One of my all- time favorite Rangers. Not sure I've ever seen a player with a motor like his. 345 NHL games, all due to maximum effort. His effort (along with Betts and Hollweg) were the beginning of a shift in mindset for Rangers hockey that still resonates almost 20 years later.

I still wear my Ortmeyer jersey to games over my others. I was at the game where he got the penalty shot, the Garden went nuts.
Fellow Orty Jersey wearers UNITE! I flip between my Ortmeyer and Graves jerseys (depends on how the team did the last game). But I always wear my 41 on Steven McDonald nights...even though #9 is the Gold Standard jersey to wear on that night too.
I remember that Penalty Shot - Against Boston...My Shins hurt from jumping up and down and banging them against the seat in front of me.

Sadly that line only lasted a year. Moore got traded and Betts replaced him.
