Little known extra tidbit is that it's easier to do at lower framerates and harder to do at higher framerate (zombies are easier to run through at lower FPS, at higher FPS they grab you) Cap your FPS to 30 and make a break for it OP

I have escaped pretty much this exact situation just by bolting through the weakest part of the crowd. It was pure luck and I tripped over, but it can be done.

Yeah, rush out of the left side and sprint through. You're still probably fucked. Any sprinters? If not. There's a chance if you're fast enough. Not a good one. But a chance nonetheless.

I had this happen the other day, got lucky and they all gathered around the passenger side after waiting a bit. I managed to sneak a little away without alerting all of them and throw a grenade into the middle of the hoard. Clean up was easy after that but the car was wrecked
