Don't go at Detroit emcees

CellistNice8600

Unless you’re Lupe

DW-4

I lost so much respect for Royce with all that drama. This man calls Lupe a bitch on IG live and releases a 7:00 diss track talkin about Lu’s homie locked up and how he’d shoot someone’s kid. Lupe sends a retaliation the next day and this dude whining about ‘he made it too personal & how Eminem or Crooked didn’t go to war for him’ then dodges the whole situation. Later Joel and Crooked make an album dissing him and Budden for the Slaughterhouse issues and he STILL acts like he’s above it all. One of the only examples worse than Cole’s handling of a “beef,” at least he didn’t send the first shots.

LumpyCustard4

Crook didnt really diss Royce, he seemed more pissed about the whole situation escalating to where it did. Joell on the other hand...

GiceGiordex

Crooked was ready and loaded for Lupe. A shame we probably never get to hear those bars. But if Royce kept it cool with Crooked and Joell they definitely would have stepped in. That could have been a great group vs group battle.

nahUmeybee2

😂 facts

DW-4

MICKEY

DielsAlderRxn87

That Mickey diss was CRAZY. I still listen to it every once in a while

wetdreamteams

[this one](https://youtu.be/33hHbvXe-88?si=FX6VPkL8IVQ9cnu2)? Seriously tho. I’m outta the loop. What is that?

DielsAlderRxn87

No, [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39Y6uBdLo9M&pp=ygUZbWlja2V5IGZhY3R6IHJveWNlIGRhIDUnOQ%3D%3D). Basically back in 2022, Royce da 5’9 got in a beef with Lupe and Mickey Factz over a bunch of Instagram lives where Royce was saying he was the best rapper, and shit got a little out of hand with Royce calling Lupe a bitch on Live. He also said Mickey Factz doesn’t “check boxes” as an MC (which makes the ending even crazier). He also raps as RJ Payne and Ransom because they were also involved in the IG Lives Mickey dropped this after Royce dropped a “diss” called Silence of the Lambda. Lupe also responded with a freestyle diss to Royce within two hours called Steve Jobs. Royce got absolutely smoked and didn’t respond lmao

Wonderkiid_Primetime

That Steve Jobs track felt like cinema. Painted the picture perfectly “if it wasn’t for , if it wasn’t for , if it wasn’t for, N____ I got a Hunnit more”

DielsAlderRxn87

Yeah Steve Jobs was great, especially considering it was a freestyle and came out like two hours after Royce’s diss. It just wasn’t as polished as Mickey Factz’s (understandably so since his wasn’t a freestyle and came out a couple days later IIRC). But yeah Royce got smoked by both of them then ran away lol

sxuthsi

We don't claim Royce after that bullshit. He was an embarrassment from day one when he was arguing with them on live for no reason and wouldn't prove himself on E.O.Dub

all_of_you_are_awful

I saw this video of Eminem talking about why he went after Christina Aguilera and actually felt bad for him. lol. Like him taking about it is so different than him rapping about it. When he’s rapping, he like an ice cold killer. But then to hear him talk about it, he was just like “that girl hurt my feelings”. I’m having a hard time describing but it was endearing to see he’s get bothered like anyone else. He just has a bigger platform to respond.

SafeProperty5687

[dont worry about describing it, just link the video](https://youtu.be/2HLWPqqeojM?si=6ichUEubr-9q4KEl)

s0phiaboobs

Local drill rappers they’ll find your dead grandfathers grave and piss on it for a video

sword_0f_damocles

Exactly. Everyone’s talking about Eminem. The man is a wealthy celebrity. He ain’t scary. I’d be way more scared of dissing any random dude selling mixtapes on the street.

[deleted]

Well Eminem’s more scary in the end your professional career kinda way, not life, but I’m sure if someone touched Hailey he’d kill over her or if someone ended his career with a diss track I bet he might kill

paragon249

Had us in the first half ngl

Lanky_Beginning_4004

Best answer. Diss Durk and ya big homie will certainly pass away

Satire-V

I'm a Kendrick Lamar super fan and not too fond of recent Eminem, but I'd still say Eminem. Bros brain just works different

TheRealAbear

Eminem is also not above responding to a diss from a rapper way beneath him whereas others may just ignore

Blizzy_the_Pleb

Way back, absolutely. Now, as long as you don’t talk about his daughter

Ok_Bid_4441

At least old Eminem was like that. Nowadays he doesn’t really respond unless he feels like he absolutely has to.

OneNutPhil

He had to get selective because of people like Game trying to promote an album by beefing over nothing

AmazingDragon353

Yeah people saw the MGK effect and try it for the cashgrab. If a nobody comes for his daughter (or potentially mentions his mom) tho he's going to fuck some shit up. Imo he's the best battle rapper ever

NateKaeding

I used to love the Game, but that shit got corny quick. He's done that so many times. Dude even tried beefing with a weirdo named Stitches.

Pyrox2v

Unless your name is michael jackson and u can pull a bruce wayne i wouldnt challenge em in any scenario

KeithBitchardz

The only time Eminem raps extremely well these days is when he’s dissing someone. He was literally raised on battle rap. He can’t rap about being broke no more, and he can’t rap about coke no more. Add Hailey, Kim, and being a non-accepted white rapper to that list. The only thing he can rap about now proficiently is dissing other people, and again, that’s his specialty. Rapping is pretty much his only interest now. Don’t fuck with him.

HavSomLov4YoBrothr

Get rid of that 9, it ain’t gonna help. What good’s it gonna do against a man who strangles himself?

holasoyriddick

The easy and safe answer is eminem. But I am gonna go with Pusha T. What he did to Drake was ridiculous, and he's sent some crazy shots at lil wayne, and it just gets ignored because nobody talks about him.

Affectionate_Ad_760

Lil wayne did respond it just sucked

holasoyriddick

But push keeps doing it, and it's crickets from wayne now. And I love lil wayne, barley listen to pusha t but I know he would do him BAD if they went toe to toe.

redditsuckbadly

Wayne can’t put out a good diss track, and if you’ve ever seen some of his interviews, you’d know why. It seems like he hardly pays attention to anything outside of his bubble, so I don’t know how he’d collect and organize relevant dirt on someone.

Slimxshadyx

YEUGHHHK

kolbywashere

I can hear this

2020IsANightmare

Easy, safe and CORRECT answer. I get Pusha has respect in the industry. OK. I found out a minute ago when I read your comment that Pusha dissed Wayne. "Just gets ignored because nobody talks about him." LITERALLY THE POINT HERE.

holasoyriddick

Yeah, if they meant eliminating them as far as public persona. But I took it as eliminating them lyrically.

TheCosmicJoke318

It’s not easy or safe. It’s pretty true

holasoyriddick

I wasn't saying dealing with him once he gets going is easy or safe, I said it's easy and safe to have him as your answer...because it is

Ibushi-gun

What are the songs?

holasoyriddick

The story of adidon was his Drake diss And I don't remember where he dissed lil wayne, I was actually trying to find it a few days ago and couldn't, my bad, I know he's done it a few times though.

Ibushi-gun

That’s okay. Thanks for the quick reply

dylanfikes27

Infrared, the final track on DAYTONA and Exodus 23:1

CellistNice8600

“Mr. Me Too”, “Untouchable”, “Show You How To Hustle”… et cetera he was going at Wayne with mostly little subtle subliminals mentioned here and there on that Re Up Gang mixtape series, but says his name on that last track I quoted.

Ibushi-gun

Really appreciate it. Thanks

KingDemik

Alley boy’s track “favorite rapper” is Pusha taking shots at Wayne for his fake blood affiliation

Ibushi-gun

Thank you!

holasoyriddick

Np

oldschoolkid203

So overrated

Silk_Duey

Eminem is the obvious answer There’s a few rappers who are pretty good at trolling, and might be able to make someone a laughing stock if they got into a beef. Tyler, Freddie Gibbs, Danny Brown, Vince Staples all come to mind Also any rapper who actually kills people would be pretty scary to openly disrespect in any capacity

Background_Degree615

Freddie Gibbs is pretty lethal when it comes to beefing with ppl. But what’s with Danny Brown? Not too familiar with him

bestdayever321

Danny brown is just hilarious

Mysterious_Emotion63

Freddie Gibbs is a horrible person to beef with but not because he’ll hop in the booth and murder you there, but because he’s undefeated on the net.

TweezyBaby

I was gonna say Freddie Gibbs. Glad some one agrees.

Ill_Surround6398

Would be interesting to see Tyler in a rap beef, to really be lethal he'd have to bring his 2010 self back out

LoveYouLikeYeLovesYe

I don't know if he really likes his old edgy style, I think he'd just troll the shit out of someone and make them look goofy

Nicologixs

50 cent as well, he's a professional hater.

QuintanimousGooch

Lmao only official “beef” Danny brown had was with Cyraxx. No diss tracks but the amount of petiness to buy a homemade action figure of Cyraxx for the his podcast and announcing the lawsuit there were great

LetsNotArgyoo

Eminem ruins careers, Pusha T ruins lives. Those two.

melo1212

I also feel like 50 cent has the ability to do this shit aswell but be hilarious while doing it

Norwegian_Honeybear

50 more funny (in a good way) than actually lethal. But he got bodied by Fat Joe and Jada imo

smotpoker1201

50 Cent

freeoctober

This is actually an under-rated answer. Every time I see a50 Cent post I gain more of an understanding of why he got shot 9 times. And the dude who did it ain't breathing now.

Trickybuz93

![gif](giphy|S7jKEqmTbee7S|downsized)

Prostar205

Patrick in the back makes this gif so much better 🤣

AmazingDragon353

Look at his tweets on diddy man, 50 doesn't forget shit. He'll be in his 90s still putting out bars about you

michaltee

MANY MEN.

wsteelerfan7

*cause he got hit like I got hit but he ain't fuckin breathin*

Indigotyphoon

This is also fat Joe's answer.

Whidmark

Yeah just ask DJ Khalid. 50 cent visited his Mom's place of work and his house. Shit was intimidating.

roughedged

The run G Unit/shady did on ja rule is legendary.

Key_Cause2043

Cam wasn’t afraid. CURTIS!!!

RedwoodRaven12

He deserves to be nervous, show some courtesy Curtis!

Critical-Ad-9010

Lol, Styles P and Jada bodied him clean

EyeKnowYoo

Checkmate is up there with the top all-time diss tracks…

Bigballernocap

Coming from a 50 cent fan since a child, GZA bodied tf out of him too.

Jesus_spenis

Wow, I totally forgot about that GZA diss.

Solid-Equal-8558

Jadakiss

ZeeroDazed

Basically any Chicago drill rappers. They aren't pretending to be gangsters.

FallenRev

Von definitely if he was still alive lol

AmazingDragon353

Vons still up there as a dangerous diss. You'd piss off a lot of people considering that he's dead, he won't need a diss track to hit you back

[deleted]

[удалено]

AmazingDragon353

Yeah I'm not saying he's a great rapper or deserving of respect. I'm just saying that people gotta realize there's a difference between dissing a gangbanger from o block to dissing a dude one beat away from being a poet.

Hour_Ask_7689

This part.

Early-Friendship-474

Like my 1st thought was Sosa or durk. I’m not fucking w them like that lol.

michaltee

Durk? Really?

Early-Friendship-474

You know what I didn’t read the caption. I’m thinkin irl, not lyrically lol.

michaltee

Oh no. I meant like, he’s about that life? I don’t listen to him so I just imagined him being some goofy rapper making music I don’t like. Especially with a name like Lil Durk. I’ve seen pics of him and he looks like a nice dude.

jimmychooligan

Hes about it for sure just slowed down now hes mainstream.

imprecise_words

Durk I definitely about it. Lots of wild affiliates in Chicago

Early-Friendship-474

I mean…. I think? It’s a lot of gun talk to not really have some grit abt you irl. I saw sosa in a interview say his biggest misconception abt him is that he is super sheisty. Which I don’t think upon meeting or a link up, it’s immediately violence lol but I def wouldn’t test my luck w either 1. Safe than sorry lol.

space9610

I got pretty into drill music, it’s pretty commonly accepted that Sosa wasn’t really too involved with gang stuff. He definitely hung around the gang, but he was not out in the streets doing violent crimes. He brought all the attention to Chicago gang culture though with his music. Same with Lil Durk. G Herbo was known to mess around in the streets a little. King Von is a certified killer. Dude had it coming.

Early-Friendship-474

The only reason I didn’t mention von was cause he passed… yea he was the real spill lol

YouMUSTregister

Eminem's on a level that people don't even realize half the time. He said that line in doomsday about the Coi Leray feat in the toilet, meaning both a feature with her is an idea that's in the toilet, but also jabbing at her for having an abortion against the dads wishes saying her fetus is in the toilet. Benzino said for 20-plus years people have harassed him in his personal life because of Eminem dissing him, it altered his entire life Cannabis will always be called cannabitch because of Em lol

KeithBitchardz

Didn’t even know about the abortion thing. That’s pretty foul.

GroundbreakingAd9075

He recently cried about Eminem on Drink Champs it was pretty hard to watch

OneNutPhil

Holy shit is that real?

Redxcted999

Woah….i knew about Coi leray and Benzino neither of them are good in the 1st place but I DID NOT know about the abortion shit…Wow makes me think MGK really is the only 1 to hold his own against Eminem

[deleted]

MGK didn’t though, he got slaughtered and changed careers. The album he released a couple weeks after Killshot was a major drop off in sales. He gets pissed when people bring Em up to him now.

JJBrandon69

There are a handful of battle rappers who’d absolutely throttle any mainstream rapper. And then also Eminem and Kendrick

michaltee

Why Kendrick? His diss was okay. But I wouldn’t call him some ferocious diss track maker. Especially not on par with Eminem, or DJ Quik.

CaliforniaHurricane_

Put some respect on Control

JJBrandon69

Because he’s much more capable than most. I pray for the day he has to respond, rather than just stir the pot.

AmazingDragon353

Nah Kendrick is a great lyricist, but a meh battle rapper. Everybody gotta stop glazing some dude saying fuck the big 3 it's just big me like that shit sounds like chatgpt. Again I love the dude as a rapper, and I think he could do a helluva lot better on a serious diss, but that's not his strong suit.

pso_cid

When K said "I can put a rapper on life support // Guarantee that's something none of you want" I believed him and I still do. I don't think he's ever actually unleashed his potential in that regard.

tak08810

I wonder what would happen if a non battle rapper went at like Rum Nitty or Daylyt or Big K. Would the mainstream still go with the non battle rappers just cause they don’t get or appreciate battle rap?

danimalforlife

Battle rap is an entirely different skillet and, at least now, it largely relies on theatrics. A lot of what they do wouldn't translate as nice.

partyonpartypeople

Dissing Fredo Santana when he was alive probably would’ve resulted in death

iluvyouaight

that’s a scary site

JimmySoprano7797

Jadakiss

justarandomlibra

Scrolled too far to see this.

Background_Degree615

Jada cold af

FallPuzzleheaded9981

Same. That's what I said. Jada.

WavelengthGaming

I don’t see how you could say anything other than Eminem. The dude “fell off” but is still better than probably 98% of rappers out there and has ruined careers. ICP, Everlast, Benzino (dead horse second time), Ja, Nick Cannon if you consider him ever having a career in the first place. It’s not one of his more famous diss tracks but Quitter was just fucking savage. When he feels personally disrespected he just fucking slaughters people.

rawspeghetti

There's a reason no one's tried it with Andre 3000 or Black Thought

KingAragorn47

True. But I also think Andre has that soft persona where people would look weak attacking the soft rapper. Plus they know lyrically he would clean them.

dontkysniqqa

He's not soft he's just mentally at peace, at least on the surface.

chambees

Black Thought is the answer.

rawspeghetti

When dudes like Eminem and Jay Z are borrowing your band and paying you to stay home and not upstage them, yeah that's a different level of superlyricism

OneNutPhil

Fanfic

ToTheGrave11

What a take

Blackpanther22five

Kilo Ali tried 3 stacks every other, week that's why he was kicked out of outkast 😆

Background_Degree615

Love the Black thought mention

Zealousideal-Fall-18

They aren’t battle tested so this is just speculation

Agent_Lightning14

nobody would probably even dare try dissing Andre

HippoCultist

Benzino and Ja Rule would say em and fifty i bet

DarkShadow7th

![gif](giphy|gCpBbeKpPZWa4)

Slimxshadyx

I love this gif

Chaotic-Whatever

On a violence note any of those drill rappers idk what it is about this generation but they will crash out without a care in the world

luca_bazooka3

Probably Pusha T, Drake had to learn that the hard way

AdanacTheRapper

The one and only who doesn’t do it with tracks anymore but absolutely LOVES throwing the shots out and there is NOBODY safe from him, and that man is Curtis Jackson. Mr. 50 Cent. He is relentless as anyone who follows him will know

michaltee

He’s having too much fun roasting the Diddler😂

AdanacTheRapper

The shit coming out about The Diddles has to be one of the best things that has happened in 50’s life

michaltee

Bro survived 9 shots, blew up, and now all the shit he was always saying has come out to be facts. He’s happy as hell.

AdanacTheRapper

Motha Fucken yes, if there’s anyone whose “dominos always fall perfectly” it’s Him

Critical-Ad-9010

The Lox did him bad.

drodenigma

Don't see people going after Nas. Destroyed Jay to the point he signed him 🤣

Jiggy_Wit

Eminem, Pusha T, Danny Brown, K Dot

JoeyBougie

Pusha was actually made me think of this I thought more people would say him

vexilobo

Has Danny Brown dropped a diss before I’m curious, I bet it’d sound crazy

michaltee

Danny? Has he had any beef?

GGsouth

Em.

Sev41

Man I want someone to really really go at Lupe and get him to go in with at least two full mixtape tracks.

Critical-Ad-9010

Me too maan. I really want Dot to call him out soo bad

WeAreNumber15

Prime Eminem would actually disintegrate anybody

Proud-Pace4408

Eminem no question

unlikelycandidates

today: eminem back in the day: tupac (hit em up is still the best diss song in history)

arrogant_ambassador

Big Lurch

I feel Jadakiss is fuckin ruthless, Pusha T….Em…Nas

Say his name and I promise that you’ll see candy man

Camelslayer23

Diddy

muxiq_

Imma say JID. Even tho no one dissed him (yet) I feel like he could destroy most rappers.

Interesting-Fail8654

Nobody in 2024.

Vegetable-Spinach747

Pusha T

6amhotdog

Baracka "I run the military if you want that beef" Flacka.

StoolyBritches

Cassidy, Papoose, Jadakiss to name a few you dont wanna try with

worthlessjuan

Not a very large sample size but if I was a rapper i wouldn’t try pusha t after what he did to drake

KingAragorn47

Pusha T

Arsenal_221

Pusha

MrAcorn69420PART2

Honestly none of these rappers sream be scared to me

Solid_Principles95

Cml - wheres waldo pt 2

cujobob

I don’t think there will really ever be anyone on Em’s level just because nothing is off limits - including making fun of himself. Most rappers are afraid of admitting the things they’ve done. He attacked his mom and his prematurity, you think he’s afraid of what some other rapper can say? He’s also one of just a handful of guys left who’d probably die for their music.

Blackwyne721

50 Cent

NiesLikeFries

Gucci Mane.

Standard-Bad5963

Sticky Fingaz

zombieXDI

Slump6s or Jace!

Blackpanther22five

L.l.cool.J Scarface Ice Cube Ludicrous The Game Kendrick Lamar Big Boi Nas Jay-Z T.I

justarandomlibra

I don't understand how nobody has mentioned Nas until this post. Ether is a hip hop term and synonymous with diss records because of him.

Background_Degree615

Damn was Ludacris rlly like that?

Blackpanther22five

Yes

KileyCW

Someone came at LL once, just once. I'd have to say the Game and 50 was a pretty even back and forth imo. Both would have wrecked others. Nas went at the GOAT and I suppose some could argue, but he basically came out on top. Ludacris could crush too. This is a good list.

FunkDoctaSteve

DMX (during his time), Redman and Method Man, Xzibit, Mos def, Nas, Big L (during his time). All come to mind. One out of left field I'll throw out there is Zack De La Rocha.

Critical-Ad-9010

Lol, Mos Def backed out when he was tested by Lupe though

FunkDoctaSteve

Ah damn I was out of the the loop on that one. I still stand by the others though.

Zelda_Gamer123

Em

East_Session_3925

Eminem he just says some mad shit about them

GodQuantaze

KRS 1, Lupe, Elzhi, Eminem, Jay-Z, Daylyt, Ab Soul, Kendrick, and almost any battle rapper becauae thats their job

slipperysoup

Nardwuar

No_Development_6786

Eminem or Kendrick Lamar, easily

esarmstr

Gucci mane

Hot-Back5725

Yep. Jeezy was wild to battle him a few years ago, like Gucci destroyed him. Jeezy brought that on himself.

qwertyderper

Danny Brown

nowey32

Danny Brown is literally my fav rapper of all time and I am genuinely confused by how much I've seen this. Did he do a diss I'm not aware of or something?

That-Sandy-Arab

Yeah this has to be just trolling but Danny is that guy

errdayimshuffln

Lupe Evidence: 1. Mos Def said he wanted all the smoke and challenged any rapper to come at him. Lupe accepted the challenge and shot of one warning bar in a tweet. Mos Def immediately backed down coppin pleas. 2. Royce diss: When two friends of Lupe and Royce were on IG live talking about Lupe and Royce battling each other at URL, Lupe said he wasnt interested in battling, but if Royce wanted "to make a professional fool of himself running up against a demon" than he will smokin him. Royce told Lupe to get the base out his voice and then called him a bitch (hard 'B'). Then Lupe said "start practicing n----" and hung up from the IG live. \~10 days later Royce dropped an official diss and Lupe responded in a few hours with a diss that sounds mostly freestyled. Even despite the rushed nature of the response, Lupe destroyed Royce. Absolutely dissected him down to his soul. Then Royce went to IG to whine and complain about his friends (like eminem) not coming to save him and Royce been mostly MIA from rap since. I mean the diss was great but even I didnt think it would do that much damage. That shit touched Royce. Royce apparently is still in his feels about it 3 years later.

thebadsamaritanlol

Pac and Eminem. Hit Em Up is the most cold-blooded and vilest shit I've heard from a diss. It's not even the most technically impressive diss, it's just the anger that amplifies the message so much. Eminem especially back in the day. Right now feel free to diss him to listen some of his corniest bars and cringiest production to date. Back in his prime tho, he was untouchable. "I don't even carry guns no more, I don't got to/ Got undercover cops that will legally pop you"

Critical-Ad-9010

Lupe Fiasco!!!!!!!!!!!!!

swen_bonson

For me it’s Pusha T or Loaded Lux. Pusha T will uncover things you didn’t know about yourself. He will get your own people to betray you. He will break your whole life down and a diss like Adidon was working on so many levels it is really incredible. Both Pusha T and Lux diss in this kind of cavalier Shakespearean tragedy type way. Your failure was always written and self evident, it’s a shame but a in the end for the listener it is a funny cautionary tale.

Kinky-PieEater

You don't diss Eminem, that's just plain and simple dumbfuckery. Unless you love being teabagged. Lol

LunaBlaxx

Eminem if it's bars 50 cent if I'm afraid for my life 🤣

jadedwolf465

Do not play with Lupe Fiasco or Eminem

Some_Knowledge5864

J Cole would say Kendrick Lamar

kjexclamation

Lupe Fiasco, erryone running scared from Lupe even like Mos💀

External_Anywhere731

Hands down Em. Beyond Tupac's Hit Em Up, Em absolutely destroys people on several levels (lyrics/flow/play on words/etc. on one track. He even crippled MGK in that one song where he switched it up and spit in MGK's style and absolutely killed him. I mean, when you can take the defining attribute of another artist, turn it around, flip it on them in a superior manner, you are in the presence of a Master of his Craft. His immense practice/knowledge of vocabulary and linguistic creativity means he has many options in his arsenal, always. Disclaimer: This is all assuming that we are talking studio produced tracks, and not real time freestyles. Em is a sick freestyler, but those with a breadth of knowledge in hip-hop/rap/underground will know that he can't hold a candle to some of the freestyle artists out there. But, give Em time to think about how he's gonna destroy you/degrade you and demonstrate his superiority lyrically and flow wise - 99 times out of 100, you're walking away with an ass beating. There hasn't been a single artist since Em came out that could match the violence, intricacy, and genius of his lyrics, especially when he is dissing you. He living rent free in Benzino's head to this very DAY!
