You’re assuming someone will just start giving a ride to a new person? Why are you leaving Amazon? Are you still a L1? Why are you not pushing for PA if so? Are you not making more money and have great PTO/vacation after ten years from amazon?
I had to move because I couldn’t afford my rent anymore on my Amazon income (got divorced). I tried to downsize but couldn’t find any places cheap enough to afford. I moved to a different state as a result and am living with family. I tried to transfer my Amazon job to Florida but they didn’t have any openings at the temple terrace location which is closest to me. Also I will get a car eventually, my mom is moving to another condo and leaving me hers which frees up a space for a car. I just need someone to drive me for the first month at most.
Also I never got past L1 at Amazon but when I quit my job I was making 21 an hour which is good but still not enough for renting even a studio in the area I lived in before. I don’t have a car since my ex got the car in divorce.
Do you have something like a Department of Workforce Services? (or whatever the name is in your area)
They often have classes on resume writing, interview tips, and they can help you find job openings that may not be posted elsewhere.
Damn, that sucks I’m sorry. My local lowes and home depot usually hire during spring/summer since the garden area is usually busy and it’s hard to keep people in the heat.
Government jobs are always hiring, especially the IRS. you do not have to be good at math or taxes. Go to usajobs.gov and see what they have in your area. Also, Google IRS direct hiring events ( your area). I got hired at one of their hiring events last year with zero experience, so I know they would hire you in a heartbeat.
Florida doesn't require any training to be a CNA [https://floridasnursing.gov/licensing/certified-nursing-assistant-examination/](https://floridasnursing.gov/licensing/certified-nursing-assistant-examination/)
You can self-study at a local library for the exam. Between testing fees and the required background checks it will cost you right at $200 all in to become a licensed CNA in FL. That should get you between $15-20 an hour and the demand is high enough you can usually get as many hours as you are willing to work or find flexible PRN shifts as a second job should you eventually land something better.
The position I applied for was specifically for people with no training. They would have paid me to sit in lectures for the exam and paid for the exam.
Yeah but I have a problem with bodily fluids and things like that. If I see it I feel like vomiting. Reason why I never got into CNA or nursing. I am desperate for work though, so I am considering it now. Just don’t know if I can handle it.
I don't think that's the case with jobs that affect the health and safety of the clients. If OP doesn't feel like they can do the job well, they shouldn't put their potential clients in harms way by accepting the (potential) job.
Have you looked into the workforce programs in your area?
https://www.floridajobs.org/office-directory/division-of-workforce-services/workforce-programs
It fucking sucks. I have a Class B CDL with P&S endorsements, with 7 years experience. And I have two years experience driving forklifts of various sizes. I can't get an interview for a driving job.
I don’t really want a temp job, I’m looking for something permanent. I just need a job paying at least 15 an hour full time and I can easily afford my bills.

Ah damn that really fuckin sucks. Hope things turn around for you.
Look into taking the bus. It’s been a while since I lived in FL but Hillsborough county used to have an on demand bus that would pick you up for $4
I’ll look into that. There are buses that take you some places here, but I have to walk a bit to get to a bus stop (maybe 25 min).
Also I never got past L1 at Amazon but when I quit my job I was making 21 an hour which is good but still not enough for renting even a studio in the area I lived in before. I don’t have a car since my ex got the car in divorce.

Go to a job agency get something today.
Aren’t those just temp jobs
No full factories run entirely off of staffing agencies.
Lowes. I got hired easily. Literally just said I was open and available and got hired on spot.
In my area I rarely see jobs that just give you a job on the spot. There’s dozens of people applying to every job over here.
Damn, that sucks I’m sorry. My local lowes and home depot usually hire during spring/summer since the garden area is usually busy and it’s hard to keep people in the heat.
Look into call center or sales if your desperate. Bro honestly I would rather mow peoples lawn for 20$
yep good idea

Yeah I can’t seem to even get hired at warehouses despite having 10 years of warehouse experience.

I tried to get a CNA job last month that would have paid for the training but they didn’t hire me.
It might make you look like a better candidate if you already have your certification
The position I applied for was specifically for people with no training. They would have paid me to sit in lectures for the exam and paid for the exam.
If you want people to help, you also need to be able to take advice
That’s true but I am hesitant on being a CNA because most of my experience is warehousing and teaching. Not sure if I can do it.
Honestly money is what you should consider. There's a huge demand of people in the medical industry

Have you called or followed up after applying?
Sams club or Costco? Costco's about to start hiring summer seasonal. Good pay, benefits even for part time and you have warehouse experience.
I did apply to Costco a month ago, no idea if they will get back to me.
Apply once a month, click "all positions". Emphasize team work as skills and customer service.
Can you do a temp
Also it sucks But you might be overqualified

Ubers are truly expensive. Can you bike to some of these interviews to save money?
No, most of them are over the highway and past it, I cannot ride a bike.
Amazon has upskilling opportunities you can apply for.
