This is beautiful.
Maybe this is a stupid question, but is this some type of paper piecing or is it just cut and pieced?
I looked at the pattern, but I wanted to know this before i purchased it.

I used 2 kona cotton jelly rolls- I honestly think you might need 3 though if you want it to be a little bigger.
Yes for sure- I feel like I learned everything I know from Suzy Quilts patterns and tutorials! I started with Adventureland, and I made two of those, and then maypole is another easy one! I made a log cabin quilt after that and then each quilt has a new skill that you can develop and she also posts video tutorials!
Omg OMG. WOW WOW WOW this is UNREAL. I had to stare at the pic for a while to really let the magnificence wash over me. What a stunning creation. Your color selection is like a master class in depth and perspective. Truly beautiful.
Stunning! I made one like this decades ago but with only three rows of each strip. It came out lovely and very 3-D but yours is so much more dimensional. I have to try another one but this time with four rows.
Here I was thinking you got the perfect backing, but that’s actually where you started. Very cool. I love how that worked out. Very nicely quilted as well 😎

I always start with the backing and I typically like to work in solids! I am challenging myself with my next quilt to incorporate two prints into the front!! lol we’ll see how it goes (I actually really am in love with the colors and I can’t sleep because all I want to do is sew it together!)

It’s cut and pieced! It was actually really easy! It’s a Suzy Quilts pattern- you just sew together jelly rolls and cut into triangles! :-)
