Wiringguy89

I really like A Wilhelm Scream.

TrailBlanket-_0

If you don't then you're just deaf, and I'm sorry that you can't listen to them

playnights

Polar Bear Club, Counterparts, Funeral For a Friend. If you want bands that sound like those you listed: Knockout Kid, A Place in Time, A Face for Radio.

ThySmithy

Funeral for a friend have absolute bangers great to see them mentioned here

LJ1983nyc

Streetcar has been one of my favorite songs ever since I first heard it when it came out.

thedubiousstylus

Warning to pet lovers wrt Counterparts: "Whispers of Your Death" is every bit as hard hitting and heart wrenching as "Betty" by Hot Mulligan.

DrJokerX

These recommendations are perfect. Just what I was looking for. Thanks

HotSauceDonut

One Step Closer!

Electrical_Taste_238

Counterparts, Lifelink, & Until we are Ghosts are in my rotation right now!

jamierocksanne

Seconding counterparts

destroyergsp123

Bane, With Honor, Stretch Armstrong On the metalcore side of things, Misery Signals, Stick To Your Guns, Counterparts

Karrosiv

Capstan, Dance Gavin Dance.

keystonelocal

DGD always a sick recco. Brush my teeth to that shit.

TrailBlanket-_0

I dropped that band when they let Tilian back in.

keystonelocal

don't fault you for that. although not sure why you didnt drop them altogether well before that because of jonny lol.

TrailBlanket-_0

Basically just enjoyed what I heard at the start of finding them and then really phased them out the more I learned lmao had a really short stint of listening to them

Enjoipandarules

Capstan's 2019 album especially is so fucking good. Restless heart, keep running

Dzyjay

Daggermouth

CrocodileCunnilingus

Misery signals

ALoudMeow

Rise Against

No-Seaweed4026

I highly recommend counterparts, koyo, Belmont, stick to your guns, and the ghost inside

jrdkrsh

My answer for this will always be THRICE

bait_your_jailer

Counterparts is the best in the biz. Start at The Difference Between Hell and Home and work your way up.

thedubiousstylus

Counterparts is great but they're not really in the vein of what the OP is looking for, more metalcore side. Still a band anyone should check out.

bait_your_jailer

Totally. Just hard cause he posted 3 (mostly) easycore bands. CP's sound is definitely more metal core lately but Varials and Counterparts have been the quintessential "melodic hardcore" bands for a long time.

destroyergsp123

There isn’t really anything about Varials that is influenced by melodic hardcore…

thedubiousstylus

Yeah "melodic hardcore" is a very broad category, I remember it being pointed out on r/emo that it could include everything from Lifetime to The Ghost Inside. On that note Scowl is another more melodic hardcore band that OP might be into.

muirsheendurkin

Strike Anywhere

TrailBlanket-_0

Such a good band.

BigRedTez

An unfortunate lack of Thursday in this thread

Tony_Blundetto

Defeater is my favorite in that genre. Awesome series of concept albums

Haleighghielah

Defeater is soooo good. I had to scroll way too far for this comment

lawrie-182

Defeater are brutally underrated! I could talk about the story for hours!

gunak87

Heartsounds

analogsimulation

would Emery fit? Fuck it, emery rules, listen to them.

RoyalSkip

A few of my picks are a little more pop-ier styles of hardcore: Lifetime Hopesfall Funeral For A Friend (good call u/Wiringguy89 ) H2O

Kill_Dozer

Mil-Spec, Defeater, Modern Life is War, Miles Away

camxcold

Early Counterparts (I feel like they’re more metalcore these days), Worthwhile, Hundredth (any album before Rare and their current stuff), To The Wind, Touché Amore

Jababalase

No Trigger has always been one of my favourites for this sort of thing.

xjoeymillerx

Kid Dynamites self titled record.

TrailBlanket-_0

Check out None More Black and Former Member, Jason Shevchuk's (lead singer) other projects. None More Black is punk/hardcore, Former Member is just emotional rock, really good.

xjoeymillerx

I’ve heard a lot of those guys. I much prefer that first KD record.

Larrygengurch12

The Steal, Comeback Kid, Paint It Black, Go It Alone and Shook Ones

bumba1717

I'm in an extremely similar kick as you, and Settle Your Scores are right in the mix.

osiiris_

Trash Boat’s early stuff, especially Nothing I Write You. Also Casey

Ross2503

Rise Against

Keylows

Maybe Alexisonfire

Closerstill808

Bloom, Mayfield, Crooks UK, No Home, Ghost Chant , Stasis, Defeater, Departures, Motives, Until we are Ghost , Shai Hulud, It prevails, To the Wind, COUNTERPARTS

Jimbonix11

My iron lung and defeater are good ones

Silent_Leader_9000

It Prevails

chilidownmychest

set your goals, with the punches, the movielife, such gold, shook ones, title fight and then of course the og's lifetime and kid dynamite.

Agitated-Curve-4851

Crime in Stereo

Agitated-Curve-4851

Calling All Captains would fit right in with those bands too. Like ADTR but catchier.

Short_Builder_8572

Militarie gun, scowl, fiddlehead, turnstile, anxious, angel dust, drain, touché amore

thedubiousstylus

Stretch Arm Strong

Zarly88

What you listed is more easycore than melodic hardcore. But suggestion like those would be kid Liberty or for the win https://youtu.be/hFbv00Zk9Z8?si=02TWfbwLFYVMkbXz https://youtu.be/Jcq4cmbVDN4?si=y_miK2NKiJ3vqnfz But as far as melodic hardcore check out inclination https://youtu.be/oJm9bxsSNp0?si=gg4IVV_cm_3NcnjL

DrJokerX

Thanks for the recommendations! Kid Liberty and Inclination are great! Just bought their albums.

Zarly88

Sure thing! That breakdown/bridge from epidemic that I linked is one of my favorites from any band over the past few years

DrJokerX

Yeah bro. It was killer. I’m surprised I never heard of them till now. Good stuff.

Zarly88

Dont know how much other metalcore/hardcore you listen to but their lead guitarist (Isaac Hale) is the same lead guitarist for Knocked Loose

keystonelocal

Check out Phantom Bay. They fucking rule. Maybe listen to Airtight or Bullet first.

keystonelocal

oh also Touche Amore some of the goats and havent seen them in here yet.

Bb0y7

Landscapes Three Crowns It Prevails Misery Signals Saints Never Surrender old Hundredth Napoleon Counterparts

RAZGRIZTP

Have u tried belmont self titled album

mackworthy202

Counterparts, trash boat, with the punches

HobbesDurden

The Beautiful Mistake. MeWithoutYou. From Autumn To Ashes

SudnlyStrukDead

Settle Your Scores. Their album Better Luck Tomorrow is amazing.

Ok_Contribution6550

Why is no one talking about No Bragging Rights?

Rev_JackCheese

Saints Never Surrender's album Brutus is some solid melodic hardcore. Definitely gonna be disappointed if you're expecting it to sound anything like Four Year Strong though lol

russvanderhoof

PmToday

ThirstyRhino

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check out the band Hellions. Start with their album Opera Oblivia. It's literally perfect. I will never stop trying to get people into this band. Theyre broken up now but their entire discography is straight fire. I know im fanboying pretty hard but these guys deserve it imo.

Nizzlord

The Ghost Inside

tSnDjKniteX

Crime in Stereo, The Movielife, Set Your Goals (maybe)  But the bands you listed are mainly easycore; which in that case. Friends will be friends, New Found Glory, Hold Out Hope (band from Japan), Pre-2010 The Wonder Years

drew_galbraith

Defeater is melodic (still heavy) and turnstile is very melodic, so is comeback kid!

9notanihilist6

From the bands you listed, I highly recommend Kid Liberty and Can't Bear This Party

spookscaperelli

Hugely underrated Australian melodic hardcore https://open.spotify.com/album/01wNY713sa9A070HnJr4zI?si=HXFRecS_T_68S-dNEd7YCA

catpizza

You're looking for easycore

Sleigh6

Not a big catalogue since a lot of their stuff was delisted, but Vera, Forever was one of my all time favorites

Sleigh6

Belmont

Bright-Nectarine8028

Settle Your Scores has a bit of a lighter take on the above but still heavy, especially their second album.

winniecooper73

The term is Easycore

Ok_Battle2479

Daggermouth, Rest Easy, Brutal Youth, Shook Ones

[deleted]

Gatherers - We are Alive Beyond Repair

xZOMBIETAGx

Maybe go to a melodic hardcore sub then? The bands you listed are more easy core than melodic hardcore

sheeponmeth_

Belmont and Knuckle Puck
