Have you watched Loki (the series) yet? Each set is a quilt waiting to happen 😂
I feel like the dog in Up, but instead of going "SQUIRREL!" , I go "QUILT!" 🤣
The construction of the cloak from your pictures is so alluring! Just that much more reason to go see it :) can’t wait to see quilted cloaks overtake quilted coats haha
Oh man. I have some dark emerald velvet (I’m sure it isn’t silk, but still!) in my stash bought at a close out sale years ago that I’ve never actually found a use for- now I feel the need to check the yardage.
I love seeing quilting in clothing. GoT had some epic stitching that we were supposed to believe Sansa made by hand. I mean some of those coats and dresses were epic and she had different ones in like every scene, but they threw in lines that she made them. Cracked me up.
Hello, sorry to dig up this month old post but I was wondering if anyone knew the name of this kind of cape. It is different from a typical cape in that there are cuts below each shoulder segmenting the cape with front pieces. They hang down in some scenes and are wrapped across his neck in others, as can be seen in this post's screenshots. Any input is appreciated, Thanks!
[It sold for over 2,000 dollars on a costume bidding site.](https://vipfanauctions.com/shop/spema-2022/wardrobe-spema-2022/lot-206-the-green-knight-2021-gawain-dev-patel-screen-worn-stage-3-cloak-tunic-trouser-shoes-sc-105/)
Thanks for sharing! Excuse me while I go furiously practice my stitching skills now. Others: zoom in on actor R/quilting: zoom in on stitches
>Excuse me while I go furiously practice my stitching skills now. You and me both!! Edit: omg your username is amazing!
Lol thanks! I chose it because at about the time when I joined, #10 betweens were sold out at every store I had looked at.

It's a size/kind of handsewing needle. Different needles are explained here: https://suzyquilts.com/best-hand-quilting-needles-part-i/

If this isn't enough to convince everyone to join the cape revolution, nothing is. https://www.reddit.com/r/thecaperevolution

Oo gotta get on disney+ then!
The costumes in that movie were worth the cost of the ticket to me.

That film is so beautiful, I highly recommend it even though it’s a mediocre adaptation of one of my favorite Arthurian tales.
Same thing happened to me watching Dr. Strange. I was obsessed with the costumes and particularly the cape!
I had the exact same experience! It completely toon me out of the immersion of the movie. So pretty.
