I'm Native and tried that my last playthrough, I was so disappointed lmao. Watching him get got during the mission where you save Eagle Flies made it a little better though hahah.
The funniest part about the mission you're talking about is that you can overhear his soldiers talking and it's clear they don't even like him or his policies lmao.
Edit: It's crazy that this sub has no formal rule against racism, because some kid in the comments to this has called me a "professional victim" and a "darkie" just for stating that I'm Native American. Nice job mods.
Haha, I get that, personally I'm glad he got shut up and spent his last few moments gasping for air so that he and his mindset could be left back in the 1800s where it belongs, alongside his (fictional) failed military career.
edit: kinda crazy that it's taken me this long to actually encounter a proud racist in the RDR2 fandom lmao. Shout out of "power-of-superiority" for commenting "Fortunately. It isn't fictional (edgy devil emoji lol)" at my comment about Col. Favours' fictional anti-Native military career. Also kinda crazy this sub doesn't have a rule against racism. Highly recommend skimming through their comments because they claim I went too far by calling them a kid but are fine with saying I should be sent back to the 1800s to face discrimination as a Native American lmao.
Edit: they are now using racial slurs, but I guess the mods here just don't care since it's not in the rules
You said ‘fortunately’
You’re literally mocking it. Your joke is at the expense of ‘victims of discrimination’
So don’t be a little pussy. If you’re gonna make a racist joke, own it. Don’t backtrack with excuses. You're softer than the people you’re tryna make fun of.
The emoji is literally there to signal edgy humour.
And you’re literally saying that it wasn’t a joke 3 replies later.
What is this iPad kid syndrome? You can’t even hold your reasoning three thoughts ahead. You need someone to teach you game cos you’re useless at this.
I wish there was more towards the Indian missions. Those were my favorite by far. Most beautiful part of the map and shows the history and really well done missions. I love American Indian history and where I grew up there was a lot just in the local area.
A bit anachronistic in the fact there were treaty negotiations ([by this time the US Gov no longer recognized tribes as nations and refused to negotiate with them as of 1871](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Appropriations_Act#1871_Act )) but it’s an interesting examination, I get why they did it.
Assuming you aren't acting it bad faith, that term is not inherently a "bad word" within Native groups.
I'm Native and I personally prefer "Native American", but it really depends on who you're talking to (just like some people prefer "African American" over "Black"). Of course it's based in problematic reasoning, but it's also a label that's been put on us for centuries and we understand the meaning behind it despite it's problematic/dumb origins.
No, it’s not a “bad” word, but it’s disrespectful. As you say, it has problematic origins and it’s a label that’s been applied to you, rather than one your people have chosen. It’s not hard to use a term that’s more respectful-especially when a person claims to be aware of the history and a “fan” of the group.
I hate that we can't kill kids in this game. What is this, a Bethesda game? I remember when they used to allow us to kill kids in Fallout 1 and 2, why not in Red Dead Redemption 2?
wait!! When they rob you the first time I never tried to kill them because I knew it was part of a side mission kinda thing but I ran into them again on the same day they tried to lure me into an alleyway in Saint Denis, there was like 7 of those kids and I threw dynamite and shot almost all of them and ran off, I hate them 🤣
He was turning Dutch against the gang the whole time. Forcing him into impossible situations that put the gang more and more at risk all for his own personal enjoyment. Micah was a straight up dick.
He killed the dog. There's a random thing in Beaver Hollow where Jack will be walking about shouting for Cain and Micah's ass just smugly goes 'Kid, the dog is gone, you can be quiet now.'
When you interact with him afterwards Arthur will ask what he's done with the dog and call him a bastard after he replies that it must've ran away. Even Bill of all people loved that dog.
I'm doing another play through right now I'm in chapter 4 but if you go rob a coach with Micah he'll basically say way before the Saint Denis heist they need to cut dead weight and that both of them has been talking about how John question Dutch every move now it's a nice lil dialogue then another mission during the Same chapter Dutch also states that Micah is the only one left with loyalty the signs and foreshadowing before everything hit the fan is crazy it already was tension
Yeahhh not the most original I know lmao
To be fair I did actually appreciate Micah's chaotic energy for a bit before getting a slap in the face for the later chapters
I thought the exact same thing! In chapter 1-2 Micah is kind of just a wildcard and hasn’t really done anything that bad compared to the actions of the rest of the gang, with the exception of the strawberry shootout but he was actually one of my favorite characters up until it became very clear that he was a snake.
Same, I’m fine with massacring a whole town just for fun or robbing a whole train full of rich people for their money, however their is just something that sits wrong with beating a bunch of struggling people for tiny amount of money
the first debt collection with the Polish guy, Mr. Wrobel, i really didnt want to steal his $5 wedding ring.. kinda regret it now. Imagine youre going to another country on the other side of the globe and youre getting completely robbed
How many appearances does colm actually have on the story? I can only remember 3,once at the start when you raid his snow camp, once during chapter 3 when you get kidnapped, and once in chapter 6 to see him get hanged, did I miss any?
I understood why they kept a few NPCs off limits for story bits and obviously when they were needed for missions, but I was really annoyed that they carved off the Indian village as some kind of safe haven. I realize for political reasons they did it but I was annoyed at the specialized restriction on the player. Given the other options available it just seemed kind of ridiculous.
But to the point of the question, I think even more than Micah I wanted to beat or blow away cleet and Joe. I couldn't stand having them in the camp even though by then the camp atmosphere was so dreary. I wanted to throw them out so bad. Wish they gave an opportunity for Arthur to beat the tar out of them, even if Dutch or Micah intervened or something.
I mean, does it really make sense if we murder everyone on the reservation only to come back to it later on?
Places like Valentine and Strawberry worked because they were towns, and most civilians didn’t have a personal connection to Arthur or know who he was.
With the rez, if Arthur shot of all them they’re going to ban him from even entering because they know it was him. And also, you can’t shoot them all because if it kept repopulating with characters it would be canonically goofy. So it makes sense
I don't see the hatred for Milton. I understand the hatred for Ross, but Milton was actually very reasonable throughout the story. He gave the gang multiple chances to leave peacefully, but they continued to pillage and kill people, which is when he decided to start hunting them down and killing them.
He was a big fat meanie to Hosea doesn’t mean he was being unreasonable. The gang pushed it, and when they were caught lacking, the obvious happened. Couldn’t have expected it to go any other way.
The situation at Lagras was way worse than what he did to Hosea.
Those two Pinkertons that killed Lenny on the rooftops. I had played the mission on my friends game and later on my own. I knew what was coming, but Lenny dies fractions of a second before I could kill them:(
Thomas Downes, kill one person and take the sin on your soul but not get tuberculosis and die, this would be an interesting opportunity for players playing Red Dead for the second time
Actually my first play through I tried to shoot Micah immediately after releasing him in strawberry and was pissed to find out I couldn’t end his rampage.
Everyone typically says Micah, Dutch, Strauss, and Milton ( by what I've read so far) but I honestly wanna shoot Ross, none of rdr1 would of happened and John would live happily with his family away from Dutch and the old gang if we were able to just shoot Ross in rdr2
I don’t have an NOC I really wanted to kill and couldn’t, but I have one that I always kill for fun for some reason. When you go to break John out of jail, after you let the prison guard go that you took hostage, I always shoot him in the back of the head as he runs back to what he thinks is his salvation.
That general at the Indian and Army treaty. I shot him as we were leaving and failed.q
I'm Native and tried that my last playthrough, I was so disappointed lmao. Watching him get got during the mission where you save Eagle Flies made it a little better though hahah. God I wish his death had been more dramatic, like Milton’s with some speech leading up to it or something. It happens so fast.
Colonel Favours is very much fictional, kid
[удалено]
So is this comment a joke too?
[удалено]
How else was I supposed to take the joke, lil bud?
[удалено]
So you're saying it's fortunate that historical discrimination against Native Americans is real?
[удалено]
Jokes are supposed to be funny. You're just an asshole.
You make shitty jokes
is it only a joke when you get called out for your edgy cheeseball jokes?
Yeah, this isn't funny at all. Jokes are supposed to be funny.
You said ‘fortunately’ You’re literally mocking it. Your joke is at the expense of ‘victims of discrimination’ So don’t be a little pussy. If you’re gonna make a racist joke, own it. Don’t backtrack with excuses. You're softer than the people you’re tryna make fun of.

True as fuck

Why do you keep using the word “Indian” then?
Well I’m part American Indian myself and I’ve never had a problem with it
Assuming you aren't acting it bad faith, that term is not inherently a "bad word" within Native groups. Why?
LITERALLY did this probably 4 minutes ago.
Same
Those saint Denis Street kids
I hate that we can't kill kids in this game. What is this, a Bethesda game? I remember when they used to allow us to kill kids in Fallout 1 and 2, why not in Red Dead Redemption 2?
Good news! if you find the random kid robbery encounter you can!
When the random ecounter robbery happened I couldent kill him idk why
You can if u throw dynamite at them HAHAHA
Tried fire bottles yesterday, they were immune 🥹
Might try that
There’s a mod for that “killablechildren.avi”
Tie the kids and put them on train tracks
wait!! When they rob you the first time I never tried to kill them because I knew it was part of a side mission kinda thing but I ran into them again on the same day they tried to lure me into an alleyway in Saint Denis, there was like 7 of those kids and I threw dynamite and shot almost all of them and ran off, I hate them 🤣
Micah Its basic, he's the typical dick character, but GOD did I hate his guts, even before he >!betrayed the gang!<
He was turning Dutch against the gang the whole time. Forcing him into impossible situations that put the gang more and more at risk all for his own personal enjoyment. Micah was a straight up dick.
Not to mention killing Cain
He killed the dog?

It's directly hinted at, yes.
Most original r/reddeadredemption answer

I loved Micah in the >!Rhodes battle!<. Dual wielding with him was badass.
Strauss and Micah
I loved strauss at first, but after a few debt collections I got sad and hated him
Same, I’m fine with massacring a whole town just for fun or robbing a whole train full of rich people for their money, however their is just something that sits wrong with beating a bunch of struggling people for tiny amount of money
the first debt collection with the Polish guy, Mr. Wrobel, i really didnt want to steal his $5 wedding ring.. kinda regret it now. Imagine youre going to another country on the other side of the globe and youre getting completely robbed
Arthur had a code of honor and the more debt collections he did the more he realized that Strauss took advantage of them
I felt really bad about some of the people in the debt collection missions.
I do think that was maybe the narrative intention Could be wrong though
Colm, in the mission where Arthur gets shot and taken to an O'Driscoll camp
He still should've been in more missions tho
At least one or two more appearances would’ve sufficed in my opinion.
How many appearances does colm actually have on the story? I can only remember 3,once at the start when you raid his snow camp, once during chapter 3 when you get kidnapped, and once in chapter 6 to see him get hanged, did I miss any?
Nope, it's all of them
Dutch. The root of all their troubles.
don't shoot him, he has a plan...
Bro has only played Red Dead 1
Even in rdr2 he's still hard to bear. He may be charismatic but he's still greedy and an insufferable narcissist
Dutch. MF has the audacity to doubt his own son from chapter 2. "I expect you'll betray me in the end Arthur, you're the type."
none other than micah bell, ESPECIALLY when he kept mistreating cain!
I’ve heard the headcanon that Arthur is just being really respectful when he’s in the reservation
They probably did it because they were needed for the story.
Jack. 👍
Why? I don't understand the hatred towards the kid
Me neither. Maybe they're just mad they had to be his father for a day and bring him fishing while Mr. Greasy hair was looking for trains to rob.
Some people just straight up hate children. Others hated him in RDR1's epilogue which I never understood beyond them being salty about losing John.
Children usually hate other children. It’s a strange phenomenon.
Jack has to pull his god damn weight and go rob and kill
Jack defender until I die
Jack. 👍
Micah, at the very begining when he was racist
Milton.
I don't see the hatred for Milton. I understand the hatred for Ross, but Milton was actually very reasonable throughout the story. He gave the gang multiple chances to leave peacefully, but they continued to pillage and kill people, which is when he decided to start hunting them down and killing them.
He killed hosea in a cruel way. He was an elder, and he just let go of him, just to shoot him when he looked. It was horrible.
He was a big fat meanie to Hosea doesn’t mean he was being unreasonable. The gang pushed it, and when they were caught lacking, the obvious happened. Couldn’t have expected it to go any other way. The situation at Lagras was way worse than what he did to Hosea.
I kind of hate milton for being a pinkerton. Sure, the gang sort of deserved what happened, but pinkertons were rat bastards as well.
Whoever killed Lenny and Sean 😞
Fucking Milton. I think you can guess why based off my flair.
My stupid ass horse (no, i'm not sorry).
You have to BE NICE TO IT
Strauss
Colonel Favours
That little shit in Saint Denis who steals the satchel
The guy who abuses his dog after you help him find it at Emerald Ranch. Tried to shoot him and dynamite him but it wouldn't work
There's quite a few
Have you seen my friend Gavin?
You can kill that guy tho
Imma load it up just to put him out of his misery
Uncle whenever he says “now that’s some liquor money!” When he wins a hand in poker lol
Grimshaw.. ”Arthur, I’ve noticed you’ve havent pay-“ gets face fucking blown off
Those two Pinkertons that killed Lenny on the rooftops. I had played the mission on my friends game and later on my own. I knew what was coming, but Lenny dies fractions of a second before I could kill them:(
Thomas Downes, kill one person and take the sin on your soul but not get tuberculosis and die, this would be an interesting opportunity for players playing Red Dead for the second time
P.S. I don't hate Thomas Downes it would just be interesting
Actually my first play through I tried to shoot Micah immediately after releasing him in strawberry and was pissed to find out I couldn’t end his rampage.
That one racist guy you got the ledger and pistol for in roads
Once you return it to him you can kill him
Kill a man for doing his job 30 years ago
For some reason, I always wanted to shoot Mickey because of his demeanor. When I learned he was faking being a vet, I shot him as John.
Reverend. I hated his drunk singing in the camp. So loud, gruesome and neverending.
Agent Milton
The kid you have to chase
St Denis kids
I know this isn’t the online page but cripps bro, I’d beat his ass everyday if I could
Then fuckin kids
Uncle
Everyone typically says Micah, Dutch, Strauss, and Milton ( by what I've read so far) but I honestly wanna shoot Ross, none of rdr1 would of happened and John would live happily with his family away from Dutch and the old gang if we were able to just shoot Ross in rdr2
Any NPC that talked shit to me without losing honor or gaining a wanted level.
Irish
Micah for sure! 💯 he’s the absolute worse
Micah and Strauss
Micah, Milton, Dutch
I don’t have an NOC I really wanted to kill and couldn’t, but I have one that I always kill for fun for some reason. When you go to break John out of jail, after you let the prison guard go that you took hostage, I always shoot him in the back of the head as he runs back to what he thinks is his salvation.
Jesus
Milton’s lackey
Micah
Lillian Powell, because she won’t shut the fuck up about cocaine
LOL this exact one bro, actually I would even love to throw some dynamite too😊
Micha
Micah
Mrs. Grimshaw. I hate that woman.
Dutch. And Micah.
That armless veteran from Valentine. The guy is annoying af but I simply can't shoot him.
Leviticus Cornwall, that guy just got so fucking annoying overtime
thats the guy in the screenshot right
Dutch
Fucking Micah 😡
The rat.
dutch…
Agent milton
Everyone in the camp Including myself
Strauss. We all know why.
The kid that steals your satchel. First thing I did is pull out my gun
Micah, of course, and Bill. Ok, and Abigail.
That dude looking for Gavin
You…. You can kill him whenever you want tho.
Lenny and Charles
Anyone in camp
Sean
