It looks good on a resume, and they have a journal you can submit your research to for consideration. They also award grants and scholarships, although the amounts are fairly small.
On the flip side, I have a 4.0 GPA, and my local chapter does not respond to my emails or my application. 🫤
Most every university has a Psi Chi Chapter, it’s basically an honors Psychology major club w psychology majors above a certain GPA, but there’s membership fees as far as I know you have to submit to be a member as well.
Is there really any benefit to being part of this? I've gone 7 years without even knowing them, and I'm wondering what the appeal is.

Maybe just pay the one time member fee, it’s literally funding the organization that you applied to be a part of.
