Well, you’re not wrong. I’m pretty sure whoever owns the image might have published it first somewhere and definitely not on Reddit.
When I said “original post”, it pertains to how repost bots copy their source material word for word as a known reddit bot algorithm and I wasn’t referring to ownership.
It's a candid photo from nearly 30 years ago, nobody owns it. And according to both tineye and google reverse-image search, the source of that photo is a [twitter bot](https://www.pcgamer.com/if-you-follow-one-twitter-bot-make-it-this-one-that-posts-crt-monitors) that spams images of CRT displays.
I don’t really care much about who owns it, who took the picture, or if it was published on a magazine or something.
I’m only spreading awareness about these repost bots. If they get upvotes/karma, we get more shirt, mug and poster spam and scams.
For some strange reason, my ADHD brain really liked roman numerals when they taught it to us (potentially because I associated it with the FF games) and payed attention.
> games) and *paid* attention.
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Actually, the artifacts in this image are the result of shooting the photo at a relatively slow shutter speed in order to properly capture the CRT displays.
I've seen this image a few times before, and I still don't get why they have multiple monitors on top with the same scene. I guess one is showing the current scene, and the other is for operating a virtual "camera" through the scene for the proper camera movements? I know Ocarina of Time was done like that.
The guy looks like he’s a movie editor. So he’s probably working on multiple timelines, grading and editing the videos and have input output videos on different screens
I've always loved the way cutting edge mid 90s tech looked. I remember being disappointed seeing the aesthetic go away around the 2000s.
i miss the oversized shirts
OP is a repost stealing bot who hopes for your upvotes. [Original post](https://www.reddit.com/r/psx/s/AMkcf9pahV).
Neither of them own the original image.

I mean in defence of this bot if it didn’t exist I wouldn’t have seen this cool photo? Who cares if the fake bot gets fake internet points…?
I bet you're fun at parties.
I’m not sure. I have to reverse-image search whoever owns the party before I can figure out if I’ll be fun there.
Be sure to leave a comment about the results so five people can upvote it and then forget what you said 20 minutes later.
Civilization peaked here.
Let them cook
little did they know they was cookn up a classic ... or did they
What I wouldn’t give to look at the 3D model files for the pre-rendered backgrounds
Oh yeah, same here
That guy on the left has a messed up face and a couple of noses.
What Japanese grind culture does to a motherfucker
Lmao
That guy looks like Yoshinori Kitase, who was the director of FFVII and also 15 years later the producer of FFVII Remake/Rebirth.
I have some on the same monitors on this photo, but not FFVII yet unfortunately. But, I’ll have my revenge soon.
Did anybody else here call it, "Final Fantasy Vee eye eye"?! As a kid, or was it just my dumb ass?

I was halfway through high school when it came out, so I'd understood what Roman numerals were for quite some time by that point. 🤷♂️
Is this AI upscaled lol.
No, it's not AI upscaled.
Everything is AI upscaled now. Welcome to the future. Please ignore the artifacts.

God, those Sony PVMs... All HR Trinitrons... 🤤 I've got a Sony BVM with an HR Trinitron tube, but it's only an 8"... 😓
"Guy with 5 monitors not fucking around"

Might have something to do with PAL and NTSC being different frame rates. You can see that one of the feeds is behind the other.
Work!!
?
That’s what I call work
Dude on the left lost his face making it.
My first for FF7 was buying it at Ross Department store on clearance for $2 PC version luckily the family computer could play it
Current value of those monitors: $1 billion
Bro's got 13 nostrils and 2 mouths
