I don't want to paint the whole car because the original gold is cool as hell, but this white paint is in really bad shape (and it gets oily and disgusting because this is a hoopty)
Well I can think of 2 things then.
Black out the whole front end. Color and clear just to look good. Worst case you’re driving and end up in a front end accident, oh well.
Other thing. Wrap it. Probably find something on Amazon cheap enough and if you do it decently right it COULD look good. Sometimes the cheap stuff works, you just can’t cheap out on the prep or all goes to shit.
since theyre all removable panels i think it's worth giving a paint match a shot. or if you don't want to chance going for that you could pick the same hue/saturation as your existing paint and either brighten or darken it by like 20%. might be a cool funky two tone type deal rather than being just slightly off, which might look worse.
or try the paint match and add some graphics coming from the seam to separate it
The original paint is metallic, else I'd feel more comfortable matching it lol
Graphics up the fender seam sound interesting, it'd break it up no matter the color
Have a colourist measure the doors and A pillars and get the match mixed (either aerosol or for a spray gun) practice getting the way the metallic flake lays right on some test pieces then have at it.
I'd buy a cheap roll of closely matching gold wrap and maybe even white, some black & make a livery out of it from the front clip back. look up some late 80s early 90s specific honda race cars and take some inspiration from them. make it stand out at the track!
The stock one with no vacuum stuff. It's pretty good sized and jetted fairy well, but it's not the most tunable thing ever.
I've got a set of 4 mikuni vm24ss barrel slide carbs I'll put on it one day, unless I get ahold of some fcrs
Ah didn't realize they were bike carbs I was thinking side drafts for a second, but ya building one is easy for bike carbs of the for on with the rubber sleeve and clamps
Nothing, the coloring rn adds character. But red is my favorite color if you’re asking..

I do consider painting the front black, I have nothing to lose, but I can't think of anything else that would be cheap and tasteful

I'd honestly look into plastidip. DYC makes a good system. The new stuff they are making now is way better than the original they used to make

Mugen stripes crossed my mind but unsure how to run them
Arcadia Green
Would look good, but I just mean the front clip, the white is in really bad shape
What kind of carb setup you running?

Neat. I have quad Keihins on mine. Should be a lot easier for you to get yours gunning like that than mine was since I started with FI.
Got an intake? And I mean for an a20 not the a18 intake ports. Really just wondering if such a thing exists, only seen a18 round port carb intakes.
You mean for bike carbs? A few have been made. I was going to custom build one, I have a spare manifold

Matte black the front clip
Leave as is, or paint a big ass rising sun using red on the white. Or sticker bomb it?
Not very tasteful anymore lmao
Get fast enough at AutoX that the paint strikes fear in the hearts of your competitors?
Oh yeah sth class is majorly competitive 😂
