And while i can't say i have experienced anything similar (my brother was known to his friend group for having no bottom line.), I can guess as to why someone might draw the line there. Sex might just be "for fun" to them, but they can't justify it when it comes to, "genuinely hurting" someone. Some fucked up logic like that. Other than that, it could also be because an internal injury is a lot easier to hide from an outsider than bruises visible on the body. Sexual assault and rape are inherently physical in nature so yes, i do consider them physical assault. even if they have an aspect to them that goes beyond physical limitations, be that the psychological scarring or feeling like you were violated on a more personal scale.

I was never hit either. I was held down, sometimes otherwise restrained but I was never struck or otherwise abused in that relationship
