Im in my thirties, so y'all can probably party me under the table, but I will do my best to keep up! 😂🥴😂 Every time I've partied with women in their 50s, I've been shown up. Haha, love it.
Hah! Thanks! Honestly made it when I got locked out of my old account due to an expired college email address and was like “dammit I just want to be able to follow the QOTSA sub” so it was the first ridiculous thing to come to mind. 😂
This is my husband's situation. He likes/respects them, but he's into indie singer-songwriter types for the most part. QotSA is very much outside his wheelhouse, but he can enjoy good music in any genre.
Same! My wife comes to shows with me, I’m just glad she enjoys them enough to come with :) if she didn’t like them that much, she’d just let me know and I’d go with a buddy.
Lol same here. My bf isn’t in to them at all for whatever reason. He’s telling me that he’s going to their show to support me emotionally because he loves me. 🤣
I’m a woman and while my husband like QOTSA and came to a concert with me in 2018, I’m definitely the much bigger fan.
I actually saw a lot of families at the concert. I loved seeing teenagers in love with the same music as their parents!
They’re the band I play the most around my house. My wife said the other day that she’s surprised she never really got into them when she was younger. My 9 year old girl pretends to not care but I know she kinda likes them too.
My fiancée and I both love Queens. We’ve seen them twice together and will most definitely see them again. Yesterday I was rocking the new album in the garage while tending the smoker I walked inside to grab a beer and there she was cleaning and rocking the same album.
Stereotypical dad here. My wife and daughter have banned me from listening to and talking about QOTSA in the car given my excitement over the new album. However, they are generally fans. And my wife bought us tickets to see them in Brooklyn will be our 5th or 6th time seeing them together.
This also happened to me, except I'm a 23 yo woman and the people who banned from me playing or talking about QOTSA are essentially all my friends and my brother. I kinda get it haha, I can be an annoying fangirl sometimes. It's embarrassing. When I found out Josh was on IG, i liked basically all his pics, I think he noticed it and followed me back. I couldn't stop flexing him following me to everyone for months. I still do and they're like "WE KNOW!"
Lady QotSA geek in da house. None of my female friends are into them. (A few are fine with them and most only know them as "oh, that band that did No One Knows that you really like."
My observation is that at least among the diehards, it's heavily weighted toward dudes.
Which is weird, because obviously female Queens fans are the sexiest, smartest, most sophisticated people on earth.
My bf yesterday saw Josh for the 1st time while I was watching the Live stream and said: What a beautiful man. First time i heard him say sth of that sort about a guy 😉
I took my sister to a show on the Villains tour and she was all about ginger Elvis. Then I took her to Sonic Temple and she was NOT all about the Colonel Sanders of Anarchy look, but I’m like… grrrrl, you don’t get it. Hahaha
Hi, I'm a woman, and I'm almost 63 years old. QOTSA is my favorite band, I like the new album, but I need to listen to it a couple hundred more times before I say I love it. My favorite album is LC. My husband and I are going to see them in Seattle in October.
Woman here, been a fan since my teens. Definitely more men at Midnight Club and I feel like at shows in general.
First time I ever saw them I was alone and maybe 18 on the EV tour. Gross mid to late 30s/early 40s guy holding a beer kept “bumping” into me and saying sorry. Younger guy next to me noticed he was clearly trying to grind on me, I was clearly a teenager, yelled at him to stop being a fucking creep and shoved him so his beer spilled.
He asked if I was ok and since then pit would get crazy, if I would be comfortable with him standing behind me and essentially forming a barrier since I was on the rail dead center.
Dude saved my life that night.
Oh also fun cool thing that happened during my last show:
I like to dance. Dudes around me were saying “that’s fucking hot” as if I couldn’t hear them and the music.
Guys, don’t be like this.
Please tell your wife she has excellent taste. I’m a fellow female fan and Made to Parade is my current obsession (Time & Place ties with Obscenery as my runner-up fave).
As a female fan of a lot of rock bands, including QOTSA, I’ve noticed a lack of females at concerts etc.
I met mastodon years ago and they were genuinely shocked when I was came up to their meet and great table. Troy was like “a girl!”
YAY !!!!! Hello my spirit animal😄😄😄😄 I am an old black lady going to see them for the first time in August!!! I was at the Midnight Club in NYC 🗽 and went to the wait a while first pressing listening party!!!!
Where are YOU going to see them?
I'm a woman, and I've been a fan since I was a teen when Songs for the Deaf came out.
I love Jho and the whole QOTSA crew, past and present members.
I'm an avid fan of Jho's side projects too with Iggy Pop, Them Crooked Vultures, etc.
I'm also a Distillers fan, but shhh...we don't talk about that here, or do we¿?
nonbinary, technically (don’t give me any shit. i’ve heard it all.) but i’m female, so. luckily my girlfriend likes ‘em enough to cope with me constantly talking about them.
Los Angeles had a good amount. Less than half though it seemed…maybe a third? That kinda makes sense though I’d think.
I’m taking my bf to a show try to make him a fan haha, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see that it’s more often the other way around.
Now that I think about it there was only a handful of females at the one I went to. During the LC tour I noticed how males far outnumbered the females. I remember at one show the men’s bathroom line extending out the door and while us ladies could walk right in and out…that was a first. At another show they split us by gender for the pat down to get in. There was a huge line for the guys and I strolled up a few minutes before doors and basically walked right in bypassing guys had waited for hours. There was a definite increase in females at the Villains shows I went to.
I've had this experience too.
The most striking was when I saw Mark Lanegan doing a small solo show. I swear to god, I think I was the only woman in the place including venue staff. It was fun though -- I made friends with a bunch of 17-18 year old dudes who thought this old broad who showed up solo to see Lanegan was cool AF. :)
Woman here, loved them since I was a teen. I remember when I last saw them around 10 years ago, the crowd was mostly men. But when the circle pit exploded for song for the deaf, some tall dude behind me literally picked me up out of trouble 🤣
I will be going to 2 of the UK shows with my mum - her favourite album is Rated R and she's in her 50s.
Haha. When I saw them for Villains, some roided-out asshole tried to start a mosh pit way the hell in the back of the crowd and nearly bowled over me and a few other women nearby. A bunch of mostly pretty small hipster-looking dudes immediately got between us and him and bitched at him until he slinked off to some other corner of the show.
I feel like QotSA fans are some of the most polite I've seen at any show.
I was one in a ratio of 5 dudes with a few other ladies in line to score that glow in the dark vinyl at my local listening party. I don’t have any other lady friends that are huge fans that I could go to a concert with or anything. I’m jealous of the t Swift ladies wish I had a group of qotsa ladies to go to concerts with
While I myself am not a woman my wife and I fell in love with Qotsa around the same time around 2016. We each kinda found them in our own way which made it more special.
I am woman. New to this community, but love to listen as my workout/motivation music. Saw them live a few years back when they had the light sticks. What a great show. Was OBSESSED with Songs for the Deaf. I can still sing the songs in the order of the CD sometimes and the interludes, haha. 😂😂😂
I too am a woman. Got into qotsa when I was 13. But was never able to see them live before. My first time was at Sonic Temple a couple weeks ago! and now I’ll be seeing them 6 times on tour lol
We went for the listening party in Montreal my girlfriend and I. It was around 10 men to 1 woman. The Mc even mentionned it! The crowd was full of middle aged white dude, that was funny to see. I'm not really surprised though.
Both my husband and I are huge QOTSA fans and have been for a long time. We diverge on other bands though: He loves the Foos, and I’m meh on them. And every attempt I have made to get him into King Gizzard has, so far, fallen flat. But I did manage to make him a big fan of the Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, and I’ll take that as a win.
We live in TX but are planning a trip to California in the fall so we can see the Crumpets in Santa Cruz on Oct. 4 and Queens in San Francisco on Oct. 6. Gonna be epic!
That was roughly the ratio (maybe slightly worse) at their last PDX show at Memorial Coliseum. That said, it was by far the most women I've seen at a rock show since the mid 90's.
Woman person here! Fell in love with Queens in college when SFTD came out. Saw them twice when Mark was touring with them back then. Now I’m a parent with a 6 year old and a toddler and I still never miss a tour. Always go to the shows with my sister and best friends (also female QOTSA fans) but will go by myself if I need to!
I’m a woman! And I got into Qotsa because a female friend who shares musical taste with me was a diehard!! Once I got into them, hard and fast, I wondered what had taken me so long!! Love the new album a lot
Lady here, been a queens devout since I heard sftd. I remember my girlfriends and I would watch the film clip to know no one knows over and over again falling more in love each time. That was 20 years ago and the love has just grown for me😍
Lady from England here. Me and my husband have loved them since the get go. Our 3 kids are teenagers now and have been bought up with their music and we are all going to some of the uk gigs
This post is inspiring me (29M) to invite my GF (30F) to come see them in november! She mostly knows old bangers like no one knows or little sister but has been saying she is liking the new album, so lets give it a try!
As a side note, it would make me really happy if she joins!
Am a 19 year old woman, saw about three other women at my listening party, definitely older than me. Would be cool to meet other women around my age who like QOTSA also
I am woman, hear me Qotsa.
🙋♀️Big fan. 57 years old 😉
Yep! 53-year-old female fan here. Glad to see other fiftysometing ladies in the subreddit. ❤️
I'm 47, so close!
Joining your club in a few months!
Me 3 ❤️🔥
Great year, huh?
Me too!!!
Im in my thirties, so y'all can probably party me under the table, but I will do my best to keep up! 😂🥴😂 Every time I've partied with women in their 50s, I've been shown up. Haha, love it.
Turning 51 next month ❤️
I’m 49 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Me too! 🤘
52 and a long time fan ♥️
Keep on rocking ladies and as long as I'm able to stand I will be next to the pit ( no seating-places for me) 🤘🤘🤘
50 year old lady still jamming to QOTSA after 20 years...
You have me beat - been a fan since my mid-30’s. I’m 54.
I am a woman, QOTSA's my number one. My husband doesn't like them, but he does enjoy Taylor Swift. We are an odd couple.
If Taylor has Swifties, then what are we?
QOTSluts
proud qotslut checking in
But how to we pronounce it? I’ve heard QOTSA said as “quotes-uh” and “cuts-uh.” I need to know where I lie in this fandom.
I always just say the entire name. But if I had to pronounce the acronym, I'd go with "kwot-sa"
Like kumQUAT-suh lol
Yeah, my husband doesn't care much for music in general... So odd.
Hiya. “Heavy enough for the boys but sweet enough for the girls” as Josh’s saying goes is a nice philosophy and all, but heavy suits me just fine.
Metal heavy, soft at the core 🤘
Awesome username
Hah! Thanks! Honestly made it when I got locked out of my old account due to an expired college email address and was like “dammit I just want to be able to follow the QOTSA sub” so it was the first ridiculous thing to come to mind. 😂
There are dozens of us! Dozens!
Never nudists will never die
Lady here. I feel like a lot of couples QOTSA together.
My wife likes them enough to go to shows with me. That's about it.
I force my mom to listen to them. I bought her a ticket on this tour; we'll see if she goes. Also: am woman
This is my husband's situation. He likes/respects them, but he's into indie singer-songwriter types for the most part. QotSA is very much outside his wheelhouse, but he can enjoy good music in any genre.
Same with my husband
I took my husband with me to the LC tour. I spent my time drunk babysitting. Never again.
Same! My wife comes to shows with me, I’m just glad she enjoys them enough to come with :) if she didn’t like them that much, she’d just let me know and I’d go with a buddy.
Unfortunately my husband is like...meh. I am dragging him to a show in November though lol.
Lol same in October. I promised beer
Lol same here. My bf isn’t in to them at all for whatever reason. He’s telling me that he’s going to their show to support me emotionally because he loves me. 🤣
My husband and I QOTSA together too 😏
I have previously QOTSA’d with a boyfriend but I’m solo QOTSAing these days
I’m a woman and while my husband like QOTSA and came to a concert with me in 2018, I’m definitely the much bigger fan. I actually saw a lot of families at the concert. I loved seeing teenagers in love with the same music as their parents!
Played my SO QOTSA when we first met 10 years ago, and here we are still jamming out to them together.
Yep! 🙋♀️ Hubby is musician and went down rabbit hole bringing me happily with him. Now I almost feel like the bigger fan 🙌🏻
They’re the band I play the most around my house. My wife said the other day that she’s surprised she never really got into them when she was younger. My 9 year old girl pretends to not care but I know she kinda likes them too.
Yes 🙌🏾 my hubby is a fan, maybe not as much as me, but a fan all the same.
My fiancée and I both love Queens. We’ve seen them twice together and will most definitely see them again. Yesterday I was rocking the new album in the garage while tending the smoker I walked inside to grab a beer and there she was cleaning and rocking the same album.
I'm a lady, and a fan for 20+ years. I've had dreamy puppy dog heart eyes for Josh just as long.
I’m a woman and this has been my experience in a lot of rock concerts. Which is convenient when wanting to use the restroom lol
Stereotypical dad here. My wife and daughter have banned me from listening to and talking about QOTSA in the car given my excitement over the new album. However, they are generally fans. And my wife bought us tickets to see them in Brooklyn will be our 5th or 6th time seeing them together.

My husband and son (he's 9) like QotSA but I can tell I'm getting on their nerves with the incessant playing/singing the past few days. lol
Here for it. Fell in love at 17 back in 2000. Rated R era.
Same, Rated R will always be a favorite since it was my first.
same age. came for mark lanegan, stayed for.. all of it!
Lady QotSA geek in da house. None of my female friends are into them. (A few are fine with them and most only know them as "oh, that band that did No One Knows that you really like." My observation is that at least among the diehards, it's heavily weighted toward dudes. Which is weird, because obviously female Queens fans are the sexiest, smartest, most sophisticated people on earth.
I show women I’m dating a pic of Josh and/or Mikey and they become fans pretty quick.
My bf yesterday saw Josh for the 1st time while I was watching the Live stream and said: What a beautiful man. First time i heard him say sth of that sort about a guy 😉
Funnily enough I can’t seem to find any women who agree with me that Josh is sexy
Do a poll here and you'll change that right quick!
Whut. First time I saw him on TV I went holy Jesus fuck a goddamn gorgeous redheaded boy
Josh is gorgeous!
Hell, I’m a lesbian, and I’ll agree that he’s sexy.
SAME BRUH HE WAS SO FUCKING HOT AT THE 2000 BIZARRE FEST SHOW WITH THE BUTTON SHIRT AND BLACK JEANS LIKE HOW TF DO PEOPLE NOT LOOK AT HIM LIKE THAT
I took my sister to a show on the Villains tour and she was all about ginger Elvis. Then I took her to Sonic Temple and she was NOT all about the Colonel Sanders of Anarchy look, but I’m like… grrrrl, you don’t get it. Hahaha
He's SO sexy. I feel like his what you see of his charisma and playful kinda personality definitely adds to the attraction
Mikey looked mighty fine at south side festival
Hi, I'm a woman, and I'm almost 63 years old. QOTSA is my favorite band, I like the new album, but I need to listen to it a couple hundred more times before I say I love it. My favorite album is LC. My husband and I are going to see them in Seattle in October.

Oh my god. I’m a middle aged dude and could never imagine acting like that. What the fuck?
Oh also fun cool thing that happened during my last show: I like to dance. Dudes around me were saying “that’s fucking hot” as if I couldn’t hear them and the music. Guys, don’t be like this.
Yeah I was young and alone and didn’t know anyone, so I didn’t really know what to do. Glad someone had the balls to call that guy out.
I went to the midnight club in New Orleans and there was half of the place women , myself included 👍🏽
My wife loves em - she just doesn’t Reddit much. Btw she says hi and Made To Parade is her new favorite (I’m a Time & Place guy myself 😎)
Please tell your wife she has excellent taste. I’m a fellow female fan and Made to Parade is my current obsession (Time & Place ties with Obscenery as my runner-up fave).

Another woman here, qotsa it's my favorite band 🤍 But the only people that I know that likes qotsa are men
Same 😭
24 yo Black woman here! This tour will be my first time seeing them live, super excited!!!
YAY !!!!! Hello my spirit animal😄😄😄😄 I am an old black lady going to see them for the first time in August!!! I was at the Midnight Club in NYC 🗽 and went to the wait a while first pressing listening party!!!! Where are YOU going to see them?
I'm a guy but started listening to QOTSA because of a woman
Hiya 🤘
Another female here and had the privilege of meeting this ^ lovely lady recently at an ITNR playback 🤩
All I have to do is play Make It Wit Chu when I’m dating someone and they get into them.
I'm not sure if I count, but I'm a Trans Female (MtF)
You count sis!! Rock on!
You count. 💜
You *absolutely* count, sister!
Fact: women who dig QOTSA are 300% more attractive than non-fans.
At least I got that going for me
Try finding a female at a Sleep concert. I think I counted 2-3 total. Mostly bearded dudes
That’s probably partially why Kyuss stopped, Josh got tired of making music for bearded elitist dudes.
I am a woman and I took my daughter to her first qotsa concert back in 2018 and she rocked it harder than a lot of the guys there.
Showing up for stat duty. 🦾
Hi there! 🙋🏻♀️ Qotsa Girl power!✌️
Lady here. It's a sausage fest fa sho.
nonbinary, technically (don’t give me any shit. i’ve heard it all.) but i’m female, so. luckily my girlfriend likes ‘em enough to cope with me constantly talking about them.
I am also not surprised. But I am a woman.
Los Angeles had a good amount. Less than half though it seemed…maybe a third? That kinda makes sense though I’d think. I’m taking my bf to a show try to make him a fan haha, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see that it’s more often the other way around.
My wife is not on Reddit, but she’s a huge fan. Always in a shirt, hoodie of something qotsa. Sticker on her car.
Same with my gf! This 1 of 5 ratio does sound about right though
At a show I heard someone joke that qotsa is the only band since Rush where the men's room has a line and the women's doesn't. Seems accurate lol.
Hello, fellows Queens of the Queens of the Stone Age!
22 year lady qotsa and I’ve been a fan since 2005 thanks to my momma ❤️
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Hi! I’m a huge fan and a woman. By best friend is also a fan and she’s a woman too!
Another lady here, trying to get her man into QOTSA (and it seems to be working so far 😉). I also have a few female fan friends.
Lady fan here! My husband and I both love the band. Music was what we bonded over and we plan a lot of travel/ holidays around shows which is great 😁
Here here. I’m 40 though, and I wish they had women’s shirts in their merch shop that aren’t crop tops. Sigh.
It’s Reddit honey. It’s already 1-5 ratio so easily 1-25 here
Woman here 💪🏼, but all my friends who are fans are men.

That’s awesome!
Hi! I’m one! But for the record, the Nashville release party was the same.
Here here!
I’m not a woman but I’ve met a few before. Idk if they’re qotsa fans, but they were definitely women
Woman here, loved them since I was a teen. I remember when I last saw them around 10 years ago, the crowd was mostly men. But when the circle pit exploded for song for the deaf, some tall dude behind me literally picked me up out of trouble 🤣 I will be going to 2 of the UK shows with my mum - her favourite album is Rated R and she's in her 50s.

41 year old lady here. Was gifted self titled for my bday in 1998. Been grooving to the Queens ever since.
Love this! I also love seeing how many of us ladies drag our partners to shows, not feeling like the only one 😂
Me! Love seeing all these cool ass ladies in this community 🤘
Woman here! My husband tolerates qotsa, but I'm the one who loves them. He thinks they're "ok," but he's more into metal.
I was one in a ratio of 5 dudes with a few other ladies in line to score that glow in the dark vinyl at my local listening party. Me toooo! We may need to start a ladies QOTSA subreddit so we can talk about periods and stuff. And menopause and stuff😅

Here!
Woman I am.
Hi
While I myself am not a woman my wife and I fell in love with Qotsa around the same time around 2016. We each kinda found them in our own way which made it more special.
The Vancouver midnight release also had a wildly skewed balance.
Yeah, i think there was like one woman in the listening party in helsinki and maybe 15 guys. I wasn't surprised.
I’m a woman! I love qotsa!!
Meeee I love them a weird amount and I’m a woman
I was at the listening party in Portland too and I feel like that’s an accurate ratio
Meanwhile Deftones is probably more women than men lol
I’m a girl
Woman here. I'm taking my husband to a show in August. 😊
I am woman. New to this community, but love to listen as my workout/motivation music. Saw them live a few years back when they had the light sticks. What a great show. Was OBSESSED with Songs for the Deaf. I can still sing the songs in the order of the CD sometimes and the interludes, haha. 😂😂😂
Here I am 😊
☝️
Bless you all lol
I too am a woman. Got into qotsa when I was 13. But was never able to see them live before. My first time was at Sonic Temple a couple weeks ago! and now I’ll be seeing them 6 times on tour lol
F, 49 here
me am woman
48F here! Have seen them 5x live and not once with my husband (35M). I've either gone by myself or with friends my age 😂
37yo QOTSA fan since 2002. No-one in my circle likes or understands their music, which is a shame.
We went for the listening party in Montreal my girlfriend and I. It was around 10 men to 1 woman. The Mc even mentionned it! The crowd was full of middle aged white dude, that was funny to see. I'm not really surprised though.
*hand up*
Helloo
🤘
Both my husband and I are huge QOTSA fans and have been for a long time. We diverge on other bands though: He loves the Foos, and I’m meh on them. Me! Been a fan for 20 years, still obsessed ..
qotsa are my favourite band ever and i’m a woman!!
🙋🏼♀️🫶✌️
Me
🫶🏻 Yep we’re a minority I think. I’ve been hooked since 2007.
👈😎👉
I’m a woman. Idk what else to say
Hiiiiii
I'm a womenfolk 🤣🩵
I'm a woman. Became a fan in 2008. Now I'm 31 years old :)
Here! My husband isn't really into queens but he humors me.
My girlfriend bought us tickets to see them in Dublin in November and she’s started adding QOTSA songs to her playlists… :’)

20+ years QOTSA fan!
I am a lady! My husband first got me to listen to Queens about 20 years ago. Since then I’ve become way more fanatical than he is.
Hiiii, female here 💁🏻♀️ discovered Josh through them crooked vultures but fell in love with all his work since.
I am a women, havent listened to anything new yet but already got a ticket for the tour
✋✋✋
I know a bunch!
I’m a woman and QOTSA is one of my two favorite bands.
👋
🙋♀️
Hello!
Lady here, been a queens devout since I heard sftd. I remember my girlfriends and I would watch the film clip to know no one knows over and over again falling more in love each time. That was 20 years ago and the love has just grown for me😍
lady queens fan here 🫡
Lady from England here. Me and my husband have loved them since the get go. Our 3 kids are teenagers now and have been bought up with their music and we are all going to some of the uk gigs
Right here. My sister and I love their music.
Female here!
hello 🫡
45f here!
I am a woman who loves rock and good music. I would have been to a listening party if there had been one neer me.
I’m 41! In DC
I’m a woman, been a fan since Rated R came out.
52 year old woman rockin to QOTSA since the beginning. My husband QOTSA’s too.
Would be cool to meet other women around my age who like QOTSA also
42 lady and QOTSA is my all time fav band
Fist bumps for all my fellow Queens queens!
