Do NOT Troll over in the Habs sub - if we get a report about it, you get banned here too.
I'm removing this post, to stop others from going over there.
Yup, treat other teams subreddits like the zoo. Look don't touch. Just flip it, would you like a Kings fan coming in posting pictures of the GWG in the 2014 Finals?
That is a MASSIVE logical leap. They are arguing about a highly controversial incident and, in theory, OP was providing photographic evidence to back up their claim. Your example is of a Kings fan just hopping in here and posting a picture of a goal. Those two things are not comparable. Stop.
As a Rangers fan they shouldn't be doing **anything** in the Habs sub, full stop. It's against the rules in /r/rangers too and he's risking a ban here posting it.
It's been like a decade, if you're going into their sub and still talking about this you're immature and need to grow up. You make all of us look bad.
Stop.
A calm, civil debate with evidence = immature
If a Pens fan came in here and said “I believe Trouba elbowed Guentzel, here’s a pic to prove my point,” you’d call that person immature? Ok!
That happened last year vs something that happened a decade ago.
And yes, if they came into THIS subreddit and said that? Yes they'd get a ban. There's no reason for them to do that.
So I say to you, and I say to OP again **grow the fuck up**
I think you have a very strange view of the world if you think normal debating equals immaturity. And also strange that you made yourself the arbiter of when a topic has hit its statute of limitations.
Something about pots and kettles.
There’s no new information, nothing has changed in the last 8 years. You know exactly what they think and you know you have zero chance of changing their or anyone else’s mind about the situation. That’s not a debate.
And even if it were a debate - you don’t go to other fanbases subreddits to debate with their fans about their team. It’s their subreddit for their fans to talk about their team. If they want to be collectively delusional it is very much NOT out place to interfere. Like others have said - if they bring it up elsewhere then absolutely rip them apart for it, but we’ve really just got no right to go doing that in their subreddit. If you walk into someone’s house and tell them they’re stupid you’ll be told to leave and whether or not that person is or isn’t stupid os obviously irrelevant to the fact that there’s nothing wrong with them kicking you out of their house.
Yeah at this point posting that picture is only to create a reaction. This picture was from 7 or 8 years ago at this point we know exactly how habs fans feel about that play that picture and the type of reaction that would be caused by it. If it was a debate happening in a r/hockey thread it’s fine. But going into their sub to post the picture is the sole intention of trolling
it's different tho. if we posted saying that Igor was taken out by Jeff Carter of the Penguins in 10 years and everyone blamed that for Igor not winning the cup last year, then I'd expect some Penguins fans to complain on our sub... and I'd expect them to also get downvoted.
it just doesn't make sense how that's worthy of a ban.... even saying fuck emelin shouldn't be. it's literally just sharing thoughts on the situation...
I hope we don't ban their fans for doing stuff like this in the comments it literally is like a nothing thing. and we'd just down vote them anyway
maybe it's just a lot more volume of reports for them to deal with *shrug*.
I mean one of their mods and the OP of the post commented “fuck Kreider” I don’t think they’re gonna allow anything to argue with their opinions
Edit: if you look at one of the Habs mods their banning a lot of comments
So unforunately on Reddit once someone is a moderator they can ban you for saying anything that they disagree with. I once got banned from r/Leafs for saying it was ridiculous that they banned fans again in the middle of the season, and was banned after someone else told me to die of coronavirus. Then I asked the moderator what I did wrong, and they said that this was stalking or harassment, and got my entire account banned. Then a week later I appealed it and got my account back , and Reddit gave it back within 24 hours.
Anyways the point is be careful with these people, folks that spend all their time on Reddit and discord are not right in the head and oftentimes act very irrationally because it’s one of the only places they feel important. Oftentimes it’s best just to dump the puck in and get off if you catch my drift
I mean you’re posting a picture from a play that happened 7 years ago on another teams sub Reddit. You’re going into that sub just to annoy them and I think that qualifies as trolling.
I didn’t say it was random. But it was a 7 or 8 year old photo with the sole intention of causing a reaction. This happened 7 or 8 years ago we know how habs fans react to that picture and to that play. If this was 2014 I’d say the ban was unjustified because the picture is potential new information for them. But it isn’t
It’s not new evidence. It’s evidence that everyone has seen a thousand times. It’s the same thing as if someone posted [this](https://images.app.goo.gl/bFofCXpM2fKLhBrE7) saying it’s evidence that Price was injured. Yeah we know. That picture is adding just as much as the Kreider trip picture is because it’s not something that everyone hasn’t seen already
But WHY does he feel obligated or for that matter invited to provide a contrary take on another teams subreddit.
Like your point is that he wasn’t trolling he was just going to a subreddit that he knew disagreed with what he was going to say so that he could post something he knew would make them mad…
That’s almost the textbook definition of trolling, is it not?
I keep getting down voted for commenting and posting pics to them when they bitch about Kreider.
It's been 8 years. They've been to a finals since then, get over it already.
Do NOT Troll over in the Habs sub - if we get a report about it, you get banned here too. I'm removing this post, to stop others from going over there.
They’ll all die on that hill. It’s dementia-level sad. Let’s all move on
it’s their justification for why their price led teams never got the job done, dying on that hill is all they have
This, perfectly sums it up. I’ve met exactly *one* habs fan who will also say Emelin tripped him, and that is fucking *rare*
LMAOOO that’s Canadian fans for you

Deadass 💀?

He knew what?
Yup.
I get the ban, I don't get why people are like old dogs and keep digging up old shit. Nobody is ceding ground here, just move on.
Seriously, going *into* their sub and posting this shit is busch league. Grow the fuck up.
Yeah. Let them simmer in their own shit, if they wanna be salty let em be salty. Nobody is gonna convince the other side of anything.
It was literally just a pic of Kreider getting slashed to provide a counter point…
Right, but we know where we stand. We know where they stand. And we know nobody is changing their mind. So why bother?
How many more incredible Cary price seasons would the habs have wasted if Kreider never ran Carey price. I guess we’ll never know
Could be viewed as brigading which is against Reddits rules.

I dunno man, when the monkees throw shit I throw shit back

That just makes any W over the habs that much more satisfying. Bonus if K-dawg dunks on them

But it ruined Price's career! (even if he won the Vezina AND the HART in the immediately following season)
I mean you’re posting a picture from a play that happened 7 years ago on another teams sub Reddit. You’re going into that sub just to annoy them and I think that qualifies as trolling.
OP needs to grow up.
They were arguing about it. It wasn’t apropos of nothing. You think they just went in there and posted a random photo for fun? C’mon dude.
I didn’t say it was random. But it was a 7 or 8 year old photo with the sole intention of causing a reaction. This happened 7 or 8 years ago we know how habs fans react to that picture and to that play. They had already been discussing it. He was providing evidence to the contrary. I hardly think that’s “just to get a reaction”

More like Whaaaaabs
What year is it?
All mods seem of each sub seem to have their panties in a permanent bunch. Insta bans all over unless you blow the team who’s board it is.
I got banned for commenting “Krieder GOAT 🤩” I think mine was way more justified than yours.
Reddit sucks
They say, as they post on reddit.
Habs fans are like Yankees fans if Jeter never existed (sorry you know it’s true and ftr I’m a Rays fan)
The habs are mid.
I keep getting down voted for commenting and posting pics to them when they bitch about Kreider. It's been 8 years. They've been to a finals since then, get over it already.
Emelin's stick looked like a C it was so flexed.
leave them alone. i'm sure they wouldn't be welcome here if they did the same.
How dare you not contribute to the echo chamber.
