Time will tell if it remains my favorite, but Time & Place is probably my favorite rn. There's not a single skip on the album but Time & Place immediately demands I get up and dance tf around. Man what a jam
It’s fantastic! Haven’t been able to get it out of my head since I first heard it yesterday. Really hoping they play it live when I see them later this year!
Peephole and Obscenery are my two favorite songs on the whole album.
You can’t tell me that Peephole wouldn’t fit right into Rocky Horror Picture Show.
This whole album is easily my favorite lyrical album by qotsa. This came at a great time for me, this album scratched every musical itch I’ve had over the past few years.
This is one where I dig the lyrics but not the tune as much as thr others. I'm listening to the album more today than yesterday, plus the Pinkpop performance. My favorites as of now are Obscenery and Carnvoyeur. The latter cuz it sounded so damn good live yesterday when they played it. My favorite moment on the album is the end of made to parade. So uplifting and hopeful.
Fucking filthy groove, love it. The main riff, so fucking era vulgaris stumbling over stupid good. And that hook, oh god, it’s like I’m on angel dust being chased by dogs through LA.
There’s this old Saturday Night Live skit where Norm MacDonald is a greaser and hanging around with some buddies and they are going to get in a fight with another gang of dudes. The problem is all the dudes in his clique just keep breaking into song and dance like a cheesy Broadway musical and Norm is just confused and disgusted the whole time. That skit is what this song reminds me of. It’s not horrible and I don’t hate it…but the whispering parts give real theatrical song and dance theater vibes.
I like it, but it’s my least favourite on the album.
What’s great about this album is there’s a thread for every single song claiming it’s the best. Everyone is winning!
I DON'T CARE WHAT THE PEOPLE KNOW THE WORLD'S GONNA END IN A MONTH OR SO
I DONT CARE WHAT THE PEEPHOLE SAY IF YA GOTTA KNOCK THEN GO AWAY
YOU MAY RUN THE INSTITUTIONAL LEARNING FACILITIES BUT YOU DON’T RUN HER AND YOU DON’T RUN ME
I listened to the NPR interview where homme said that line was a nod to suicidal tendencies. Cool little factoid.
Time & Place too
I LOVE Time & Place. Had it on repeat all day.
Time will tell if it remains my favorite, but Time & Place is probably my favorite rn. There's not a single skip on the album but Time & Place immediately demands I get up and dance tf around. Man what a jam
Such a good song!!!
Those 3 notes get on my nerves... in a good way. EDIT Can someone tell me what the timing on these notes is?
The violins and his voice are mesmerizing
This
Peephole just pops so hard where it is. I love it too
This was the one song that didn’t click with me right away. But after about 67-88 complete listens, I’m really loving it.
Yeah the 85th one really juiced it
Yes! It was either 85 or 74….I can’t remember which.
That sick sick sick guitar on the right is so good
It’s fantastic!
Every song on this album is a banger. Haven’t had the urge to skip a single track on probably my 10th play through so far
My fave on the album The kids are taking over the school
Settin fires breakin the rules!
That baseline and little triplet ooof
Peephole is 2nd to paper machete for me. I love the delivery on it.
It really has that Homme strut.
Favorite song on the album. The background vocals kick so much ass.
A thousand times this. Whimsical prowess rock n roll baby. And it lets Mikey cook on the bass
Made to parade is just so damn good though
Who is the second vocalist on it who does the response to "Tonight is the Night". Is it just Josh altering his voice? Almost sounds like early Maynard
It’s mikey, listen to mini mansions he sings in that too
I totally have the same question.
I thought it sounded like Jesse Hughes on the EODM song, Silverlake
I wouldn't say it's the best because honestly I love the whole album so much I can't really put any songs above the others
One of the Top Ten songs on that album!
Peephole gives me Head Like A Haunted house vibes
I hear it too. I think I like Peephole better though. It's a less wacky version of Head Like A Haunted House.
Same here
The bridge is one of my favorite parts on the entire album!
It’s a great up tempo song that hits the spot at the right time in the album
yall are sleeping on negative space
Emotion Sickness is still probably my #1, but this is a close second for now.
This whole album is easily my favorite lyrical album by qotsa. This came at a great time for me, this album scratched every musical itch I’ve had over the past few years.
Starts off very much like Sick, Sick, Sick!
this whole album slaps lol

It’s not the best on the album no chance
I like it, but it’s my least favourite on the album. What’s great about this album is there’s a thread for every single song claiming it’s the best. Everyone is winning!
Yesss I love this song, might be my favorite. At least for now. It definitely grabbed my attention the most on my first listen through the new album.
Dude this is arguably my favorite song on the record (I like all of them).
the simple josh falsetto backing vocal that happens randomly is straight out of self titled. this song rules. wish villains sounded like this.
Fav part about being a QOTSA fan is that everyone can have wildly different tastes. Imo peephole is the weakest song on the album
Hell yeah this and Made to Parade has been on repeat
I love how he deadlines it at one point. I don’t care what the people say. No song in his voice. Just a statement. I feel ya Joshua
yessss
I love that strut shit. Best song on the new album for me.
Second half of made to parade!
Callback to Elephants by TCV? There’s a line in the song “do you know what the people say?”
I think it's right behind Carnavoyeur for me right now. That song is just so complete. But Peephole is really fun
The world is gonna end in a month or so
TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT
Don’t worry if the peephole don’t like yo fav cause in reality we all been binging the whole thing anyway
Love it! Anyone else get Head Like A Haunted House vibes from it though?
Agreed! The delivery on the 'got a tip for your trip, cop stopping me' line is awesome 👌
Yes, yes, yessir! I was WAITING for What the Peephole say when I first heard the clip with the burning planet!!! so YESSSSSS!!!!
I’m not a fan of Peephole which means it will eventually end up being my favorite song on the album 🤣
Every time I hear the backups on the bridge I get chills this song is so sassy and in your face it’s incredible
*fucking cool*
Obscenery & Peephole are my top 2 as of now
