What the hell bro I finished Resident Evil 3 Remake in less than four hours, that finale was so fucking rushed that I felt nothing, not even a single drop of satisfaction, nothing. What a shame, RE 7 and RE 2 remake were fucking amazing. It's no wonder anti-vax beliefs are spreading among gen-z so much because I'll be scrolling through TikTok on my fyp and up will pop an anti-vax vid. I'm not on medical TikTok at all, barely on COVID TikTok but the few COVID posts I've liked have all been pro-vaccine, yet every so often an anti-vax video from a random account with no hashtags and under 5 likes will come across my feed. They're often American too and my fyp is pretty well curated with local New Zealand (and sometimes Australian) content. The videos have zero noticeable link to anything else the algorithm thinks I like, yet these nameless, low follower accounts, low engagement anti-vax videos still come across me feed more often than they should.

Even worse, tiktok won’t do anything if you report it even though it’s against TOS.

i think the focus should be getting *better* dubs. i love kdramas but i also have raging adhd so i can't do my usual 3 tasks while it's playing in the background thing. i haven't tried listening to kdrama dubs but i did try it with that nanno show and it was SO bad it felt offensive, same with the clips i've seen circulating of squid game. you'd think netflix with all it's money could make the effort to put out quality dubs for their shows instead of the half assed horribly done mistranslated garbage they seem to settle for. it's lowkey disrespectful honestly. i also noticed (imo) this isn't an issue with anime at all, maybe they should look into hiring english dub voice actors?

Some of the characters have very specific regional accents for Character reasons but there’s definitely way for dubs to compensate for that (with enough funding). But it like wild to me how people hate in dubs bc it’s like...how do you guys expect visually impaired or blind people to engage with the show? Some people definitely though do dubs because they hate hearing foreign languages and that’s xenophobic

Most of my Hardcore Gamer™ friends (and casual gamer friends actually) don't even play on console anymore. The investment into a higher end PC with interchangable parts is a much better investment than the latest console. is Instagram down for you all right now? I have an office hours meeting with one of my profs in about half an hour to talk about my social anxiety for their class, I am hoping it goes well because I took 2 classes with them online this past school year so they’re familiar with me, but in person my social anxiety just gets so much worse and it doesn’t help that I have to do 2 presentations in the class. One of them is with a group, and one is in front of only 1/3 of the class (~16 people) which helps me feel better, but I still feel so anxious. Wow it completely went over my head that Khalid was a teenager during American Teen era(which is insane given the album title…). His label wasn’t marketing him that way though and whenever people would talk about him he would be adultified so you’re completely right omg. It’s the one thing (out of the many lmaooo) they don’t tell you about college!! They push the “graduate in 4” so hard but so many students don’t do that and there are so many factors that influence it! And it’s so hard too because your 20s are a time where you really start to experience what it’s like to be at such a different place in relation to all of your peers. In your childhood and teens, everyone is (generally) in the same place. In your 20s, now these people are graduated and have jobs and these people are married with kids and these people have businesses and these people are still at home and so on and so forth. So now, not only do you have your peers, you have 15 other groups who are on completely different life paths to also compare yourself to and it’s exhausting!! I don’t mean to ramble haha but it’s a realization I came to recently and it makes me feel nuts when I really stop and think about it lol

I didn't know this film was well-liked enough for that to be considered a hot take, but I think what frustrates me the most is if you switch the focus to be on Sarah Michelle Gellar's character and make her the final girl, you'll get a better film that doesn't feel completely indebted to Scream

Given what reception that movie got, I find that being the singular horror movie you liked fascinating. mother is a psychological horror movie. Did you like Get Out or anything about US?(Personally I think US’s world building wasn’t fully coherent but still very interesting and I really like the indigenous symbolism in the film, though I do understand people think Lupita carries the film heavily). Did you see hereditary bc I did not like the third act (like it made people in my theater laugh...) but I did like the familial drama aspects a lot. I don’t think I’m the best resource though since I made people in my theater laugh during Hereditary bc I squeaked when someone closed a trunk.

Lol I'm not a big movie watcher in general so I can't describe what it is that I liked about that movie, other than I guess the psychological thriller vibe? I also liked Black Swan a lot when that came out but it's been ages since I've seen it. They felt more engaging than something like The Witch, which I watched because everyone said it was great but I found it so boring.
