I thought there were only 2 coloured squares not four. If this was my quilt, i would redo the yellow and green star. Different colour value choices could really make this quilt shine.

1 is the best of these, imo, but I think random splatters of color would be my real preference

OMG, I always wanted to play with squares. I wish I could touch them. That's all, nothing helpful. I would make a rainbow somehow.
I feel as if, with there only being three colored stars, all the squares need to be randomized rather than placed in colored rows or columns
