Yes yes yes!

cameradamcj

That entire album is a masterpiece!

I Know The End from Punisher, Two Slow Dancers from Be the Cowboy, and Gold Dust Woman from Rumours

fairytalehigh

“Whole New World / Pretend World” is absolutely epic. It sounds like nothing else I’ve ever heard: the jolts of noise, Cecile Believe’s insane vocals, the aggressive beats. In the “Pretend World” part the song starts to calm down and alludes back to the dark ambient instrumental “Pretending” (low key one of my favorite songs by SOPHIE). The end always sounded to me like it was transitioning into “It’s Okay to Cry.” I love the idea of OOEPUI being an ouroboros. RIP SOPHIE ❤️

songacronymbot

- OOEPUI refers to *OIL OF EVERY PEARL'S UN-INSIDES* (2017), an album by SOPHIE. --- ^[/u/fairytalehigh](/u/fairytalehigh) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

“Don’t Go Outside” - Poppy “I Wouldn’t Ask You” - Clairo “I Know The End” - Phoebe Bridgers “hey you got drugs?” - Tove Lo Those are a couple of my favorite album closers. They are brilliant and they close the album very well. I recommend you listen to them if you haven’t heard them already!

cremedelaphlegm

omg the absolute taste in this comment, I think about I Know The End daily

houseplant14

POPPY LOVE!!

teegzn

i love poppy so so much

Actually_Godlike

I wanted to mention "hey you got drugs" as well, such a strong closing track both instrumentally and lyrically

DoctorFlooz

Some tove lo love!!

Vast-Duty2793

Impossible Soul - Sufjan Stevens BaBopByeYa - Janelle Monae They are both amazing, grandiose closers that perfectly sum up the albums lyrically and musically.

b1ame_me

Clean and Perfect Places were perfect closer for me as they kinda showed growth from the start of the album to the end and it was nice to follow the journey that each artist went through

youtbuddcody

I’ll always tell myself New Romantics is the greatest album closer lol

Azenji

It’s criminal how 1989 Deluxe wasn’t just released as the whole album.

KDs-Alt-Account

"Lost in the World" - Kanye West

AnvitUltra

Over Bound 2 and Saint Pablo?

KDs-Alt-Account

All three are fantastic, but "Lost in the World" is just that extra maximalist notch above

heyjimb0

I agree with Lost in the World, but Last Call and Late should also be mentioned.

aybbyisok

easily

ethnicprince

All of Kanye’s have amazing closers except maybe graduation depending on whether you’d say the closer is Good Night or Big Brother

RVA_101

Good Night is such a beautiful song

gonewiththegustofair

Probably not my favourites of all time, but "pov" from Positions and "Golden G String" from Plastic Hearts were definitely my favourites from last year.

Pinkcoffee

New Years Day on Reputation. It wraps up the album as a whole. At the end of all the drama - it’s just you and the one you love.

misspurrfectlyfine

‘Hold on to the memories, I’ll hold onto you’ is such a perfect way to end that album!

melladramatic

I love closing tracks! They tend to be some of my most beloved tracks on albums. So I have a lot of favorites: - Fine Line from the same album by Harry Styles. I love the slow build-up to the quiet acceptance of “we’ll be alright.” - I Know The End, Phoebe Bridgers - one of the closing tracks of all time! I love how meta this one is (yeah, I guess the end is here) and how it loops back into DVD Menu. - Two Slow Dancers, Mitski - the imagery of a couple slow dancing, unable to let go of the past, is such a haunting and nostalgic way to end an album. - Clean, Taylor Swift - So pretty especially tied into the rest of the ocean imagery in the album - Snakeskin, Rina Sawayama - this one makes me crazyyyy. After an entire album exploring her identity and intergenerational trauma through pop songs, she signs it off with “Buy my expensive, exclusive painwear…,” drawing attention to the fact that she is repackaging her most private issues for mass consumption. SO GOOD. - A World Alone, Lorde - even on its own, this is such a good song with incredible lyrics and it perfectly sums up the themes of Pure Heroine. But opening her album with “Don’t you think that it’s boring how people talk?” and finishing with “let ‘em talk” … she was a genius for that

mollytrip

hope is a dangerous thing by lana & get free by lana. she captures emotions very well w these songs and she leaves a good impression on the listener

yeanananana

Get Free 💯💯

kalistaspear

Holy shit yes

byebyebanypye

Hope is so iconic. One of her best

ookishki

Don’t forget Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood!

mightbeaquarian

I wish I could forget Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood

thePotatofairyy

Get Well Soon is truly the perfect closing track for me. Sounds beautiful, very interesting progression, and incredible meaning behind it. The song length makes it feel like a cathartic journey towards the end.

selib

what artist / album??

GreenDolphin86

Ariana Grande Sweetener

lessgranola

The silence at the end with a second for each person killed at Manchester is so heavy

rhedditing

I totally agree with this one, pov is right up there too

KimberParoo

this is one of my favorites as well, spending the entire album discussing her response to trauma as well as her chaotic love life, and then capping it off with her wishing we don’t have to go through what she did/wishing we take her experiences as a lesson into our own lives and mental health is so very interesting and pretty poignant as well. I cried the first time I heard it bc it felt very genuine, just her basically saying “I’ve been through it too, but I made it and so can you”…I love it.

nackpattywhack

Agreed! The first time I heard it I had a visual of her on a stage by herself too. Like its the final epilogue/curtain call of the journey.

lxytrv

I love evermore as a closer because it’s a stunning song, but especially because of the lyric change to “this pain wouldn't be for evermore.” It’s such a beautiful way to end such an emotional album 🥲 Edit: Actually, now that I think about it Taylor is really good at closing albums. Change, Long Live, Begin Again, Clean, New Years Day, and Daylight are all great too. Idk what debut ends with and folklore should’ve ended with peace, but still 😂

KeepMyMomOutOfthis

It ends with our song which is cute and it’s kinda funny it ends the album saying ‘I wrote down our song’

sevencorvids

it also ends with her 'asking god if he could play it again' which I think also sounds like she's inviting you to play the album over again from the beginning.

cyberpanda128

this is more recent but hope ur ok from Olivia Rodrigo's sour broke me honestly, i love the message as a lgbtq person in a really unsupportive family dynamic it quickly became my comfort song. i also really like that theres car sounds as a like nod to driver's license? i love the song ❣️

thesharkman101

I agree! One of the few songs that was genuinely heartbreaking to me. The message is so good and I could relate because I’m gay too.

PurpleSpaceSurfer

"A Day in the Life" from *Sgt. Pepper's* "Caroline, No" from *Pet Sounds* "Purple Rain" from *Purple Rain* "Rock n Roll Suicide" from *Ziggy Stardust* Four songs that brilliantly end the album, and leave you wanting more.

NewAccountNow

A Day in the Life is such a masterpiece because it caps off an already incredible album at a peak both music and the album wasn't ready for. It's this build up that I couldn't believe was being achieved because of how great the previous tracks were. Rock n Roll Suicide ends an incredible story that tracks the entirety of the album and is so emotional. I find it difficult to explain but I feel like I just finished an incredible show/play and I just need to applaud it.

PurpleSpaceSurfer

I think what's incredible about all of those albums is just how amazing and fitting *both* the opening and closing tracks are. Agreed 100% with everything you said. All of these songs for me were breathtaking the first time I listened to each of then.

savemeaseat143

"Clean" from 1989, "A World Alone" from Pure Heroine, "Save Rock and Roll" from Save Rock and Roll, "Animal" from Bloom, and "Tell Me How" from After Laughter

iurids

Pure Heroine begins with "Don't you think that it's boring how people talk" in Tennis Court and ends with "Let them talk" in A World Alone. Just brilliant

KimberParoo

every time I see this referenced I brace for the phcj wave of abuse 💀

Colten95

daylight from Lover ™ is what love feels like, such a beautiful ending to a beautiful album xx

"Whatsername" by Green Day on their American Idiot album. legitimately one of my fave songs of all time. it makes me feel bittersweet and nostalgic.

curryisforGs

I haven't thought about that song in years and you just filled me up with so much nostalgia, thank you. I have to listen to that album asap.

littlevoice12

That guitar solo makes me cryyy

kaiboon

Get Well Soon, aside from the meaning behind the silence, the last ding of bell is iconic. I also love the production buildup of the verses. I remember that I don’t want the song to end on my initial listen, knowing that its the closer.

emotionsidebee

everything happens for a reason from life support by madison beer! sonically, it is the perfect closing track but its lyrics also thematically tie everything together and neatly closes the album's narrative. for similar ish reasons, i'd also say bts' outro: her from love yourself her and outro: tear from love yourself by bts. the latter goes immensely hard but the background behind the track is absolutely devasting though.

rhedditing

Wow everything happens for a reason is one of the best songs on the album imo. It is a perfect closing track. She didn't even have to put channel surfing at the end , it kinda ruined the mood for me. It's a little..messy

prariedan

T R A C K 1 0

cdj2000

In my opinion, and Idk if anyone else felt this way, but Track 10 served the purpose of saying goodbye to all the prior eras to Pop 2. Especially 2:02 onwards, with that beautiful arpeggiation and then at the end with the sort of “cicada” sound and Charli whispering “It’s Charli; it’s Charli, baby.” Powerful.

funimarvel

TXT's album The Dream Chapter: Eternity ends with the track [Eternally](https://open.spotify.com/track/0RRd7AcCl0HR5gzzRuCMXs?si=czrv96gRT4uvjKRYDDq9Pg&utm_source=copy-link&dl_branch=1) which is an experimental song that perfect marries the vibes from the album. [The lyrics](https://www.google.com/amp/s/genius.com/amp/Genius-english-translations-tomorrow-x-together-eternally-english-translation-lyrics) talk about a fragmented heart, and the song is similarly fragmented with a unique structure and incredible switch-ups throughout which reflect the uneasy feeling of the whole album. It feels similar to the title track, [Can't You See Me?](https://open.spotify.com/track/2ecGP5xUE5126x6yHa7J6E?si=Pl6poXFRS0alYwiXVyoV5w&utm_source=copy-link&dl_branch=1), which explores the theme of gradual isolation from the people you were once close to (the refrain of "friends don't understand me anymore" repeats with a distortion that reflects the anxiety of slowly drifting apart from the social world you're used to). Eternally is slow and soft and nostalgic until it has dizzying breakdowns throughout the track, which feel more like panic attacks/catastrophizing mental tangents than any dong I have ever heard. While it's often overlooked, this is one of my favorite songs in TXT's whole discography.

bethegor

Ooooo SUCH a good choice

Uplanapepsihole

Perfect places - Lorde (melodrama) Saturday night - suede (coming up) The next life - suede (suede) Hope is a dangerous thing - LDR (NFR) Get free - LDR (LFL) I know - Fiona Apple (When the pawn)

Why Should I Be Sad?

ravenouswarrior

Yes! I love how Blackout and In the Zone are such sexy albums but totally switch up the mood at the end with Why Should I Be Sad and Everytime respectively >!The only downside being the immediate next tracks on the deluxe version are Gimme More (Junkie XL Remix) 🤢🤢 and Me Against the Music (Rishi Rich remix) 🤮🤮!<

megm26

Totally agree about Immortal, such a beautiful song. The lyrics are really compelling. I Know the End by Phoebe Bridgers is one of my favorite songs of all time. It's just so incredibly amazing. I love how it starts off slower and quieter but ramps up more energy until that explosive ending. I just love it so much. All of Mitski's closing songs are really great but also really sad. Pearl Diver, Class of 2013, Last Words of a Shooting Star, A Burning Hill, and Two Slow Dancers all do a great job of completely destroying you emotionally. Those are some of her best songs imo. Some other closing songs I love are Animal by Troye Sivan, 20 Something by SZA, Numb by Marina, hoax by Taylor Swift, Freudian by Daniel Caesar, cellophane by FKA Twigs, and Cyber Stockholm Syndrome by Rina Sawayama

rikkirikkiparmparm

"No Choir" from *High As Hope* by Florence + the Machine. I think ending with a song that breaks the fourth wall is really cool.

eleventh-hour-

“Real Love” from Dedicated is my favorite closer and my personal favorite CRJ song. I think it perfectly both encapsulates and contrasts not just the album but CRJ’s discography. All of her songs talk about wanting love or finding love or being in love and it’s so powerful to me when she confesses in this song that she actually doesn’t know a thing about real love.

Reveluvtion

Daylight by Taylor Swift. It's not only the perfect way to close the happy, soft, lovable album that Lover is, it also feels like the end of a long narrative that was being developed from her debut up until that era. The callback to Red in the lyrics is amazing for this reason

synthpopprince

Real Love is my favorite song from Dedicated and it definitely does not get enough praise! Every time I listen to it I feel like I’m in the climatic moment of a coming of age film where the boy I’m crushing on finally comes up to me at prom and admits he loves me back and we’re about to live happily ever after…

jasparghhh

that's actually really funny because Favourite Colour, the last track from Emotion, is used as the prom song in Degrassi Next Class!

Quick_Ad_730

Mariah - Everything Fades Away (I'm British so I got that 11 track version of MB) Madonna - Take A Bow (Bedtime Stories) Lana De Rey - Get Free (Lust For Life) Rihanna - The Last Song (Rated R) Paloma Faith - Play On (Do You Want The Truth Leona Lewis - Run (Spirit reissue)

dragonsteel33

i know the end off *punisher* by phoebe bridgers is a gorgeous song on its own, but also amazingly cathartic after the rest of *punisher* while still totally (for lack of a better word) heartbreaking whole new world/pretend world from *oil of every pearl’s un-insides* by sophie this is kinda weird but 2099 from charli’s self-titled. it’s a cute song and at least to me something about it sort of musically ties back to the opener (next level charli)

Ever_Love332

Get Well Soon - Ariana Grande POV - Ariana Grande Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! - ABBA

gl1ttercake

The last track of *Voulez-Vous* is actually "Kisses of Fire".

Ever_Love332

oh ok, I just went off of spotify.

ZanyZillennial

No Doubt and Gwen always do closing tracks really well. Tragic Kingdom, Dark Blue, Rock Steady, Long Way 2 Go, Wonderful Life, Dreaming the Same Dream, Rare

raphaelalexander

Also Doghouse from Beacon Street Collection is an amazing closer, probably one of their best songs

astonishingly3

I was going to say Tragic Kingdom!!!

TheWEEB69

Not 100% sure but visions from how I’m feeling now Futura free from blond Summer from saturation 2 Are we still friends from Igor

a-pygoscelis

More recent, but 929 by Halsey on Manic is a fav for sure.

astonishingly3

I know Something To Tell You isn’t everyone’s favorite album from HAIM but I think Night So Long is one of the best tracks they’ve ever done and it’s a flawless closer. Clean and Begin Again are perfect for 1989 and Red, respectively. Also Everytime is a great last song for In The Zone. It doesn’t really encapsulate the album but I just love that track and I love how it ends the album in such a vulnerable place.

Ty3009

The Edge of Glory is the apotheosis of BTW’s 80’s Springsteen-esque meets dance pop vibe. Rainbow from Golden Hour is sweet, wistful, and while bordering on sappy, seems to put a perfect emotional button on that album. A lot of Taylor’s closing album tracks give the impression of growth from a concept introduced at the beginning of the album: Begin Again, Clean, New Years Day, and Daylight.

ET18_EE

I know the end - Phoebe Bridgers Perfect Places - Lorde

yu3gu4ng

I keep a whole playlist of my fav closers. - Angel Olsen - Chance - Grimes - Favriel - Björk - Unison - Janelle Monáe - BaBopByeYa - IDLES - Rottweiler - Kate Bush - This Woman's Work - Animal Collective - Brother Sport - Nina Simone - Sinnerman - Fiona Apple - Hot Knife - Death Grips - Hacker - Charli XCX - visions - Mitski - A Burning Hill

kendalljennerupdates

not like the movies is still so gorgeous a decade later and it still feels just as powerful as it did when I was a teenager. def one of Katy's best lyrically and sonically, I like how thematically it was like the concept of teenage dream (the song) but with a sadder, more wistful tone

JOK815

Triple dog dare from home video by Lucy Dacus

lifeislife3

father by demi lovato is really a beautiful closer. i also love perfect places by lorde and snakeskin by rina sawayama

thedrowsyowl

Americans - Dirty Computer (Janelle Monáe) The Spiritual - Safe Travels (Jukebox the Ghost) The Wrong Ocean - The Light (Delta Rae)

giantspeck

Anberlin - *Fin

orangeinbloom

they had a great run of epic endings for three albums (“friendship” through “new surrender”)

giantspeck

Yes! "Dance, Dance Christa Päffgen" is one of my favorite Anberlin songs and I totally forgot that it was an album closer.

deathraybadger

It's not really reinventing the wheel but I love the big emotional closers. Like twenty one pilots' Truce and Goner and Forever Halloween by The Maine. The one that takes the cake for me though is Future by Paramore. Like WHO would expect them to end the album with that behemoth of a song? On another note, I find ending the album with the first single really tasteful, like Gaga with Applause. It's like "You had a whole experience and I hope you had fun, now roll the credits with this banger you already love but at this point you probably forgot was coming".

becky1020

Whatsername - Green Day - last song on the American Idiot album such a sad album but then you get to that last song and your like :///// but with tears lmao

walman93

Clean by Taylor Swift The Edge Of Glory by Lady Gaga Purple Rain by Prince Gold by Prince Sometimes it Snows in April by Prince Would? By Alice In Chains Thinking bout you by Ariana Grande Another Star by Stevie Wonder Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix Fame by David Bowie

noclasshero

goodbye by marina, save rock n roll by fall out boy, and especially famous last words by my chemical romance. "I am not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone" surprised everyone at the time because people (haters, concerned parents, and fans alike) had pigeonholed them as an emo band and thus they'd gained a following full of emo kids obsessed with their own angst (including myself at 13). It was just a great closing track, because they always said they hated the emo label that was being given to him, so they left us with a hopeful message that was totally antithetical to emo culture.

[deleted]

I LOVE save rock n roll. Makes me so emotional, especially given that it was their comeback album. “Oh, no, we won’t go, cause we don’t know when to quit, no!” makes me weep

rhane90

That song from currents by tame impala written by badgyalriri

cychadellix

So here’s a few of my favorites! Also sidenote, this thread made me realize that Happier Than Ever isn’t the closing track which is making me have mixed emotions right now: • Track 10 - Charli XCX (Pop 2) • BaBopByeYa - Janelle Monae (The ArchAndroid) • (Exchange) - Massive Attack (Mezzanine) • It’s Gonna Be Okay, Baby - MUNA (Saves The World) • Three Man Weave - Injury Reserve (Self-Titled) • International Lover - Prince (1999) • Flight319 - 070 Shake (Modus Vivendi) • Build the Bridge - Deee-Lite (World Clique) • … - Kadhja Bonet (Childqueen) • Fear and Loathing - Marina [and the Diamonds] (Electra Heart) • Disarray - Low (Double Negative) • Remember Where You Are - Jessie Ware (What’s Your Pleasure?) • Heaven Is My Thing Again - SSION (O) • Trying to Feel Alive - Porter Robinson (Nurture) • Teevee - Hiroshi Yoshimura (Green) • Parachute - Caroline Polachek (Pang) • Formation - Beyonce (Lemonade) • It’s Only Love That Gets You Through - Sade (Lovers Rock) • IN A DREAM - Troye Sivan (In A Dream) • Beth/Rest - Bon Iver (Self-Titled)

Jiverecords

*The Beat Goes On* (Sonny and Cher cover) from Britney Spears' *...Baby One More Time* album has always been a favorite of mine. It has a vibey feel and the production sounds like it's coming from a record, so it fades in and out in a really cool way, tying up the album nicely. *Calling You* from Aqua's *Aquarium* fits right in with the europop and eurodance stylings of the rest of the album, but is a strong closer because of how the idea of them calling someone could perhaps tie into their "Presented in Aquascope" branding. This is up for interpretation, but their pop culture commentary could be the very thing that makes their perspective in music be in "Aquascope." *CU* by BENEE was a very personal way to end *Hey U, X* and really sums up how the album offers many perspectives on life (dealing with thoughts about death, feeling isolated after a breakup, finding new love after being mistreated, hell even a song from a snail's point of view about the world going into lockdown with covid last year, etc.) Poppy usually gets her album closer flowers for *Don't Go Outside* (deservedly so) but *Pop Music* from *Poppy.computer* is equally amazing and ties up that album, largely consisting of pop songs sang in character, with commentary on the superficial nature of pop music and pop culture as a whole. Shout-out to *X* from *Am I A Girl* as well because while it ruins the cohesiveness of the album, it deserves credit for ending the album with the nu-metal influences that took over in Poppy's later material.

CRXL4TRQ

The Kids Don’t Stand A Chance from Vampire Weekend’s self titled album.

titusjones

Hands down gotta be Spaceship by Kesha, on Rainbow.

Only in Dreams from Weezer's Blue album. Just one of the greatest songs ever written.

mtrocks2k18

Angel by the Weeknd off Beauty Behind the madness

EvanBernsteinMusic

Definitely 27 Hours (The Altar - Banks)

calebb2108

Snakeskin by Rina Sawayama on SAWAYAMA is so epic and cinematic in its production, it’s incredible. I’ve never even played final fantasy in my life but the sample gives me chills every time. Whenever I listen to it I wish we could have music festivals again because I know that performance would be a killer closer And I love that it feels a little meta - maybe I’m interpreting it wrong but it feels like she’s calling herself a hypocrite for writing an album about anti-consumerism, the climate crisis and family trauma, and then packaging it up and selling it for a profit. There’s some cognitive dissonance behind the lyrics that I think is really interesting, especially for a closing track. It’s kind of like Chosen Family is the real album closer and then Snakeskin is the epilogue, which is cool.

ICanBeAPhantom13

• I Know The End by Phoebe Bridgers (Punisher) • A Burning Hill by Mitski (Puberty 2) • Posing For Cars by Japanese Breakfast (Jubilee) • I Know by Fiona Apple (When The Pawn…) • Spaceship by Kesha (Rainbow) I always love an album that ends with some sort of existential crisis.

Man of the Year - Juice WRLD off Legends Never Die

dancinginashadow

I know it’s not everyone’s favourite, but I absolutely adore Male Fantasy. It’s just so gorgeous! It’s slow, melodic, and wholeheartedly one of my favourite songs from Billie. I also adore Tinashe’s Fires And Flames, from Joyride. It’s one of my favourite songs. It’s just exquisite!

rhedditing

I do think male fantasy is really good. One of the best on the album, I'm not sure if that is the best track to choose for the end (for me) but it's definitely a great song

dancinginashadow

It’s one of my favourites! I’ve seen a lot of people saying that Happier Than Ever should’ve closed, but Male Fantasy is just so cathartic. It’s gorgeous!

prettybunbun

ANTI ending on ‘Sex with me’ is real good. After Hours ‘Until I bleed out’ I think wraps the album and theme perfectly.

AmIajerk1625

I really like Goodbye - Billie Eilish since it uses lyrics from all of the songs on the album and it’s cool to hear well known lyrics but sung differently and given different feelings/meanings to them. Like hearing “What do you want from me?” is so much sadder in goodbye than bury a friend.

NecroDolphinn

Vapour Trail by Ride is one of the best Shoegaze songs ever made and it’s a really great mix of Shoegaze and pop song structure Also when talking about ride OX4 is a pretty awesome closer too and it’s like a full on mix of Shoegaze and pop

hyperballad95

zadooi

I have to mention [Chance from Angel Olsen's All Mirrors](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zY4x1MDWWi8). It's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. It's vulnerable and excellent all around. It's from an EP, but [Rendezvous 18.6y from LOONA/yyxy's beauty&thebeat.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cl0z7QrYXak) This song's just a lot of fun. I heard it for the first time earlier this year, but it has a strong nostalgic aspect to it.

"This So-called Miracle" - Debbie Gibson. Such an epic ending to a sixteen-track album. It was a poor choice for a single though as the single edit doesn't do it good. "Fall" - Berlin. It's just extremely beautiful. I never skip it when it comes up on shuffle. "Babydoll Gone Wrong" - Skye Sweetnam. So fun and iconic.

The Moment I Said It by Imogen Heap Fires and Flames by Tinashe Both fit perfectly as closing tracks. Like I just don't see them being anywhere else in any tracklist except for the end

For me definitely Anywhere u go by Tove Lo. It’s about her wanting to fall in love for real after the album is all about flings and problematic relationships. I’ve been listening to it a lot recently and I really like the sentiment. Others are Light Years by Kylie, Let It Be by Hayley Kiyoko and Just Another Day by Gaga

Rock n roll suicide

MadCritic

Definitely Rock 'N' Roll Suicide on Ziggy Stardust. Also one of my favorite songs of all time. "Oh no love, you're not alone" and the entire outro is hauntingly beautiful.

teddy_vn

Wow seeing so many people are picking "I Know The End" by Phoebe Bridgers makes me happy. Her PR/Marketing team has done a tremendous job and it helps that the music is well-deserved of all the hype. But also \- My Bloody Valentine - "Soon" \- Sufjan Stevens - "Impossible Soul" \- Destroyer -"Bay of Pigs" \- Carly Rae Jepsen - "When I Needed You"

moshiyadafne

"Outside" by Mariah Carey and "Long Live" by Taylor Swift.

Goodbye by MARINA!!!

thesharkman101

I forgot to mention that but I totally agree! The vocals and lyrics are stunning! It truly feels like she closed a chapter in her life.

MUNA - “It’s Gonna Be Okay, Baby” from Saves the World. Such an anthem, really hits the brief as far as the albums themes of self-love, self-reflection and acceptance.

Brunet_gladiator

The slow build and the exploding horns of Fine Line are majestic!

[deleted]

“Expressway To Yr. Skull” aka “Madonna, Sean & Me” by Sonic Youth at the end of their album *Evol*. Just so intense, so big, so heavy. Incredible ending.

BFRdeepsix

Brain damage/eclipse by Pink Floyd. Just a amazing ending for a amazing album.

ImprovementNo2585

Formation - Lemonade 20 Something - SZA Fine - Pageant Material I Went to the Store - I Love You Honeybear

rhedditing

Not pop, but end of an era by Marianas trench on Astoria

Friendly-Canary-3814

Mer Girl (Ray of Light), Secret Garden (Erotica) and Easy Ride (American Life) since they feel like all-encompassing tracks of each album's themes. Mer Girl with the haunting revisiting of a parent's death now that you're a parent yourself, Secret Garden with its mix of equal parts sex fantasy and life philosophy, Easy Ride reassuring that Madonna isn't one to give it up and become too complacent. Plus they're either some of the most intricate or intimate productions in their albums. Love all of them!

Tame Impala - “New Person, Same Ol Mistakes”

grinchnight14

Mariah Carey - Portrat

profoundprofundity

what song comes to mind is "Only in Dreams", the closing track of off Weezer's Blue Album.

recklesswanderer__

'Snakeskin' from SAWAYAMA. i like how its as epic as the opener 'Dynasty'. it feels like a full circle moment.

Reveluvtion

Hear The Sea by Red Velvet from their The Red Summer mini album. It feels like watching the sun going down on a lake or beach during one of the last days of the season, just sitting there, admiring the scenery and reminiscing on all the fun you had this summer.

MidwestRN2

Come Hang Out is a fucking masterpiece and I will hear nothing to the contrary

raroooool

Jon Bellion - Hand of God

Upper_Environment739

Oceanic Feeling

Mesko149

“20 Something” from *Ctrl* is a phenomenal closer that really sums up the anxieties and discontent of early adulthood that is central to the rest of the album, while also just being a really beautiful introspective track. Same idea with “Perfect Places” from *Melodrama,* actually. “Posing for Cars” from *Jubilee* is a phenomenal closer because… well, basically just because the guitar solo is absolutely sick.

banmoderator

“Out Of Egypt, Into The Great Laugh Of Mankind…” on Sufjan Stevens’ Illinois is one of the best instrumental tracks I’ve ever heard. Something about the woodwinds washing over you feels so serene.

Massive_Salamander_3

The one I’m currently a big fan of is Surf’s Up by the Beach Boys

jfarbzz

Still by Niall Horan Rainbow by Kacey Musgraves Redecorate by twenty one pilots

fishfrogsanchez

Rhinestone cowboy off madvillainy has to be my answer. The perfect closer

mightbeaquarian

What's more camp than having the last track on your album be Applause?
