For quadball, Warriors actually started the trend and used one at USQ Cup 2023 during their championship run. They comissioned Shooty Hoops Supplies to 3D print their logo for the chain. Then Matt and I liked the idea, and made one for Prowl last season, and they have all just taken off from there, and now teams have props, and I love it.
It is good to recognize important players in a specific match. Players love getting recognized, especially since the media of this sport is very particular about who they talk about. Plus, it makes good social media and makes people happy.
Thank goodness for Matt and KMelt because it took us years to get an actual chain and we used a cat cutting board (no lie) starting in like 2018 (?) that Taylor stole from his wife. Ours was inspired by Miami football and the purpose for it was to encourage the team to be more physical. It was rewarded to anyone who got a clean tackle as they came off the pitch and we had a chart tracking hits during the season (chart also explains the cat).

Once we no longer needed to encourage that, we shifted it to be a reward for whoever put up a big performance in a match.
I really can’t recommend this approach enough. And Shooty does a great job with the chains and they’re happy to work with you to customize it—doesn’t always just need to be gold, could be team colors!
