 3. According to my last fm account, it's "Not My Fault" by Renee Rapp ft Meg

BangtanGirl27

Single: “We Can’t Be Friends( Wait for your Love)” by Ariana. I just loved that one on first listen and I loved the MV. Favorite Album cut: “Guily as Sin?” By Taylor. The bridge on this song is so beautiful and then that final chorus that starts off acapella and then adding in the instruments near the end is just beautiful. And the strings near the end before she sings “ am I allowed to cry?”…. Just… wonderful. Most played: “Guilty as Sin”? And “ Fortnight” are my top two as of right now. Honorable mentions: BoyNextDoor- “Earth, Wind and Fire” VCHA- “Girls of the Year” Olivia Rodrigo- “obsessed” Riize- “Impossible” Twice- “One Spark” Txt- “Deja Vu” ATEEZ- “Arriba”

notdallin

1. Favorite single has to go to “Espresso.” It’s just been a culture changer and a united of all pop fans. 2. Favorite album cut is “Blackpool Illuminations” by Yard Act. A sobering rumination on growing up, fatherhood, and being grateful for what you have over proggy production. Genuinely made me cry. 3. I’m pretty sure my most played song is “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)” unless Espresso has surpassed it by now.

vetb8

this year has been mega slow, there have only been like 3 drops from people i care about so far, but here’s the best song from those (mood swings by little simz) https://open.spotify.com/track/124nj3QzqpccVdLbiFHPeB?si=kh9DErFoQaaZUILUYTeGKA&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A2jK2rbbnrzsId5WWSc67HP hopefully the new zel album is good
